Where would I like to live

I think everyone has a place where they would like to live. Everyone has a dream in which they know what their future home will be like, where it will be, and what will surround it. Everyone knows or at least imagines the place where this miracle house is located. Of course, over time, when a person grows up, the place where he wanted to live changes in his mind, it seems to me, it takes on different shapes. Because the person himself changes, his priorities and habits change, over time he begins to like what he did not like before. But it seems to me that the place where I would like to live will never change, because I came up with it a long time ago, and gradually I am only slightly adjusting it.

I don't have a specific country or place that really attracts me, I would just like to live somewhere near the sea. It may be in Russia, or somewhere else, but perfect place of my dreams should be located very close to the sea. I really love swimming, so I would like to come to the sea whenever I want and swim as much as I want. This may seem strange, but I really want it. Perhaps this choice is influenced by the fact that summer in the place where I live is very short, and the swimming season is even shorter, because the water does not have time to warm up properly.

When I imagine a place where I would like to live, I imagine that it is very calm, it is a place where there are not very many people, most likely it is a small coastal city where there are bays where you can fish and sunbathe. that I don’t have very many neighbors, but we all know each other well and communicate in a friendly manner. Sometimes we get together in the evening to have a cup of tea and chat a little. The place where I would like to live should not have many tourists. Of course, I understand that if a place is good and convenient for relaxation, there will always be a lot of tourists there, especially during the tourist season. But, if you take into account that I am describing a place where I would like to live, and not a real one, I would not want to see crowds of tourists there, either in the city or on the beach.

In all sorts of social networks, I regularly come across the results of tests of friends about where it would be best for them to live: in what area, country or city... I always find these tests a little funny. I would like to ask: “Dude, don’t you know where you would like to live? Which area do you like best? But for some reason in social networks it is not customary to say directly: “I dream of living in Paris!” Everyone is hiding behind reposts of other people’s button accordions, test results... Either there is nothing to say, or laziness to formulate a thought... But I’m still glad that I have many friends who tell something about themselves, publish their own thoughts. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have logged into Facebook contacts at all.

But in general, I wanted to talk about something else. About where you and I would like to live. Let's not tie this conversation to money. Let's imagine that they exist. Well, let’s say some kind of remote income that allows you to live more or less normally anywhere. So where would you like to live? In what area: near the white sand sea beach, in a big city, in the mountains, in the countries of the East, near the cold northern sea? Where?

It would be dishonest if I only asked. :) I’ll also tell you about myself, of course. Yes, you probably already know about my reverent attitude towards mountains. :) I like to meet the sunrise above the clouds, I like not only mountains, but also high hills, I feel admiration watching how the evening light makes the final strokes on the wooded slopes, I love listen to the chime of mountain streams and the low roar of rivers turning stones.

But I’m not interested, like some people, in climbing the mountain that will be the highest in the belt in order to look at the surrounding peaks from above. For some reason I am completely indifferent to this. :) And my interest, as a rule, is limited to the mountain-tundra belt. Of course, in Nepal or on Elbrus we were also in the nival (that is, the belt eternal snows) and it was also incredibly beautiful and somehow even solemn, but here I already feel uncomfortable. Not even because of the physical condition, but because of the feeling that I had entered the door that I was not supposed to enter.

The photographs for this post were taken a couple of years ago in the spring Carpathians. We leisurely walked a short track and, it seems, discussed how different mountains are.

But I, of course, don’t want to say that I don’t like home, and I’m dreaming and dreaming of getting out of here. It’s also good here, but you always want to go to the mountains... Now I close my eyes, and in front of my inner vision the wind is swaying the dry Carpathian grass, the sky has already begun to turn sunset purple and night indigo, and the dense spruce forest in the distance seems black and completely impenetrable...
