Options for a great holiday in the Sunny Beach resort. Sunny Beach: how to get there, where to stay, what to do, where to swim, what to bring Tourism Bulgaria Sunny Beach

The map shows that territorially Sunny Beach is located between two major cities on the South-East coast, which have international airports: Burgas and Varna.

Here are the main and most optimal ways to get to the resort:

  1. Airplane.
  2. Bus (or tourist shuttle).
  3. Taxi.
  4. Personal car.

By plane

The easiest way to get to Sunny Beach from Burgas airport. IN high season, which falls in July - August (the time for vacations at sea), planes land here up to fifteen times a day from different cities of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Perm, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod.

Regular flights are offered by the national carrier Bulgaria Air, as well as Russian airlines"Siberia S7", in addition, you can use charter flights, for example, the company IFly.

The cost of a round-trip ticket, depending on the season and timing of purchase, will range from 160 to 350 €. I still recommend planning your trip in advance to save up to half the cost of tickets. You can monitor air tickets on aggregator sites or, for example,.

Those who want to get rid of the problems of finding a ticket can turn to intermediaries: travel agencies and tour operators offering a wide variety of flight options at any time of the year and for any period.

From the airport to the central bus station of Sunny Beach there are buses No. 10 and No. 22 (see section “By bus”).

You can also take a taxi to the resort. In fact, the bus station is the center of the coast, where tourists “nest”.

By train

Get to Sunny Beach directly using railway transport will not work, since this region lacks the appropriate infrastructure.

The nearest station will be the station in the city of Avtogara Yug, where you can arrive from Moscow (see the section of the review article about Bulgaria).

From Burgas railway station (Avtogara South) to central station Sunny Beach is served by buses No. 10 and No. 22 (see section “By bus”). Having traveled one stop from the Sunny Beach bus station on any city bus (see section “How to get around”), you will find yourself in the very heart of the resort.

By bus

City buses

Regardless of whether you arrived by plane or indulged in the pleasure of traveling by train, a comfortable M-bus bus will take you to the Sunny Beach bus station, which runs daily every 15 minutes.

The ticket price is 3 € (6 leva). Travel time is approximately 40–50 minutes. The central bus station stop is located right next to railway station Burgas, but from the airport you will have to walk about seven minutes to the stop (towards the bridge). This place does not have a specific address, but you should ask about the bus stop to Sunny Beach. Local residents and taxi drivers know about it.

Please note that the bus goes to the central bus station of Sunny Beach. If you are coming here for the first time and plan to get there on your own, check where exactly your hotel is located. For example, to get to the unofficial center of the resort (the Kuban Hotel and Casino), you need to travel one stop on any city bus. It is more difficult to get there from Varna. There is also a regular bus service from the central bus station to Sunny Beach. A ticket will cost 6 € (12 leva). Travel time will be approximately 2.5 hours. But from the airport you will have to take a taxi; the distance is about 110 kilometers and will cost you 50–75 € (100–150 leva).

Tourist shuttles

For vacationers big company You will like the tourist shuttle or the eight-seater minibus of our minibuses. A ticket for it can be ordered in advance on the official website of the company . A representative with a sign will meet you in the arrivals area and guide you to the bus. The cost of the trip will be 7 € (14 leva).

I use the bus most often, but if you have to get there at night (city buses run from 6:00 to 20:00), you can’t do without a taxi.

Remember that to travel on the bus, money in local currency must be prepared in advance, since it will not be possible to pay in euros, dollars or rubles. Tested from personal experience, Bulgarian conductors are adamant. Exchange some levs in advance for your trip.

By car

By taxi

The easiest way to get to Sunny Beach by car is to take a taxi. For example, from Burgas, if you flew there. But here I advise you to be very careful, since the greed of the local “bombers” can go beyond all imaginable limits.

The average price for the road to the resort, a 36-kilometer journey, should NOT be higher than 20 € in high season (July - August). Believe me, taxi drivers will demand 30 €, 50 €, and even 100 € (seeing that you are not in the know). Do not fall for such dishonest manipulations, demand an adequate price.

A nuance: knowledgeable people will not be too lazy to go to the bus stop (see its location above), which is located next to the airport, where a taxi will cost much less.

You can negotiate with the driver for 5–10 € (10–20 leva) if you go with several other people. I think that such savings will not hurt single tourists or couples.

By personal car

Those who like their own “steering wheel” can rent a car at the airport upon arrival in Bulgaria. There are representatives of companies in the arrivals hall; they are located on the left in the direction of travel. You can often see cars with Russian license plates on the streets of the resort. Vacationers who plan to stay here long term(from two weeks), come to Sunny Beach, covering more than 3,000 kilometers. Now all possible routes bypass Ukraine, so such a trip has become much longer and, accordingly, more expensive.

Everyone can build their own route using a navigator. The bulk of tourists travel through major European cities. For example, a route might look like this:

Sunny Beach in summer

In the summer, Sunny Beach dresses up in its brightest colors, luring tourists with the clink of glasses in the beach bars and the dance rhythm coming from all the nightclubs. This is the time of flowering of the southern acacia, the night singing of cicadas, as well as the peak of work for all hotels and entertainment venues. Attractions, water parks, water activities, night trips on a yacht - what they offer you to make your vacation unforgettable. Just have time to prepare the money! Golden beaches, carousels, a variety of cocktails, ice cream of all varieties, the smell of delicious pizza spreading along the entire embankment - it is impossible to resist these temptations.

Even taking a promenade to the center a couple of kilometers away, you will come across a small restaurant serving Serbian cuisine, where you will be tempted to buy fish, tested from personal experience!

The weather at this time consistently pleases tourists: the air temperature does not drop below +29 °C during the day, and the water temperature reaches +24–26 °C. In July - August, you most likely won’t experience not only rain, but even just a cloudy day. Sunny Beach is truly filled with sunshine without a single cloud!

This large Bulgarian resort is noisy day and night. It seems that people don’t sleep here, but party around the clock! Children frolic on trampolines, take pictures with colorful parrots, braid their hair, women bask in the hands of caring massage therapists and try on new looks in shopping centers, men appreciate local beer, snacking on it with fish, sometimes caught with their own hands. In short, everyone finds joy to their taste here and indulges in relaxation to the fullest. Of course, summer is the season of Sunny Beach's resort glory.

Sunny Beach in autumn

In September-October, the tourist flow subsides, which means that vacationers will be able to save money by arriving on the coast in early autumn. Accommodation and tickets become 5% cheaper. Prices for fruits and vegetables are 15–20% lower. At the same time, the quality of beach holidays remains unchanged. Except for one small “but”. In September, the weather from time to time begins to present surprises: you are going to the beach in the morning, leave the house, and then it begins to rain.

True, they say that autumn in Bulgaria begins only on September 15, which means that until this time all cloudiness is short-lived, and the sun still predominates in the sky. The temperature remains comfortable for walking and swimming: the air warms up to +27 °C, the water to +21–23 °C.

There are fewer tourists, the summer bustle is subsiding, and a calmer atmosphere reigns in bars and clubs. The other side of the coin is that at the end of September most establishments close.

As for me, I specifically came to Sunny Beach in the summer, and then stayed here in the fall to see with my own eyes how the giant resort is gradually dying out: restaurants, bars, ice cream stalls are closing one after another, trampolines are being deflated and removed, switching off until next year water in the slides of large water parks. On the one hand, the streets are calmer, but on the other, you become a witness to a sad spectacle, as if a huge monster is hibernating before your eyes.

Personal advice: when vacationing in Sunny Beach in the fall, plan a cultural program. Autumn gives you the opportunity to enjoy leisurely day walks to the neighboring villages: Kosharitsa, Tynkovo, Ravda, and Nessebar. We wrote about the last town.

Since November, Sunny Beach has been dying. Most shops and restaurants are tightly closed until the summer. By coming here, you risk sharing your resort community only with the cats and dogs that live here all year round. Seriously, the air temperature during these months can hardly be called comfortable: from +15 °C to 0 °C, and a strong piercing wind often blows from the sea during this period. Do you need it? There is no entertainment except for a walk in a warm jacket and a hat with earflaps along the deserted embankment.

Sunny Beach in spring

In April - May it is cool in Sunny Beach. The air temperature does not rise above +20 °C, but everything begins to bloom and bloom beautifully.

The swimming season is not yet open, but I know people who come here in April to enjoy the cleanest mountain air, not clouded by the summer heat. So holidays here at this time of year are more cultural and recreational.

Sunny Beach in winter

In winter, as you understand, the situation in Sunny Beach is even worse compared to autumn. It doesn’t even smell like the sun anymore, but it’s getting colder every day. If in the fall it was possible to comfortably explore the sights and take long hiking for the whole day, then in winter it is more difficult to do this: the air temperature drops to -10 °C, the strong wind from the sea intensifies, so walks along the embankment cease to be pleasant.

Of the hotels, mainly only those that provide SPA services to clients operate (the number of such hotels is no more than 10%). It would seem, what can you do here in winter? However, talking with Russian owners who constantly come here, I was surprised when I heard that some families have a tradition of coming to Sunny Beach for New Year December. There is almost no sun here, so I still don’t understand what the point is in such a winter voyage to a summer resort.

Districts. Where is the best place to live?

Looking at Sunny Beach from a bird's eye view, you will see that on the north side it borders resort town, and from the south it adjoins the new part of the city.

All eight kilometers along seashore- all hotels, bars, casinos, restaurants.
Conventionally, I would share tourist resort Sunny Beach is divided into three zones:

  1. First line of the sea. These are hundreds of luxury hotels, most of which are at least 4*. In my classification this is "party zone". On the given map are all hotels located from the sea line to the main street.
Some hotels are located right on the beach, so when you go out in the morning for breakfast, you can admire the sunrise ( geographical position Sunny Beach is such that you can see the sunrise on the sea, and the sunset in the mountains in the west). The center of Sunny Beach is considered to be the area of the Kuban Hotel.
The tall white tower with the red and blue colors of the inscription can be seen from almost any point on the coast. This is a kind of “navel” of a large resort. Near this place there are shopping arcades, the most fashionable and expensive restaurants and nightclubs. In the evenings, people loudly invite you to bars and offer cafes for dinner. Personally, I don’t find anything special in this area, it’s just a lot of hustle and bustle, but for some reason tourists like to come here from all over the coast, wander through the stalls, pushing each other. In a word, “Kuban” is a kind of Arbat, a local symbol. As long as the Kuban hotel stands, Sunny Beach is alive.
  2. Second zone I call Sunny Beach "owners' zone". These are hotels and apartment complexes located between the main street and the main road to Varna and Burgas.
These are mainly 3* hotels that have their own closed area, reception, swimming pool and small restaurant. In most of these hotels, the property is privately owned individuals who come to relax on their own or rent out apartments. The distance to the sea is up to one kilometer, this is considered walking distance, but you will have to walk about fifteen minutes to the beach.
  3. TO third zone In Sunny Beach, I include streets and villages more than two kilometers away from the sea. I call this part of the resort "zone local residents» .
There are practically no hotels here. Despite the fact that Sunny Beach is an extremely party place. In this area there are houses, schools and kindergartens, where the few indigenous inhabitants of this resort live. There are few of them, but they exist. Here you can find the cheapest grocery and hardware stores, clothing markets and small cafes where only locals sit. By the way, those who like a completely budget vacation can, if they wish, negotiate with the owner and rent a room (not a separate apartment) for 5-7 € (10–15 leva) per day. It can be done . This method is, of course, suitable for students and single tourists saving on housing. I would like to advise tourists not to disdain this area; these streets also have their own flavor. Fed up with the noise and din of the embankment, take the time to wander along the third line, just to see a different Sunny Beach: unglamorous, simple, truly Bulgarian.

To summarize

When choosing a place to stay in Sunny Beach, proceed from your own tastes and expectations from your vacation. If you are traveling with a large group and plan to have fun, go to bars, dance until the morning and enjoy the sea, choose the first line of the sea. You will then get some sleep and relaxation at work. Travelask section, which contains information on most large hotels coast, will help you choose the most suitable hotel option in terms of price and quality. You can book your favorite hotel at Booking.com.

Being family people, living according to their own schedule, having children and a desire to improve their health at the resort, and not undermine it, choose the second line. There are many large supermarkets, hardware stores, parks and just beautiful places for walks. You can rent a studio or apartment, for example. If you set out to find the best option, don’t be lazy to look at social networks, where there are great amount groups and communities of homeowners who rent out their properties. Here, by the way, you can find advertisements about useful services and tips for tourists (excursions, pharmacies, etc.).

If your first priority is not the comfort of housing, but the price and desire to see real Bulgarian life, go to the “local residents zone”. Having sacrificed everyday comfort, you will see a non-tourist and non-pretentious Sunny Beach. You will be proud of yourself later.

What are the prices for holidays?

By the way

If you have time, take a look at the unusual park located nearby. After walking in Old Nessebar and getting lost in its streets, don’t forget to look into the natural area located on the border of the new district of Nessebar and Ravda. There
there are wonderful ones sand dunes, which, by the way, are included in the list of state-protected attractions.

That's what they are, these dunes.

Saint Vlas

Like Old Nessebar, Sveti Vlas is adjacent to Sunny Beach, only on the opposite, northern side. I still advise the most athletic tourists who want to gain health and vivid emotions on vacation to try to get there on foot.

The distance is small, from 2 to 5 kilometers from the part of Sunny Beach where you live, but so many emotions!

How to get there
  • City buses No. 5, 8. Their stops are the same as route No. 1. The fare is 0.75 € and 2 €, respectively (1.5 and 4 leva). The time interval between buses is longer: if you are not lucky right away, you will have to wait about half an hour for the next bus.
  • Taxi. The cost can vary from 10 to 50 € (from 20 to 100 leva) in different taxi tariffs.
  • The journey by car will take 15–20 minutes from the place where you are relaxing.
What to see

The city is mostly located at the foot of the Stara Planina. Some houses are located above 100 meters above sea level. Walking the streets of Vlas is not easy: up and down. Comfortable shoes and a Panama hat will definitely come in handy here.
Russian speech is heard everywhere: as in Sunny Beach, most of real estate is privately owned, including by Russians. Therefore, if you meet a young family with a stroller on the streets, sporty look pensioners or a fashionably dressed couple, rest assured, they are Russians! But let's get back to the attractions:

A huge Bulgarian flag flutters above the tower and can be seen from afar. You can get there by a free water park bus (which picks up tourists at public transport stops, highlighted with blue arrows).

There are buses to the water park every 15–20 minutes free bus, picking up tourists from city bus stops. This is the most convenient way to get to your destination.

Working hours:

  • June 21–August 24 - from 9:30 to 19:00;
  • August 25–September 15 - from 10:00 to 18:00.

Price:

  • Children under 0.90 meters tall are free.
  • Children 0.90–1.30 meters tall - 10 € (20 leva) (full day), 5 € (10 leva) (after 15:00).
  • Adults above 1.30 meters - 18 € (35 leva) (full day), 13 € (25 leva) (after 15:00).

Scheme

For the convenience of vacationers, on the territory of the water park there are:

  • 13 water slides of varying difficulty (18-meter slide “X-treme”, “Kamikaze”, “Free Fall” are just some of them);
  • swimming pools for adults and children;
  • children's area;
  • kiosks with ice cream, corn, water and juices;
  • cafes and bars;
  • changing rooms and safes for storing personal valuables (for a fee).

Life-size animal sculptures are located throughout the park. They bring great pleasure to adults and children.

Children under 6 years old enjoy the children's area of the water park, which has its own slides, fountains, rope ladders and much more.

Action water park leaves no one indifferent. Visit - you won't regret it.

Don't forget to take sunscreen!

Karting

The length of the route is 450 meters. There is a professional surface (a local racing team trained here) and special equipment.

How to get there

Located on the E87 highway, Burgas-Varna, near the Action water park.

The black sign shows the location of the karting track. You can get here by getting off the Palma (center) stop of city buses No. 1, 5, 8 and walking about 15 minutes along the shopping row to the E87 highway.

Price:

  • 10 minutes - 15 € (30 leva),
  • 15 minutes - 20 € (40 leva),
  • 20 minutes - 25 € (50 leva).

Peculiarities

You can race in Honda go-karts, having first put on a balaclava (individual, disposable) and a helmet, which is issued by the track staff.

Each lap is measured, and you can find out at what speed and in what time you covered the track. Riders are usually satisfied.

Fishing

Men begin to miss their hobbies very quickly on vacation. This section is for those who love fishing. All kiosks that sell excursions also offer fishing on small boats.

Price

The session will cost 30 € (60 leva).

Included in the price:

  • Transfer to Nessebar (fishing starting point). Starts at 6:00.
  • Fishing in the sea (for six hours).
  • Transfer to home.
  • Fishing rods and worms.

Fishing takes place directly opposite Old Nessebar. Gobies, mackerel and small horse mackerel are caught.

The emotions from the process and the sea - all this leaves pleasant memories.

Shopping and shops

While men are fishing, children are joyfully sliding down the slides, and extreme sports enthusiasts are getting their adrenaline pumping on go-karts, what should beautiful creatures, the weaker sex, do?

That's right, shopping! More precisely, the right shopping.

Throughout the entire resort there is a large, no, even a huge number of souvenir shops, benches, and supermarkets that sell magnets, key rings, souvenir plates, clothes, shoes, and locally produced cosmetics. In many you can find playing cards, backgammon, and chess.

Shops with beach accessories are popular among vacationers.
How not to get confused among this variety and make the right purchase, which you won’t regret later?
To begin with, I advise you to visit one wonderful place.

Royal Beach Mall

By the way, this is the only real one shopping mall on the territory of Sunny Beach. In fact, it occupies the first two floors of the five-star Royal Beach Barcelo Hotel.
Here it is on the map, lost among the hotels closer to the first line of the sea. On main street The landmark is the Oasis Hotel and the bus stop with the same name (any city bus number goes here).

More than 100 shops, two restaurants, bars, a pastry shop, a bank and a fairly spacious parking lot for 1 € (2 levs) per hour. I’ll say right away that only in this mall you can buy quality things. There are both well-known brands and Bulgarian ones.

I personally recommend checking out the Fetish store, these are quirky items from two Bulgarian designers from Plovdiv at very good prices. Let's say, leather shoes of an original design will cost only 80 € (150 leva)! But this is completely handmade and unique design. Having come to this store twice, I left twice completely changed from head to toe! The store will especially appeal to fans of grunge style.

In other stores the prices are different, sometimes you can bargain. There are often discounts, especially in the second half of August when the season comes to an end.
If you buy several expensive items worth more than 500 €, register Tax Free. At Burgas Airport you can receive a tax refund of up to 20% of the cost.

Last year I would have said that this is where quality shopping in Sunny Beach ends. But! The discoveries continue: this summer, while wandering around the Kuban Hotel, I came across charming handmade red shoes for only 50 € (109 leva)! So seek and you will find, as they say.

For those wishing to purchase pink cosmetics on an industrial scale, I recommend going deeper into the coast and finding a wholesale store. He is located here.

The landmark is the Kuban Hotel, from which you move in the opposite direction from the sea all the way and turn left until the sign “Bulgarian Rose. Warehouse".

Prices there are two times lower than on the coast. And the choice is excellent! So I recommend not to be lazy.

By the way, the last one. On Sunny Beach there is not a single, you know, not a single decent store of decorative cosmetics. There are more than enough pink creams and lotions, but you won’t find mascara or eye shadow during the day. Inexplicable but the fact.

Bars. Where to go

Clubs and nightlife

Sunny Beach is famous for its nightlife and therefore thunders throughout Europe. Young people from all over the world come to hang out, meet each other, and socialize. All conditions have been created here to forget about problems, worries and surrender to the power of music, alcohol and passion.

In the evening the doors of all clubs open. They work seven days a week.

Dance clubs

One of the oldest dance clubs in Sunny Beach is the Disco Orange club.

You can get to it by any of the city buses, going to the Strandzha stop. The audience there is mostly foreign, a lot of English. The music is not bad. Of the minuses: entrance is paid for everyone and will cost 15 € (30 leva). Plus drinks that start from 5 €.

Nightclubs Revolution Music Factory and Dance club Mania, Cacao Beach are popular among young people; they can accommodate up to 1,500 people.

It is located on the other side of Sunny Beach near the beach. Geographically, this is a city bus stop at the Arda Hotel. Six dance halls with different music (including national Bulgarian pop), a chic bar overlooking the sea and free entry for girls until midnight.

This is the best dance club in my hit parade!

Working hours

Clubs open their doors from 22:00. At 00:00, as a rule, the dance floor begins to fill up. The peak occurs at 2:00. The hall is packed to capacity. Establishments usually close at 5:00–6:00. From time to time, clubs invite DJs from all over the world, this can be seen on posters posted throughout the city, as well as on the websites of recreational areas.

Cost of holiday

If the entrance to the club is paid, it costs 3–5 € (from 5 to 10 leva). The ticket price may depend on the number of people in the company. The more people there are, the cheaper the ticket per person.

If you are interested in club life, take the flyers that are handed out throughout the day on the central avenue. Often, as a bonus, you get free entry to a particular establishment or a cocktail as a gift.

Great music and inexpensive drinks from 3 € create a festive atmosphere.

Gaming clubs

The gaming business in Sunny Beach has been legalized. This is a paradise for gamers. The resort's most famous casinos are located in hotels. Platinum, Kuban, and Hrizantema hotel-casinos are popular.

They work around the clock and every day. Due to the lack of personal experience playing in a casino, I cannot say what the probability of winning is in this place, but, apparently, there is a certain amount of adrenaline in such a game. I live not far from the Platinum casino and constantly see cars of the establishment’s clients driving up to it, some of which are very expensive.

Extreme Sports

The beaches of Sunny Beach offer all available water sports:

  • water skiing (from 25 € per person),
  • windsurfing (from 35 € per person),
  • diving (from 50 € session with instructor),
  • parachute flight (from 25 € per person).

Items extreme species sports are marked on the map.

I’ll tell you about one in more detail.

Windsurfing

Waterboarding is very popular on the beaches of Sunny Beach. The conditions here are ideal for beginners. There are no big waves, a flat coast and an average wind.

There are several places to study along the coast. Go to any point on the beach that offers water entertainment services, and they will tell you where the windsurfing rental points are located.

For example, one of these is located on the border of Sunny Beach and St. Vlas (there is a huge four-star Riu hotel).

Price

Skating equipment costs 35 € (70 leva) per hour. If you want to take an instructor, it will cost you an additional 35 € (70 leva). It is worth noting that these prices are lower than at similar resorts in Italy, Spain, and Cyprus.

Be sure to try windsurfing, you will love the headwind and the gliding drive. Children begin to be taught at the age of 10.

Souvenirs. What to bring as a gift

Coming back from vacation, we certainly want to bring cute souvenirs and nice gifts to our family and friends, and often to ourselves.

I'll tell you about the most popular ones.

Rose oil

This bus runs every day from 10:00 to 22:00. The time interval between buses is 40 minutes. Departure from the Orange Club.

Trip cost: 1 € (2 levs) for adults and 0.5 € (1 levs) for children.

Intercity buses

In addition to municipal buses there are intercity routes, as well as those plying between nearby villages (Kosharitsa, Ravda, Tynkovo). Such routes begin from the bus station (“avtogara” in Bulgarian), located in the center of the resort. It can be reached by bus No. 1 (stop “Avtogara”):

  • A - Hotel Kuban.
  • B - Abtogara (bus station).

If you want to go to neighboring Burgas, Varna, Pomorie, Kosharitsa, start from the bus station.

Ticket prices are low:

  • to Burgas - 3 € (6 levs);
  • to Kosharitsa, Ravda, St. Vlas, Elenite (nearby villages) - from 1 to 2 € (2-4 leva) depending on the route;
  • in Sunny Beach - 0.7 € (1.3 leva).

You can view the bus schedule both at the bus stops and at the bus station.

If you come by car from Russia or another country, you must buy a vignette (pay road tax) for the duration of your stay in Bulgaria.

Price

In 2016, the amount of road tax for a passenger car was:

  • for 1 year - 49 € (97 leva),
  • for 1 month - 15 € (30 leva),
  • for 1 week - 7.5 € (15 leva).

You can buy a vignette at any gas station or border checkpoint. Follow the traffic rules and be sure to pay for parking; there are practically no free spaces either in Sunny Beach or in the central part of Burgas or Varna.

Vacation with children

I have already written that the conditions in the Sunny Beach resort are ideal for coming here with children again and again.

Noisy water parks, inflatable trampolines, pirate ships and even a special children's menu in most restaurants - what the Bulgarians haven't come up with to entertain the youngest tourists on this coast!

Mandatory program

I suggest going with your child to the following places.

Water parks

Action and Nessebar water parks are a must visit! Here is a real haven of play and games in the water!

Child Center at the Laguna Park Hotel costs only 10 € per hour, and your child will be cared for by professional animators, and parents will be able to relax and be in silence.

Trampolines

On the embankment near the Kuban Hotel there are several large inflatable trampolines, where children can jump to their heart's content and parents can escape from everyday problems. The cost of the attraction is 7.5 € (15 leva) for 20 minutes.

Pirates of the Caribbean

The pirate water park is made in the style of "Pirates" Caribbean Sea»!

You can get to it by any city bus (Stadium stop), from where you can see the large Kotva Hotel, next to which rises Pirates' ship. Although this water park is smaller in size than the giants Action and Nessebar, its style is thought out extremely carefully: fun slides, a fountain straight from the pool and even a separate nest in a tree for the privacy of real pirates!

Entrance to the water park will be only 3 € (12 leva).

Advertising brochures travel companies full of offers to go to exotic countries at the end of the world, but tourists are often looking for a relaxing beach holiday without the fuss and long flights. In this case, you should pay attention to the resorts of Bulgaria - for example, the well-known Sunny Beach. Find out how it earned its popularity and why it is attractive to vacationers.

Sunny Beach - first acquaintance with the Bulgarian resort

The Sunny Beach resort was built in 1958; it stretches for a long 7 km along the Black Sea coast in a calm, shallow bay with clear water. Every year it attracts a huge number of tourists, as it is ideal for both a relaxed summer holiday with children and a fun time for youth.

Did you know? From 1967 to 1993, the international music festival “Golden Orpheus” was held on Sunny Beach, where Alla Pugacheva, Sofia Rotaru, and Valery Leontyev performed with success.

Where is

Sunny Beach is located in the eastern part of the country between Varna and Burgas along the coastline. It is located away from major highways and railway. On the north side the area is reliably protected from cold winds mountain range Stara Planina.

Sunny Beach Map

How to get there

To get to the resort you will have to use transfer roads, since the nearest airports are in the cities of Varna (95 km) and Burgas (42 km), this must be taken into account when planning the route. As a rule, when traveling through travel agencies, transfer to the destination is already included in the price of the trip. If you go on vacation on your own, it is better to find out in advance how to make it more convenient and profitable.

The best option is a transfer from Burgas, since it is closer to other cities. You can also use transit through Varna, but the road will cost significantly more due to the longer route.

The easiest way to get to Burgas from Ukraine is by bus - regular flights depart from Kyiv, Lvov, Kharkov. You can also travel from Kyiv by train to Varna.

The easiest way to get from Moscow is by plane to Burgas airport with a direct flight without transfers.

Climate and weather

The area where the complex is located has a very mild Mediterranean climate. In the summer months there is no oppressive heat, thanks to the sea breeze, and the air temperature averages 26–27°C above zero, and the water warms up to 24°C.

The holiday season traditionally lasts from May to October.

Which beaches are best to visit?

The coast of Sunny Beach is one continuous sandy beach; in the southern part of the resort there are even sand dunes. The shore is flat, with a smooth bottom and shallow depth, which attracts many tourists with children who love to frolic in the shallow water.

At the height of the season, the beaches are filled with people, the water is not transparent due to the sand constantly rising from the bottom, but order and cleanliness are maintained everywhere. There are no traditional pies or souvenir vendors here, walking among vacationers under the scorching sun. You can refresh yourself or purchase the necessary accessories in the shops located along the beaches.

Each beach has paid and free zones: the paid zone is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, the rental of which must be paid; You can sit for free either behind the paid part, or directly in front of the water line, in front of the installed sun loungers.

Important! There is a rule on the beaches: you are not allowed to open your own beach umbrella in or in front of the paid area. If a vacationer plans to use his umbrella, this can only be done on the second line, behind the sun loungers.

There are areas that are completely owned by hotels located in the coastal zone - visiting rules may differ there.

One of the most popular places For relaxation, there is Cocoa Beach, which got its name from the large and famous nightclub of the same name, located nearby. The beach stretches for half a kilometer along the coast; The sand strip here is wider than in other places - about 150 meters. During the daytime, families with small children come here, and in the evening Cocoa Beach turns into a youth place with noisy parties, entertainment and high prices in cafes.

If you want to retire and visit deserted beach, it is better to go to the nearest seaside towns of Nessebar or Pomorie. You can get to Nessebar on foot or by boat, but to Pomorie you will have to take a bus and then walk a little to the beach.
