Most popular country at Russian tourists Thailand became the top choice for holidays abroad in January-May 2016, reported the Association of Tourist Operators of Russia (ATOR). The data was prepared based on information from foreign ministries of tourism.

Over the five months of this year, 501.8 thousand Russians vacationed in Thailand. Spain is in second place (269.3 thousand), Vietnam is in third (180.2 thousand).

It is noted that almost a third of Russians who traveled abroad vacationed in Thailand this year.

Cyprus and Türkiye remain popular destinations for Russians (4th and 5th place, respectively). The top ten also included Austria (6th place), Finland (7th), Israel (8th), Bulgaria (9th), South Korea (10th).

The top 10 most popular destinations among Russians in the first five months also included (in increasing order of tourist flow): South Korea (60.6 thousand people), Bulgaria (70 thousand), Israel (102.6 thousand), Finland (114.8 thousand), Austria (123.3 thousand), Turkey (138.2 thousand), Cyprus (171.8 thousand).

In addition to “closed” Egypt and Turkey, Israel showed a significant decline in tourist flow in January-May - by 24.5% compared to the same period in 2015.

Finland (23.8%), Mauritius (23.4%), Austria (21.3%), and Jamaica (20.4%) dropped by almost the same amount. The Russian tourist flow to Sri Lanka decreased by almost 14.6%, to Cambodia - by 13.7%, to Switzerland and Hong Kong - by 13.4%. Negative dynamics are also observed in Iceland (7.15%), Seychelles(7%), Maldives (1%). Cumulative flow - 1.732 million Russian holidaymakers. Almost a third of them traveled to Thailand.

Almost half of the countries in the overall rating managed to achieve a positive indicator of the dynamics of the Russian tourist flow. Bulgaria takes first place in this category. According to the results of five months of 2016, the Russian tourist flow to this country increased by 63.7%.

In second place is Cyprus with a growth rate of 52.6% compared to the same period last year. By a wide margin, Indonesia is in third place (an increase of 24.6%). Tourist flow to Vietnam, which has become one of the “alternative” destinations to Egypt, increased by 23%, and South Korea- by 21.8% compared to the first five months of 2015.

Among the countries with positive dynamics of the Russian tourist flow were also Japan (7.3%), Montenegro (5%), Serbia (2.8%), Singapore (1.3%).

Considering the closure of Egypt for tourists and its former popularity, in the period from January to May this direction showed the most significant decline in tourist flow - minus 98.2% compared to the same period last year, the association notes. Türkiye ranks second in terms of the number of “lost” vacationers from Russia. Tourist flow to Israel, according to official data from the country's Ministry of Tourism, decreased by 24.5%.

The data is based on information provided by foreign Ministries of Tourism. The analytical service notes that this is not yet complete statistical data on the main tourist destinations.

Let's try to objectively figure out which destinations to choose in summer and autumn for a long-awaited vacation and which hotels you can trust.

Cyprus

The island of Cyprus has become the most popular destination among Russians this season. Mild climate, simplified visa process, Mediterranean food, European culture - there are many reasons for this. Ancient Paphos, respectable Limassol or dynamic Ayia Napa, which is called the second Ibiza because of the incessant club movement - everyone will choose a destination according to their needs.

In Cyprus, on the one hand, everything is simple and clear, just like in Turkey - almost everyone will understand you, even if you communicate in Russian; on the other hand, Cyprus is Europe, with its lifestyle and high level of service, and hotels in Cyprus, as a rule, are far from the concept of the classic all-inclusive.

The most famous hotel in Cyprus is Four Seasons, located near the center of Limassol. A luxurious hotel with a huge territory belongs to a private owner. After a recent renovation, it began to look even more amazing. At the entrance, against the backdrop of the famous futuristic ball, which glows with neon lights at night, crowds of tourists take pictures.

Four Seasons Limassol is located right by the sea - the hotel's own sandy beach is the most well-groomed area with lawns, lawns and silent service. The green area with gardens, terraces and fancy swimming pools is home to many bars, restaurants and cafes where the city's elite come for lunch and dinner. Limassol's best spa, Shiseido, is also located here, under the roof of the Four Seasons.

The neighboring hotel is Mediterranean Beach 4* is one of the best options for choosing a holiday in Cyprus in terms of price and quality. For lovers of glamor, the Londa boutique hotel will suit you, where everything - from art rooms to the creative presentation of dishes from the chef - is purely aesthetics of the highest standard.

Türkiye

Whatever one may say, Türkiye was, is and will be the most popular destination among Russian tourists. Of course, Antalya or Kemer immediately come to mind for our compatriots, and every self-respecting tour operator will offer tourists thousands of options for Turkish hotels in these destinations. However, it is wrong to think that Türkiye is a country only for mass tourism. Some hotels in this direction will give even the most luxurious Dubai counterparts a head start. For example, the oldest, most beautiful and most atmospheric city in the world, according to most authoritative travel guides, is famous for its many luxury hotels. Thus, in May 2013, a hotel of the famous Shangri-La Bosphorus chain opened in Istanbul. As you can guess from the name, the hotel offers the best view of the Bosphorus in the city - the fantastically beautiful panorama has become the main subject of tourist souvenirs. Literally a stone's throw from the hotel is the Dolmabahce Palace, a few minutes' drive away is the elite Nisantasi district, where boutiques of prestigious brands are located, as well as best restaurants and city clubs. In addition to the impeccable location, Shangri-La Bosphorus has many other advantages. Considering its Asian origins, the hotel does not even try to appear European-style, reserved and primly arrogant. Here, undisguised luxury is felt in literally every detail - from high-quality service (the staff is ready to fulfill literally any desire of the guest) to the breathtaking chic interior and unimaginable table setting during dinner.

By the way, two of the most fashionable restaurants and the best bar in Istanbul are also located under the arches of the Shangri-La Bosphorus hotel - IST TOO with Asian and Mediterranean cuisine and the Cantonese Shang Palace are adjacent to the elegant Le Bar - the most brilliant crowd gathers in the local lounge. For those who like to swim, there is a huge indoor pool, and therefore the Shangri-La Bosphorus Hotel can be visited even in the hottest summer. After water procedures you can go to the first CHI spa in Europe.

For those who still prefer classic Turkey with its vital hospitality and an understanding of fun and comfort very close to our mentality, we advise you to choose hotels without fanaticism - for example, a good option may be famous hotel“Adam & Eve” in Belek - of all the districts of Antalya, this one is famous for its spacious white sandy beaches, picturesque eucalyptus and pine forests and unique fauna. The Royal Adam & Eve Hotel offers the idea of affordable luxury - on 100,000 square meters there are several snow-white villas and a main 6-story building, designed in a futuristic spirit - at nightfall the hotel lights up with multi-colored lights.

Royal Adam & Eve is ideal for relaxation big company- a rich daytime program and parties until the morning with sets from specially invited stars of the world club scene - Belek makes such a holiday favorite place youth. The signature feature of the hotel is the luminous bar counter, 96 meters long. The design of the spacious rooms matches the external surroundings - minimalism, an abundance of glass, mirrors and plastic, multi-colored lighting.

UAE

In the summer, in Dubai, as in all the United Arab Emirates, only extreme sports enthusiasts relax - the thermometer here is often at 50+. At the same time, at all other times of the year it is hardly possible to imagine a more comfortable holiday. Dubai is loved by those who are accustomed to comfort and appreciate the benefits of civilization - the tallest buildings in the world, the most luxurious clubs and restaurants, the most expensive cars and yachts - these are the signs of life in an emirate popular among tourists. At the same time, choosing a hotel is complicated by the fact that when requesting “ best hotels Dubai" there is a huge list of options, and almost all of them are of a really high level. Here is the famous “Sail” (Burj Al Arab), about which there are legends, and huge skyscrapers in the financial center, and a real palace Atlantis The Palm is the first and only entertainment resort of its kind in the United Arab Emirates, located in the heart of the legendary Palm Island. The resort opened in September 2008 and remains a unique project and more than just a hotel. Atlantis is a huge center with parks, shopping areas, the famous fitness club with advanced Technogym equipment and Dubai's most famous water park, Aquaventure. Moreover, it is also suitable for honeymoon, and for family vacation, and for parties, the resort offers entertainment in all directions - one of the best in the city is located here night club, and first-class restaurants (Nobu, Ronda Locatelli and Rostang), and fantastic spa clubs, and the famous Atlantis Kids Club, which will become a paradise for every child.

Unless you want it yourself, you won’t have to leave the resort, especially if you become a happy guest of one of the signature suites - the underwater Poseidon and Neptune, the walls of the bedrooms and bathrooms overlooking the lagoon, or the huge Royal Bridge Suite, which occupies a record 924 square meters and connecting the east and west towers of the resort. Besides Arab sheikhs this abode of luxury was chosen by stars of the first magnitude. A special fan of the hotel is Kim Kardashian, who, of course, only stays in the most luxurious hotel room.

Another legend of Dubai is the One&Only chain hotels. This brand is first and foremost when it comes to exclusive experiences and the ability to treat the most privileged guests. Here the likelihood of meeting a world-class star is higher than anywhere else - celebrities know a lot about the best treatment in the world and the cosmic level of comfort. There are two hotels of the legendary chain in Dubai - One&Only Royal Mirage, which is located overlooking Palm Island Bay and Persian Gulf, and One&Only The Palm, which, as the name suggests, is located on the famous man-made island of Palm Jumeirah. Water taxis run between the hotels - so, guests of the hotel on Palma can go to dinner at one of the 13 Mirage restaurants. However, the signature feature of the hotel at One&Only The Palm is the restaurant of Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alleno, one of the luminaries of the culinary world.

As for One&Only Royal Mirage, this hotel is called a true song of the Arab tradition of living well, but in the most elegant European sound. The Arabian palace is surrounded by the greenery of fantastic gardens, own beaches and golf courses. The huge territory resembles real city and is divided into three sectors: the palace, the Arab courtyard, and the ESPA residences/spa. Despite the fact that the One&Only Royal Mirage hotel is proudly spread over a vast territory, it is not located outside the city limits - from here you can reach the Emirates Golf Club in 10 minutes and the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the very tall building in the world and the main attraction of Dubai. The rooms here are also sophisticated - in addition to luxurious bedrooms, bathrooms and balconies overlooking the garden, there are even private patios.

Another world-famous hotel chain, the Ritz-Carlton is luxury at its best. Experienced travelers say: “You don’t know which hotel to choose in exotic country? The best and safe option- "Ritz". These hotels keep their brand always and everywhere!” In a word, “Ritz” – and in Africa “Ritz”. Of course, the Dubai Ritz-Carlton is a special story. In contrast to the soulless futuristic buildings made of concrete and glass, The Ritz-Carlton Dubai seems to be an oasis of beauty and spiritual luxury - local low-rise buildings in the Mediterranean style against the backdrop of huge skyscrapers attract newlyweds and lovers under their arches - here the best place for wedding ceremonies and honeymoons. The most romantic hotel United Arab Emirates against the backdrop of skyscrapers it seems small and cozy, although this is only an illusion - a spacious terrace with white tents has become the setting for hundreds of beautiful weddings. The hotel is also appreciated for the fact that it ingeniously adapts any cuisine of the world for guests - be it Mediterranean cuisine, Arabic or Asian. The hotel's special highlight is the La Baie lounge overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

Montenegro

Previously, holidays in Montenegro were considered quite democratic and unpretentious, but today it is a prestigious destination, where yachts moor, music thunders and pretentious clubs open. At the same time, in Montenegro it is quite possible to find both adventure and solitude - the pristine beauty of nature, the purest Adriatic Sea and the special European flavor create conditions for escape, including from reality. The most popular holiday destinations in Montenegro are Dobro Voda, Becici, Budva, Petrovac, Tivat and Kotor. The Old Town area has survived to this day in almost medieval form, and in Budva it is more compact than, say, in Kotor. Stone buildings historical center Budva overlooks the marina with yachts - and if you wish, if you are not afraid of the noise and influx of tourists, you can find apartments right in the Old Town.

When going to Montenegro, most tourists book apartments - it is this format of vacation that allows you to immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of this amazing country. In addition, in addition to renting, many of our compatriots choose Montenegro to buy housing - a high standard of living and relatively low prices make staying here very comfortable. From the simplest and most affordable room options in coastal areas to luxury buildings like the Dukley Gardens luxury residence complex, there are options for every taste.

Holidays abroad have always been considered the most expensive pleasure. But recently, tourists can go on vacation abroad freely and the cost of such a vacation will be quite acceptable. Let's look at the most cheap holiday abroad 2018.

In this article we will try to provide you with a description of the most popular destinations among Russian tourists. Also, many may be interested in reading the information from the article: where to holiday abroad without a visa in 2018.

Most Popular Countries

In Turkey any Russian feels at home and therefore many residents of our country prefer to holiday in this country. Türkiye is mainly beach holiday with children on the Black Sea or the Mediterranean. You can also do inexpensive shopping here and naturally visit various attractions. We also must not forget about entertainment, of which there is simply a huge amount in Turkey, and therefore every day tourists will find a lot of nightclubs, discos, restaurants and bars.

Prices for holidays here vary depending on the time of year, season and part of the country. So, for example, a tour to Antalya will cost about 200 dollars, to Istanbul - about 350 dollars, and to Kemer - 250 dollars. On average, a two-week tour for two can be purchased for $1000–1500, and if you are lucky enough to buy a last-minute tour or go to Turkey in the fall, you can save up to 50% of their cost. Russian tourists prefer Turkey for a complete holiday with an all-inclusive system, excellent climate, clean sea and numerous excursions.

Unfortunately today, Türkiye is closed to travel companies and many are tormented by the question of when Turkey will open. But you can go on vacation on your own.

Holidays in Egypt at sea is the most traditional among Russian residents, since this destination has long been “travelled” by Russian tourists. Here you can enjoy excellent service in hotels, warm climates, a huge amount entertainment for only $250 for 7-8 days of great relaxation.

Warm Red Sea, gentle sun, All inclusive and, of course, the ancient pyramids- this is what numerous tourists come to this beautiful country for every year with its ancient history and unique cultural and architectural monuments: the Pyramids, the eternal Sphinx and Luxor, which tourists visit, all this is worth going to this country on vacation. But this direction is closed, although there is information that flights will soon resume.

And, of course, the logical question will be: what is better, Turkey or Egypt in terms of service, comfort, food?

Thailand no less popular than Türkiye or Egypt, but in this country high season begins in mid-autumn and ends in early winter. Therefore, if you want to purchase the most cheap tour, then it is best to count on the month of April or May.

A package for a ten-day vacation will cost about $700–800. The cheapest seaside holiday in 2018 will indeed be in Thailand, since in almost any region of the country you can have a great holiday for $15–25 per day. If you decide to go on your own, then on average you will need about $400 per month for accommodation, subject to hotel accommodation in center of Pattaya. But you can find a vacation cheaper. On the island of Phuket, Chang, Samui, Phi Phi you can find a hotel room for $150–200 per month. And if one room is enough for you, then you can rent it for 80–90 dollars.

Thailand has very cheap products, so you only need $100 a month for food. For 2 dollars you can have a great lunch in any cafe, and 6 dollars is enough for dinner in good restaurant. And if you want to fill your suitcase with inexpensive things, then 100 dollars will be enough for you, without even haggling.

The cheapest holiday at sea

Vietnam– this is an incredibly beautiful place where you can find many corners of nature untouched by man. And even despite the growing popularity of this country, holidays in it remain still quite acceptable. So, for example, 10 dollars a day is enough for one person to stay in a hotel, food, excursion programs and massage. And if you are willing to spend $20 a day, you won’t be able to deny yourself anything. Therefore, 400–500 dollars for an excellent 30-day vacation will be quite enough. But this does not include the flight, since plane tickets are not included in this price (a direct flight will cost a little more than with transfers).

Read a useful informative article about comparing countries: What to choose - Thailand or Vietnam, Sri Lanka for quality inexpensive holidays, excursions and entertainment?

Goa (India) is another popular tourist destination, since with 100 dollars in your pocket (6000 rupees) you can have a great rest and not deny yourself anything, especially if we're talking about about North Goa.

The cost of a holiday in Goa for a European person is quite low, especially far from big cities and metropolises. The most expensive holiday in Goa is in winter, since the high season begins at this time, but if you buy a ticket in the off-season, then a tour with air travel when prices drop starts from $400. But if you decide to go on your own and stay in an inexpensive guesthouse, as many young people do, you can save about 20-30% of your money. Goa is very popular among Russians due to its favorable tropical climate and recreation at almost any time of the year.

Abkhazia is located next to Russia and therefore many prefer to go to this country on vacation, since for many it will be the most a budget option have a great time on the Black Sea. I would also like to note that Russians do not need visas or foreign passports to go on vacation to Abkhazia and the journey will take a little time.

If you do not have a large amount of money, you can choose a vacation in the private sector, where prices are budget housing do not exceed 300–350 rubles per day per person. If you want more comfortable apartments in the private sector, you will have to shell out a larger amount - about 500 rubles. Meals per day in Abkhazia will also cost you from 500 rubles per day. Thus, it can be calculated that a seven-day holiday in this country without travel will cost about 5,600 to 10,000 rubles per person.

Holidays in boarding houses and hotels in 2018 will cost much more. For example Double Room in a boarding house or sanatorium will cost from 1,600 to 8,000 rubles per day. Thus, if you are counting on an inexpensive holiday in Abkhazia, then you will need an amount of 22,000 rubles for two. For 30,000 rubles for two you can also see all the sights of this beautiful country.

Many Russians, we are sure, will be curious about the answer to the following question: Where is it better to relax - in Sochi, Crimea or Abkhazia?

But the cheapest holiday abroad at sea awaits you in Bali and Cambodia. These countries offer the cheapest accommodation and food for tourists. In Bali you can find excellent accommodation for $100 a month and the same amount will cover food for 30 days. The only downside is that the flight is very expensive - about $1000!

Cambodia and Bali are not very famous countries for tourist recreation, and therefore the logical question would be: Where are Bali and Cambodia?

And in Cambodia you can find a room for $1.50 a night, and when you buy delicious and cheap food, you will feel guilty for paying people so little. A visit to one of the world's most famous monuments of the kingdom of Cambodia - Angkor Wat will cost you only 5 dollars.

Exquisite holiday

Sri Lanka or Ceylon island has recently begun to enjoy great popularity among Russian tourists, as many want to relax in exotic places, where beautiful nature reigns and there are many secluded beautiful places and unique cultural and historical attractions.

And it is in Sri Lanka that you can have a wonderful holiday in an inexpensive beach hotel for 10-15 dollars a day. And here you can do the most various types sports: diving, surfing, fishing, kiting, rafting, etc. But plane tickets here are not cheap, so it’s best to purchase tickets for charter flights or for flights with transfers. Thus, for a month's vacation you will need about 400–500 dollars.

Greece- this is the country of the ancient gods, the Aegean and Mediterranean Sea, as well as beautiful scenic spots, where you can relax with children at the most reasonable prices. Halkidiki is a pearl Aegean Sea, Crete is the island of the legendary Minotaur, Athens is the capital of the country, Rhodes, Peloponnese, Attica, Paros, Corfu and many other islands and resorts of Greece attract many tourists from Russia. And all of them are perfect for a family holiday. On average, a holiday in Greece will cost you $250–350 for 7 days. Currently, this country is one of the cheapest countries that require a Schengen visa for those who want to fully enjoy the beach and excursion holidays on the sea.

Cyprus It cannot be called very cheap for a holiday, but it is very popular among Russians. A ticket to Cyprus from Moscow will cost about $200 per person, but if you get a promotion from an airline, you can save from 30 to 50%. But living on the island is quite expensive. The cheapest room in Paphos will cost $30–35, but you can rent a room for $25–28 per night. Food in cafes and restaurants is also not cheap, so it is best to buy food in supermarkets, where various promotions and discounts are available.

If you are choosing where to vacation, between the last two countries, we recommend reading the differences between them: What is better to choose - Greece or Cyprus, for example, for a beach holiday?

Europe is a holiday destination

Portugal is a member of the Eurozone and therefore cannot boast of the same low prices like Asian countries. But the holiday here is completely different. You need to go to this beautiful country, which is located in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, just to enjoy the taste of excellent seafood, Portuguese cherry liqueur - ginjinha, port wine, and also to visit all the architectural monuments of the Iberian culture of the country, one of which is the famous Belem Tower - fort on the Tijo River in the region of the same name in Lisbon.

Accommodation in Portugal in an inexpensive hostel in the province will cost from 18 to 33 dollars per day. Room in three star hotel will cost from 30 to 80 dollars per day. And accommodation in a boarding house in Lisbon ranges from 13 to 28 dollars. Lunch in an inexpensive cafe will cost from 6.5 to 13.5 dollars, and one dish in an expensive restaurant will cost from 6 to 24 dollars. You'll need about $50 per person per day, so the total cost of the trip will range from $600 to $1,000.

Therefore, we recommend looking for hotels not through Booking, but through hotel search engine Hotellook— it compares prices for the same hotels in different booking systems and gives you the best price options. In addition, Hotellook, unlike Booking, gives you the opportunity to sort hotels operating on the All Inclusive system. When you select a hotel, Hotellook will transfer you to the booking system website (Booking.com, Agoda.com, Ostrovok.ru, etc.), where the booking takes place.
