How to arrange a recreation area at the dacha. Recreation area at the dacha. Privacy zone

The proverb “there is time for work, but there is an hour for fun” once had the opposite meaning: “for work there is time, and there is an hour for fun,” that is, work is work, but one must not forget about rest, even in the midst of work in the garden and in the garden. We have repeatedly told how to arrange recreation areas with a fireplace for a cauldron or a Pompeian stove, with a gazebo from your wildest dreams, expressing the individuality and spiritual passions of the owner. And if the size of the plot does not allow you to equip large gazebos and create complex stove complexes, you can make a “quick”, actually mobile recreation area for a summer house or private house.

Canopy and mobile walls

As often happens, a relaxation area in the dacha of the user FORUMHOUSE Denisov appeared naturally. At first, in this place next to the house (5x4m in size) there was an inherited bathtub, covered with a door - it was a table. Then a tent appeared above the table, which stood right on the ground, then the floor was made, then the rest area began to look like in the photographs below. Furniture and a cauldron with a stove were constantly rearranged from place to place in search of the perfect one.

The tent’s awning lasted three seasons, and it turned out that “pilaf with rainwater is not a tasty dish.” The need for a stationary canopy arose in full force, and the recreation area had to remain open, but if necessary, protect from possible precipitation. Denisov came up with the idea to build such a cool thing for his project: a side coupe. The sliding wall is made of a polycarbonate sheet that moves along guides. Usually it is located near the wall of the house, and when the need arises, it moves and closes the canopy.

Since the recreation area is located close to the house, then main problem was to protect the canopy from possible snow falling off the roof. For this purpose, it was decided to make snow retainers like these.

When the plot is small, the recreation area is often located close to the house. This way, the available space is used more intelligently and economically, and there are more opportunities to create both an inaccessible and summer-like open space with a pergola roof, or even without a roof at all. The main thing is that the barbecue or stove does not stand too close to the house, and the walls do not get dirty with smoke and soot.

Recreation area on the site: planning

You can set up a recreation area on any, even the tiniest garden plot. True, when planning it, one must take into account the cardinal directions and prevailing winds.

To equip perfect place relaxing in the garden, you need to remember that it should be located with its “back” to the prevailing winds.

This “back,” if possible, should be a blank wall. And since gatherings usually take place in the evenings, you need to think about how to prevent the setting sun from the west from blinding your eyes. And so - even a nook between the house and the garage can be turned into a place for relaxation, quiet evening gatherings and brunches on the weekend. Our design assistants are here: lattice pergolas, vertical flower beds, potted plants, mobile garden furniture, portable mini-barbecues, awnings instead of a stationary roof. Instead of sun loungers and benches, you can use frameless options garden furniture: on bean bags you can sunbathe by the pool during the day, and sit in them by the fire in the evening.

They are stuffed with foamed polystyrene, which is sold in hardware stores. The main thing is that for garden life such a chair should have two covers, the top one made of fabric with water-repellent impregnation.

Buying standard garden furniture is not the most approved approach to landscaping on our portal: “Everything is kind of faceless, and the prices are not encouraging.” Ordering something unique, or even better, creating this unique thing with your own hands, or, as a last resort, repeating the idea of a well-known manufacturer on a budget - this is FORUMHOUSE-style.

Irrena User FORUMHOUSE

If you take a tree in your hands and your soul sings, then who cares what they sell in megamarkets.

You shouldn't ignore sales, especially when we're talking about about a recreation area on a small plot.

So, skissa At a sale, she bought an extendable garden table with a hole for an umbrella made of eucalyptus (3,000 rubles) and a eucalyptus table and two chairs for 2,000. She believes that even if she had made this furniture from pine with her own hands, it would have cost more.

skissa User FORUMHOUSE

It makes sense to order furniture when you need one hundred percent exclusive, something very unusual, and, accordingly, very expensive.

But this simple set of tables and benches, now sold on every corner, is simply a sin to buy - according to the calculations of the portal’s participants, buying boards, screws, impregnation and protective composition is much cheaper.

Yacht varnish – no the best option for outdoor products, it is better to treat them in 2-3 layers with a protective composition like “pinotex, biotex” and the like.

It’s a pity to put such beauty on damp ground, so my son decided to build a “bed”: four columns of logs, a frame of four bars, and a flooring on top. Painted it with floor paint. It turned out well.

Then it doesn’t want it to rain, so it will roll downhill into construction.

Here's how to take this store-bought table idea further:

Fyi I made it from the material left over from the construction of the gazebo, made it more massive and aged it.

legolas16 developed the idea by adding a wooden canopy-roof to the table with benches.

Store-bought or home-made furniture for small area rest on the site should be, according to a survey conducted on our portal, comfortable, easy to carry, resistant to rot, durable, strong, easy to clean, “and no curls for ease of repainting.” The design is like this chair.

How to arrange a relaxation area with furniture

After construction at a FORUMHOUSE member Snegoff What remained were pallets conditionally suitable for the production of furniture, from which two armchairs and a double sofa were made - perfect place relaxation at the dacha.

Snegoff User FORUMHOUSE

The pallet was cut in half along the boards into the base and back. For the chairs, another third was sawn across. I cleaned the blanks with a brush to remove dirt, rot and flash. I assembled everything with screws, using an inch board for strapping. The finished chairs and sofa are covered with biotex in two layers.

None of the family members expected that the result would inspire further investment in this project to improve the quality of suburban life. But furniture foam rubber (60 mm) and fabric for covers were purchased. The most expensive item in pillows with removable zippered covers was foam rubber.

Relaxation areas in the garden

The photographs with furniture made from pallets show that the site is paved with old brick, which was also left over from the construction site. This coating will not serve for a very long time, but in the future the site will still be planned and remodeled, but for now “At least they decided to spend the season like decent people.” The turf was removed from the future recreation area at the dacha, since the area has a slope, the area was leveled and a leveling layer of sand was made. The first rows of bricks were laid along the cord. The wide seams are explained by the depressing geometry of the brick: it simply would not fit end-to-end. The seams were covered with gartzovka (a mixture of lime and sand) left over from the finishing work. .

Crazy posted it on my summer cottage “red square made of clay bricks and quartzite paving stones».

Crazy User FORUMHOUSE

The scheme is standard: we dig a hole along the contour, down the film, 30 cm of sand and compact it. Then the curb is covered with cement, and the inside is paved with bricks.

As a result, thanks to this design, a small recreation area on the red platform under an airy canopy under pine trees, on which only a tea table can fit, will create exactly the “relaxing”, serene mood needed after working in the garden.

U nency the area for the table, benches and barbecue (6x3 m) is made from waste logs. The logs for its arrangement were sawn into segments 25 centimeters high. The saw cuts, treated to protect against rotting with used mineral machine oil, were placed on a sand bed and compacted with sand and water. The project was completed in six days practically “with one hand.” A small pit was dug with a small excavator. At the initial stage, this idea caused bewilderment, irony and laughter among everyone, including workers and neighbors. Now everyone liked the site. When lawn grass is planted between the round logs, it will be even better. There are options to fill the gaps with small crushed stone or screenings.

nency User FORUMHOUSE

I don’t claim credit for my creation, but tiles, etc. I'm tired of it in Moscow. Moreover, the plot is forested; urbanizing a piece of forest is also not the best option.

If the construction of something more or less stationary in a recreation area at a summer cottage absolutely seems like a waste of time and money, you can get by with a natural grass covering. The only thing is that the grass should be as resistant to trampling as possible: meadow bluegrass, meadow fescue, etc. are suitable. In the recreation area, the lawn is mowed every two weeks, or even more often.

Another option for a small area is to line it with turf. With regular watering, the grass will take root fairly quickly.

FORUMHOUSE users have long been using FORUMHOUSE as a covering for recreational areas. In addition to strength, the advantage of this material is that it can not be firmly fixed, but removed for the winter or if necessary.

Mobile grill

If the recreation area on a private plot does not have a stationary fireplace, there are many ways out of this situation, especially since a mobile grill on the edge of the garden can bring no less joy than a luxurious stove.

lme1979 I made a grill from a gas cylinder.

lme1979 User FORUMHOUSE

You cut it in half lengthwise with a grinder, weld the four supports, and the grill is ready. And it just fits into the trunk of the car.

Here's how you can improve such a grill (done Pilligrimxxl):

Uncle Vova I made a round country grill with a diameter of 0.5 meters. It turned out “unexpectedly cool, to the surprise of the neighbors.” And just sit by the fire, bake meat and vegetables on the grill, and put a cauldron or frying pan.

Or here good idea- tandoor made from flower pots. Invented and brought to life sandrovich. How to make it is clear from the photo.

Every home owner eventually thinks about how to improve a comfortable recreation area on their site. What could it be more beautiful than relaxation, or eating food outdoors, and even more so, in your own, comfortably equipped territory?! Of course, if the area near the house is very small, you can organize flower beds or flower beds on it, install a barbecue or the same outdoor version of the fireplace. Well, if you have a lot of space, what’s the point of limiting and infringing on yourself in something?! Indeed, in this case, the recreation area of the courtyard of a private house can be equipped with everything necessary for maximum convenience and comfort.

Here you can view a selection of photos of a recreation area in the yard with a non-trivial approach to the most ordinary elements of your landscape, designs of industrial motifs, original and unusual combinations of materials, as well as many green spaces, which together allow you to create a comfortable stay in your own yard. We will tell you about this option for arranging a recreation area in more detail.

One of the options... how to design a recreation area in the yard

You can equip a platform made of wood, which you will access from the back door of the house. And in its lowlands, organize a soft zone equipped with a canopy that protects you from the sun on hot, hot days, as well as from rain in bad weather. The entire hanging area can be decorated with soft sofas, in which the backs and seats can be removed. This type of furniture is quite practical, since it will still be in outdoor conditions, which means it will get dirty much faster than household items.

On one side, the recreation area can be surrounded by a fairly high brick fence. The arc part of the fence is constructed of concrete slabs, which hide the chimney of a fireplace installed on the street, and also serve as a backdrop for images from the projector. Having such vertical planes on your site, the main structure of your canopy will rest on it. In turn, the structure is made of metal and wood materials covered with polycarbonate.

High walls and fences allow you to create shade on hot summer days. But, despite this, lighting is still required in the recreation area.

The lighting can be designed in a wide variety of modifications. For example, you can attach large spotlights to the beams, and organize local lighting from the “18 Watt” wholesale store in the fireplace area.

The spotlights, which you attach to metal channels, can be turned completely in different directions. This way you will create a unique atmosphere!

Arrange switches at the entrance to the recreation area. There should be an outlet near them if it is necessary to connect any electrical devices.

Using a projector aimed at a concrete wall, you can arrange gatherings as if in a home theater, only in the fresh air! It will be comfortable here for a large family and big company friends.

The table can be organized by placing 3 construction pallets. And to soften the industrialism, plant flowers and plants near the brick fence, this will “soften” the situation and bring a feeling of unprecedented “naturalness”.

You can arrange lighting under the wooden platform so that you can move around the area calmly and safely at night.

Use different plants for plantings, which will have different heights, seasonality and many or year-round flowering. In combination with an embankment of stones, the landscape design of your site will be cozy and harmonious.

A dacha is not only garden beds with vegetables, but also outdoor recreation. Where else if not here can you relax after a week of work, spend time with your family outside the bustle of the city, and organize a picnic with friends. To make your leisure time as comfortable as possible, the recreation area needs to be properly arranged - choose appropriate place, think over the design, choose the design. There are a lot of interesting ideas on how to make an open area in your country house. The main thing is to be patient and inspired.

Options for placing recreation areas

Depending on the preferences, number and age of family members, the “relaxation corner” can be located:

  • in a completely open space;
  • under a canopy;
  • at the walls of the house;
  • near a tree;
  • near a pond.

For quiet family gatherings and meals, and daytime walks with children, the area near the back wall of the house is best suited. If there is a spare door there, this will be an additional bonus - it will be possible to quickly take out and bring in dishes, food, toys, and pieces of furniture. It is advisable to move the area for noisy parties with friends away from the house so as not to disturb other family members late in the evening.

Comfortable and stylish area with fireplace

The ideal place for a romantic tête-à-tête will be a secluded cozy corner under a beautiful tree. It is advisable to arrange an open area at the dacha of an elderly couple at the main entrance.

As for the “scale” of the recreation area, there are no restrictions on this issue. You can either modestly improve a small area of the territory or create a multi-level area with a fountain, pergola, swings and other “scenery”.

Relaxation area for a large company

The main types of open areas for a personal plot

What kind of postcard is the site for the dacha or country house choose depends on the lifestyle of the owners and their preferences regarding recreation.

Beach type recreation area

If you plan to actively sunbathe on your property, a beach-style area can be built right in the middle of the lawn. It is better to choose a place for a relaxation zone with back side at home - away from possible street noise and omnipresent prying eyes. It is advisable to design the base of the site as a podium to avoid rainwater stagnating on it. It is recommended to choose terrace boards or stone as flooring.

To “furnish” a country mini-beach, sun loungers, mobile sun umbrellas, a small table, and benches are used. A swimming pool, fountain or artificial pond will perfectly complement the summer atmosphere.

Area for active leisure

For fans active rest You will probably like the idea of arranging an outdoor sports ground. The flattest part of your property should be allocated for it, away from windows and flower beds. Since the selected area will be subject to active trampling, it must be sown with special “wear-resistant” grass mixtures or a sports roll-up lawn must be laid.

The size of the sports ground is determined by the type of activity:

  • for basketball you will need about 50 sq. m;
  • for tennis or football - at least 60 sq. m;
  • for mini-volleyball – 40 sq. m;
  • outdoor exercise equipment or horizontal bars can be freely laid out over 30 square meters. m.

Using mobile sports equipment and installing it immediately before the game, you can make your active leisure diverse.

Cozy room under a tree

The easiest way to create a cozy corner for relaxing in the fresh air is to organize a space under a large spreading tree. It is advisable to make the base of such an open area as close as possible to natural motifs. An excellent solution would be to pave it with wooden saw cuts.

The choice of furniture for a resting place depends on its purpose: if it is possible to receive guests here, a table and comfortable chairs are required. For a sweet afternoon nap, a hammock will come in handy. It will be comfortable to read books or work on a laptop on a cozy bench with a couple of pillows.

The tree trunk bench is ideal for relaxing in the summer heat

Observation deck on site

If your country house has a fairly powerful tree, a recreation area can be arranged not only under it, but also on it. Even a relatively young tree will be suitable if the structure is supported by piles and not the trunk itself. How to make an open observation deck at your dacha:

  1. Mark the position of the corner posts.
  2. Saw off the posts taking into account the desired height of the structure and concrete them.
  3. Connect the railings to the posts (top trim).
  4. Make a horizontal tie at the level of the future floor.
  5. Attach the logs to the bottom trim.
  6. Install the floor and walls. You can use chipboard for exterior work.

A platform on a tree will look original if you stylize it as a fortress tower or the deck of a ship.

Patio area and its features

Patio – room under open air– an ideal place for organizing family holidays, receiving guests, or relaxing with your favorite book in the warm season. Traditionally, such a platform is located at the back wall of the house if the walls of outbuildings or a fence are adjacent to it in a U- or L-shape.

But this is optional. You can set up a patio anywhere convenient place, the main thing is to adhere to the main idea - to create an atmosphere of maximum security. Trees, shrubs, flower beds, hedges, etc. will help with this. The patio is characterized by an abundance of decorative elements:

  • fountains;
  • mini waterfalls;
  • alpine slides;
  • statues.

An abundance of greenery and flowers always decorates the patio

The design of such a site is chosen in accordance with the capabilities of the territory and the preferences of family members. Spacious country patios are equipped with all the necessary attributes of a pleasant feast:

  • large table;
  • comfortable chairs;
  • canopy;
  • fireplace;
  • barbecue

An excellent solution would be to install a pool in the patio area. In combination with a lush green and floral design, you will get a real paradise.

Creating a recreation area with your own hands

An open area in a dacha should not only be beautiful, but also practical. We must not lose sight of the importance of technical issues, in particular, the correct choice of paving materials.

Which base material to choose

It is better to avoid bulk materials (sand, expanded clay, gravel). They complicate cleaning the area and make lightweight portable furniture unstable. Best suited for paving a recreation area:

  • a natural stone;
  • paving slabs;
  • porcelain stoneware;
  • clinker brick;
  • concrete plates.

Wooden flooring is also very popular. But remember: wood must be treated with antiseptic agents.

The wooden base of the platform looks great

The area of the territory selected for the open area is cleared of turf, going deeper by 15-20 cm. The surface is leveled, compacted and treated with a herbicide that prevents the germination of weeds. The area is filled with a layer of crushed stone and sand. Then the selected base material is laid and (if necessary) the curb is installed.

Drainage of water from the territory

To prevent water from stagnating on the site, the base should be made with a slope in one or two directions. If the paving is made of uneven and/or small elements, the slope should be at least 2 cm per 1 m. For smooth coatings, 1 cm per 1 m is sufficient.

The drainage itself can be made open along the edges of the site or underground. In both cases, it is necessary to provide for the drainage of water into a drainage well. Elements of open drainage should be selected in accordance with the overall style of the recreation area.

Arrangement and decoration of space

To make an outdoor area for leisure as comfortable as possible, it needs to be properly and beautifully furnished. The furniture should be comfortable; if you like gatherings in a large circle, it is very important to calculate a sufficient number seats. An excellent choice would be a wooden or glass table with garden chairs and sofas. You can also purchase several rocking chairs, chaise lounges, and a decorative bench.

Open area in minimalist style

Arched canopies, richly entwined with flowers and greenery, will add special charm and airiness to the open-air area. A fireplace or barbecue will make the relaxation area truly warm and “complete.” Adding a special chic and flavor to the courtyard will be done by decorating it in a certain style - romantic, fairy-tale, classic, national, exotic. Figurines, vases, souvenirs, and textile decorations will help with this.

Children's leisure at the dacha

When arranging a recreation area, do not forget about children. A small play space will keep them from getting bored during family gatherings. You should definitely provide a swing. The location for its installation should be selected taking into account the swing amplitude. The simplest option is a rope swing attached to a strong tree branch.

You can also install a sandbox. A huge selection of models will allow you to successfully fit the product into the overall design of the recreation area. Plastic sandboxes are the most convenient - they are safe, durable, and easy to clean. Light weight and modular design allows you to put them away in the shed at any time.

A swing in the garden is a joy for children and adults

Stylish and fast platform made from pallets: master class

Excellent open area you can make it yourself from Euro pallets - a simple and cheap material that has wide design potential. To create a recreation area you will need:

  • about 50 pallets (sizes 100x120 cm and 80x120 cm);
  • angle grinder;
  • sandpaper;
  • dye;
  • roller

Sand all Euro pallets with a sander and sandpaper. Using a roller, paint them in the desired color (it is better to choose light shades). It is advisable to use garden fleece as a base for the site: this material will not allow rainwater to accumulate. When the pallets are dry, cover the floor with them.

Laying painted pallets on the base

Then install and reinforce the trays for the side walls and back. Create the right size seating and table. To create coziness on the site, decorate it with bright accessories and place colorful pillows on the “improvised sofa”. A special atmosphere will be created by garlands, candles in original candlesticks, and lanterns.

Appearance of the finished site

As you can see, a cozy relaxation corner in its own country house or at the dacha you can arrange even with a minimum of waste. You just need to turn on your imagination and not be afraid of bold ideas. After all, a “piece of paradise”, created with trepidation by one’s own hands, will certainly become favorite place leisure for the whole family!

Why do people move to the countryside and buy dachas? For a variety of reasons, of course, including practical and material ones. But the main idea is still to be closer to nature. The long-awaited summer season has already begun; a lot of work awaits us in the garden. With this material we want to remind you and ourselves that in order for work to be a joy, you must remember to rest. What could it be better than rest in the fresh air? Only relax in specially equipped corners of your own garden.

Content:

It is advisable to have several places to rest on the site. And in order to sit down for a minute with a cup of coffee between weedings, and to read alone, and for tea with a neighbor, and for gatherings in a large company...

To create such places for relaxation, many people buy ready-made “structures,” but this is not at all necessary. From scrap materials and old furniture you can make something completely unique and inimitable. The main thing is that you feel comfortable and comfortable while relaxing there.

There are several secrets that will help make your garden seating area truly cozy.

Add textiles

These can be decorative pillows, canopies, tablecloths and even rugs. If you plan to be outside in windy weather or in the evening, add more blankets.

Weather protection

If possible, choose a closed place where you will not be afraid of the wind. Use shady trees and add a canopy for sun and rain. In general, arrange your relaxation corner so that it is comfortable to be in, even if the hot sun shines or the summer rain drizzles.

More flowers and greenery

Make the most of the garden's beauty and choose sitting areas where you have a large fruit tree, colorful flowers and other garden plants you love. But you don’t have to stop there: place a beautiful cut bouquet on the table, add flowers in pots and containers, etc.

Decor

Just because we're outside doesn't mean we have to neglect beautiful things. These could be paintings, interesting vases, dishes and the like. Of course, such things should only be of subjective value (interesting only to you), especially if we are talking about a dacha.
