Wild beaches of Bulgaria. White sand beaches in Bulgaria. The best beaches, reviews, photos. Are the beaches cleaned in Bulgaria? How often

Alina Pashinskaya

Bulgaria is famous for its various resorts. There are in the country like long promoted, so very young, but small picturesque villages are rapidly conquering their potential tourists. They also go to Bulgaria improve your health, relax both soul and body. The country's seaside resorts attract not only young, but also more mature holidaymakers who remember the hospitable, brotherly Bulgaria.

Nessebar is the oldest city in Europe

In the New part of Pomorie there is the monastery of St. George. We managed to visit not only the territory of the temple, but also its museum, which is located right there, completely free of charge (we still left a donation for the temple, but voluntarily!).

All sorts of festivals for tourists and city residents are often held on the territory of this cinema.

The large and expensive hotel complex is striking in its size (the photo shows only 1/20 of its size).

An interesting idea for decorating a restaurant on the coast of Pomorie.

The city has a lot of greenery and parks. In the hot summer heat this is especially valuable.

Burgas is one of the largest cities Bulgaria

- quite attractive and inexpensive resort. There is a large seaport here, international Airport, railway and bus stations.

Burgas has beautiful clean beaches, a large seaside park (about 7 km) with, Opera theatre and several museums. All this attracts many tourists to the city every year.

Despite the fact that the Internet actively promises cheap shopping in Burgas, in fact prices there's very much rather big, Truth good choice. The city itself, although large, is very beautiful.

On main street Burgas is the “navel of the city”.

If you don’t know where the opera house is located in the city, you might not even notice it. Outwardly, it looks more like an ordinary building.

Although Burgas is a port city, the coasts are clean and the water is quiet and calm.

In front of the monument to the Soviet soldier right on main square Burgas, in the morning you can “refresh yourself” in an unusual fountain.

One of the main attractions of the city is the Burgas seaside park.

Sunny Beach is the most expensive resort in Bulgaria

- one of most popular and famous tourist complexes of the country. A city of non-stop discos, built up with rows of countless hotels. Everything is expensive here. Prices in shops, restaurants, on beaches, by taxi - several times higher than in Pomorie. And at the same time the resort is literally packed with people. The beaches, although clean, can often be seen seaweed on the shore (and in the evening they are thrown back into the water).

The resort was awarded for the environmental benefits of water and sand Blue flag.

On Sunny Beach there is a bus station. In the city you can easily order many excursions.

If you stomp on these planks for a long, long time under the scorching sun, you can go to the beach of Sunny Beach.

The tourists who stayed in this hotel were luckier - they don’t have to go far to the beach.

Cheerful Duck copes well with his role - he invites vacationers to enjoy fast food.

A bridge spans the busy Sunny Beach highway. In it you can walk up to the second floor or ride the elevator and cross a dangerous road.

A popular form of entertainment for vacationers on Sunny Beach is taking a souvenir photo with a huge live parrot.

Balchik - city-botanical garden

Balchik - inexpensive, but not too much beautiful resort. We wouldn't want to spend all 14 days here.

What makes Balchik popular is its fabulously beautiful summer residence of the Romanian queen in him. This is one of the main attractions throughout Bulgaria, especially its coastal region.

The city is located in the north of the country and is the third largest seaport. We've been looking for a long time bus station in Balchik, but it turned out that he not anymore. There is a regular bus stop next to the old and abandoned building. There is a bus schedule on it, which you can take to leave the city.

The main disadvantage, is that get there from Balchik directly to the same Nessebar or Burgas impossible. Necessarily need to change seats in Varna.

This is what the bus station in Balchik looks like now - a completely abandoned building.

Walking the streets of Balchik is not very pleasant. Old buildings surround you everywhere, and it’s hard to hide from the sun, as there is little greenery.

The Queen's residence looks much better from the outside than from the inside.

There is also an Ethnographic Museum in the city, but entrance to it is paid.

From the territory botanical garden The whole city of Balchik is clearly visible.

Golden Sands - a hot resort in Bulgaria

Golden Sands is one of the the largest resorts of the country. Prices Here a little lower, than on Sunny Beach, but the weather is usually very hot. The sun is simply incredibly hot, because the mountains do not allow fresh air to get through, so it is often stuffy here.

Great fit for young people and lovers nightlife. This resort will not let you get bored - music and fun do not stop around the clock. But there is one minus here - descent to the beach and entrance to the sea not so flat, like in Sunny Beach or Nessebar due to the mountainous terrain.

Varna - the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria

Varna is also popular resort Bulgaria. This is a huge, living city with big amount parks, shops and squares. It’s impossible to say that everything here is very cheap, but it’s also especially high prices you can't name it either.

Varna is an important economic and Cultural Center with its own airport and established ferry service. This the biggest port city of Bulgaria.

Varna has large bus station, from which you can leave in any direction - both within Bulgaria itself and to other countries of the world.

Varna has many unusual and beautiful buildings, especially in the city center.

The Assumption Cathedral of Varna is very beautiful in the evening, when it is illuminated from below by many small lanterns.

The openwork Asparukhov Bridge is the most long bridge in Bulgaria, connecting the two parts of Varna.

Obzor - a young resort village

We were only passing through this town, but it seemed to us cute And inexpensive, even if a little boring. Obzor is developing rapidly and soon promises a luxurious holiday for any category of tourists.

Prices On him much lower than at popular resorts in the country. In the town there is a bus station.

Sea a little warmer than in neighboring Golden Sands. Great for holidays with children. In Obzor there is a children's camp with a water park and an amusement park.

There is a small bus station in Obzor.

Residential buildings and hotels in the village are small but cozy.

Life moves slowly on the streets of Obzor.

The information board stands next to the bus station and anyone can read useful information.

The village, as we noticed, has a lot of greenery, which is a definite plus on hot summer days.

Review of Bulgarian beaches: Sozopol, Pomorie

Top ten best and most beautiful beaches

The length of the Bulgarian beach line is almost four hundred kilometers. Conventionally, it is divided into northern and southern parts. There are a large number of hotels and hotel complexes of different categories here.

Any beach area is municipal property, so the authorities monitor cleanliness and maintain order. Resort hotels with beaches are also responsible for their maintenance.

The best-kept ten beaches are awarded the international Blue Flag award, awarded by the UNESCO organization. Considering that they are very popular among vacationers from all over the world, let’s look at them in more detail:

With different coating

There are several types of beaches in Bulgaria according to the type of coverage:

Protected areas and hotels in Bulgaria with their own beaches

There are luxurious beaches in Bulgaria located on the territory of hotels or protected areas. These include the Dunes resort. Only hotel guests can enjoy the picturesque beach with sand. Mostly families with children live there.

Another such beach is Irakli. It is also located in a protected nature reserve and is far from noisy resorts. This is an ideal place for those seeking solitude with nature.

The beach near the Admiral Hotel at the Golden Sands resort will not only amaze with its white clean sand and comfortable wooden sun loungers, but also convenient descent to the beach area. Mothers with strollers can take their babies to the sun loungers directly from the hotel.

Wild and deserted

For office workers who are caught up in the hustle and bustle, wild beaches are often of particular interest, where they can be alone with nature, turn on relaxation, and catch fish or mussels. There are such places in Bulgaria, but usually there are no decent apartments nearby to stay. You can only stay there at a campsite or with the owners of houses in neighboring villages, where the number of amenities is minimal.

Experienced tourists praise the Primorsky resort, located fifty kilometers from Burgas. It combines a highly developed infrastructure and inexpensive housing.

Deserted wild beaches are located in the Ropotamo Nature Reserve (located behind holiday village Zhivkova). You can quickly get there from the city by car. There are small shells and pebbles on the seabed, which allows you to see many beautiful fish, crabs and shrimp when snorkeling. Many areas have beautiful trees right next to the water. Fans of sandy beaches will find them nearby, but they cannot be called secluded due to the large flow of tourists.

Which beaches are suitable for families with children?

When going on a family vacation with children, parents usually have quite logical requirements for the beaches:

  • landscaping;
  • gentle entrance to the water;
  • children's playgrounds and entertainment;
  • security;
  • post with rescuers;
  • an area with a canopy creating shade;
  • availability of showers and toilets;
  • delicious food in a cafe.

Many beaches in Bulgaria meet all these requirements. But which one should you choose? We will focus on the most popular ones.

Beaches of Nessebar

Nessebar is located on a peninsula with rocks, but this does not mean that it is not suitable for families with children. Between the village and the resort of Ravda there is a cozy sandy beach, protected from the wind on all sides. Entry into the water is very convenient for children. Vacationers can sleep on paid sun loungers under umbrellas or in the free area. There is a children's playground with attractions nearby.

Another suitable one for children's recreation considered the beach of "Olympic hopes". It offers interesting water attractions, rental of catamarans and surfboards. Nessebar also has many family hotels with comfortable beaches located right on the seashore.

The Olympic Hopes beach is suitable for families with children.

Beaches of Pomorie

An excellent choice for a holiday with children. They are covered with gray sand, which has medicinal properties. There are no cold currents here, due to which the water heats up very well. The beach area is divided into equipped paid and free areas. It is equipped with a children's playground. The southern side of the beach is better developed.

Families vacationing at this resort can go to the shell beach. There is also good platform for children's games.

Beach "Saint Vlas"

A true beach holiday destination. Warm water, hot air, fine sand - this is the best gift for kids. Next to the listed benefits, there are lush alleys of acacia trees, creating a life-saving shade and giving tourists a pleasant aroma. The resort is surrounded by pine trees, thanks to which the air has healing powers.

It has its own yacht club. Directly from the shore you can admire the beauty of Nessebar, and in the evening, if you have someone to leave the children with, go to a beach party or to a club in the resort of Sunny Beach, which is only two kilometers away.

“Saint Vlas is a true place for a beach holiday.

Sunny Beach Beach

Sunny Beach is the largest Bulgarian resort. The entrance to the water is very gentle, the beaches are sandy. At night, breezes bring pleasant coolness. Eight kilometers coastline accommodated a hundred hotels, more than a hundred restaurants and cafes. There are many playgrounds, swimming pools, water attractions and slides built here for children.

Irakli Beach

Located in the north of the Sunny Beach resort. It is considered one of the best due to the presence of a reserve that is not built up with hotel complexes. The beach is almost always free. Pristine nature goes well with developed infrastructure. The only drawback of this place is the periodically cold water (a river flows here).

We present to your attention interesting video about Kabakum beach, located in the “Chaika” area, 10 km from the center of Varna:

There are plenty of picturesque and well-kept beaches in Bulgaria. It is difficult to choose the best among them, especially if you take into account the very different tastes and requirements of vacationers. But the places listed here will definitely not disappoint you.

You can find more information on the topic in the section.

Hospitable Bulgaria has long won the reputation of a family health resort. Tourists with children love the local long summer, warm sea and soft sand on the beaches. However, the requirements for beach holiday may be different. Some people want to relax on a deserted shore, others are looking for a place with a wide range of services. To bring the expected pleasure, we offer an overview of the beaches at popular family resorts in this country.

The main luxury of the country is the long strip of beaches along the Black Sea coast. Here there are exactly the conditions that families with children are looking for for a vacation: a sandy shore, a gentle entrance to the water, good infrastructure. But the wild beaches of Bulgaria can also be a good place to enjoy the sun and sea swimming. Wild areas of the coast are often located close to equipped beaches, such as in Nessebar, Sozopol or Duni.

Sandy beaches of Bulgaria for children

Bulgarian beaches are mostly covered with fine golden sand. The sand at some resorts is darker due to the admixture of iron compounds; it has a proven healing effect. Sometimes there are shell beaches. The small shell is as pleasant to the touch as sand, and also does not form a suspension in coastal water. Sections of the coast covered with shell crumbs are found in Nessebar and Pomorie.

Pebble beach in Bulgaria

There are almost no pebble beaches on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. There are small areas covered with pebbles in the area of Sozopol and Nessebar. As a rule, these are unequipped beaches. More often there is a rocky shore, where you can also sunbathe and swim. Concrete platforms are sometimes installed on rocky areas - such beaches have been created in Nessebar and Pomorie.

Irakli Beach

In the category “Popular beaches of Bulgaria” the championship is held by Irakli beach, located north of the resort Sunny Beach. The central beach of the resort is located next to the Marine Park, the main place for walking. The coastal strip reaches a width of 100 meters. The entrance to the sea is gentle, but the water is not as clean as in other family resorts in Bulgaria. Local authorities have ordered no charges for the use of sun loungers and sun umbrellas. But, since almost all vacationers are located on the central beach, it is worth stocking up on your own beach towel and umbrella.

Not far from the Izgrev quarter is the Northern Beach of Burgas. IN last years landscaping work was carried out there, security and a rescue service appeared.

Beaches of Sozopol

Has several beaches. There are two of them within the city - Central and Southern. The shallow central beach, located in the Old Town, is well suited for families with children. However, the coastal strip is quite narrow, and many holidaymakers want to stay on it. At the end of July - August, the sea near the shore is overgrown with algae, so swimming is not very pleasant.

Located in the New Town nice beach For family vacation- Harmani. This is a long, wide strip of sand with a clean and shallow sea near the shore. The beach has a well-developed infrastructure and a rescue service. There is a charge for the use of sun loungers and umbrellas.

In the suburbs of Sozopol there are the most beautiful beaches Bulgaria: Kavatsite and Smokine. Kavatsite is a strip of golden sand nestled between two capes, 3 km from Sozopol. For families with small children, it is better to choose a well-maintained paid area in the center of the beach. With teenagers, especially if they like diving, you can relax closer to the rocks. The sea here surprises with its purity and transparency.

The places in the area of Smokine beach, which is 5 km from Sozopol, are very picturesque, but due to the lack of infrastructure, they are more suitable for youth recreation. 3 km from Sozopol is paid beach"Golden Fish", where the surf school operates. The cozy resort of Duni is 7 km away from Sozopol. Its long beach with fine sand is very popular with families with children. The sea here is always calm thanks to the long breakwater. Near the beach there is a small park with a children's playground.

Nessebar beach

Closer to Ravda there is a well-maintained “Olympic Hopes” beach. There are water attractions, catamaran rentals, and a windsurfing center. Forests and rocks in some areas come right down to the water. Algae washes up on the sand, but there is almost no debris.

Kamchia

Atliman

Located in the town of Kiten. Because of its position, it has another name – Northern. Covering: light sand. The bay to which it belongs is sheltered from the winds. The surrounding rocks create an additional barrier to gusty flows of cool air. Central beach of Burgas

Located near the Marine Park. Medium in length, the width in some areas reaches 100 meters. Sand with impurities, which is why it has a dark color. The water is light, almost transparent. It comes close to hills covered with greenery. Long and not wide. The sand is light, and the water has a rich blue color. There are no separate areas or sun loungers on the beach, but rentals are available. Since the area does not allow cafes and shops to open, you can only buy water and snacks from private traders. Entertainment: water slides, banana rides, kite flying, table tennis.

Review

The beaches are divided into three sections: northern, central and southern. The central one is wider than the others and more crowded. This is where the differences end. An embankment stretches along the coast. There are areas with installed umbrellas. They are free, as is entrance to the beach. On the land side, the beach is framed by hills and dense thickets. There is little entertainment; catamaran rentals operate irregularly.
