The first name of the Crimean peninsula is Tavrida. It has been attached to the peninsula since ancient times. After the 13th century, the peninsula received its modern name- Crimea.

Crimea is located in the south of Russia and is washed by two seas: the Black and Azov. Crimea is connected to the continent in the north. Scientists have proven that people first appeared on the peninsula in the Stone Age.

Hotels on the map of Crimea

Private sector. It flourished in Crimea. There are signs everywhere: “Accommodation by the sea” and “Rooms for rent.” The catch is this: housing by the sea is only nominally by the sea. There really is a sea, but it’s a long way to get to it! Another catch is economy class housing. This is not the usual European economy, it is an economy in the Crimean way - with a toilet on the street and a shared shower, where the water is heated in a barrel under the sun. And for such conditions they want a lot of money - at least 400 rubles per person in Sudak, for example.

The Demerdzhi massif is especially beautiful in cloudy weather, when the mountains are shrouded in fog.

Food prices in Crimea in 2019

Prices in cafes and restaurants

Where can you eat inexpensively in Crimea and how much does it cost:

  • in canteens (check - 300-500 rubles for two);
  • in national cafes (check - 400-600 rubles for two);
  • in cafes at hotels and guest houses with home cooking (breakfast - about 300 rubles, lunch - 500 rubles, dinner - the same for two);
  • in chain fast food establishments - for example, pancake shops, pizzerias, cheburechnaya (200-400 for two).
  • In Sudak there is a good canteen "Eda" near the fortress and the restaurant "Red Dragon" on the embankment - the pizza there is delicious, from 300 rubles.
  • In Yalta and Alushta, go to the “Home-style Dining Room”: tasty, filling, cheap. After 20:00 - discounts. At this time, locals come and buy inexpensive food, so there are queues.
  • In Koktebel, at the very end of the embankment, there is a deserted canteen - it’s cheap, but not very tasty.

Menu of the canteen "Food" near the fortress in Sudak. Everything is very cheap and tasty!
Lunch at the "Eda" dining room for 350 rubles for two.

Prices for food in stores and markets

In Crimea, there are no large chain stores like Perekrestok, Lenta and Magnit that we are used to. From large local supermarkets - "PUD", where prices are normal. Small grocery stores are overpriced, so buy in supermarkets.

Here are the prices for food in Crimea in 2019 in the PUD supermarket (in season):

  • bread - from 20 rubles;
  • boiled sausage - from 380 rubles;
  • sausages (kg) - 250-400 rubles;
  • hard cheese (kg) - 200-450 rubles;
  • milk (1 l) - from 70 rubles;
  • potatoes (kg) - from 30 rubles;
  • cucumbers (kg) - from 40 rubles;
  • tomatoes (kg) - from 140 rubles;
  • bananas (kg) - 70-100 rubles;
  • tangerines (kg) - 80 rubles;
  • oranges (kg) - from 70 rubles.

The PUD hypermarket in Kerch has excellent pastries and cakes, but they are expensive.

In the markets Buy only seasonal vegetables, fruits and berries (figs, grapes, cherries, apricots, peaches, cherries, strawberries, etc.) - they are inexpensive. For example, during the harvest, local grapes were sold to us for 30 rubles per kg.

  • cherry (kg) - from 80 rubles;
  • grapes (kg) - 30-100 rubles;
  • mulberry (glass) - 100 rubles;
  • apricots (kg) - 120-200 rubles;
  • cherries (kg) - 80-180 rubles;
  • apples (kg) - from 100-150 rubles;
  • strawberries (kg) - 100-250 rubles;
  • churchkhela (pcs) - 60-100 rubles.

Wine in Crimea it is inexpensive - on average from 250 rubles per bottle. Sold in small specialized stores - "Massandra", "Solnechnaya Dolina" (on tap or in bottles) and in stores at wineries (for example, in the Inkerman or Golitsyn wine factories). Wine by the glass is also sold on the coast. It's cheap there, but the quality is questionable. We tried it once and didn’t get poisoned, but we don’t trust it and buy wine only in special stores.

Advice: Try the fortified wine “Black Doctor” with a pleasant caramel-berry aftertaste (900 rubles for 0.375 l and from 1,400 rubles for 0.7 l - it’s more profitable to take a large bottle).

Cost of holidays in Crimea in 2019

Now let's do the math how much does a trip to Crimea cost for two? for 5, 7 and 10 days with departure from Moscow at the height of the season. We did not take into account excursions, entrance tickets to attractions, intercity trips, souvenirs, since this is individual.

  • Flights from Moscow - 14,000 rubles in both directions for two.
  • Inexpensive decent guest house - 2000 rubles per day.
  • Meals - 1500 rubles per day.

Buying plane tickets via the Internet is no longer surprising. It's fast, convenient, allows you to find Best offer in terms of time and price and not have to wait in a kilometer-long queue for registration.

However, friends or relatives constantly contact me asking me to help them buy a plane ticket. While this simple operation does not cause any difficulties for the younger generation, older people, accustomed to paper tickets, do not quite understand how they can buy a plane ticket via the Internet.
In this article I will tell you about my personal experience shopping, which I have is quite extensive, and I will also give detailed instructions with screenshots and examples of how to independently purchase a plane ticket online in any direction. These instructions are written for people who find it difficult to purchase on their own. Therefore, if you have already repeatedly used the services of ticket aggregators, you can safely go to and start searching; I will not write anything new for you here.

Let's start with the basics. The search for suitable tickets takes place on a service aggregator website, which collects a common database for all airlines and all ticket sellers. This is very convenient because you can immediately see all the offers in your direction, compare prices and find the seller with the best price.
There are many aggregator sites, but I recommend using only two: skyskaner.ru and aviasales.ru. These are the most popular sites, which have also been personally and repeatedly tested, and feature only reliable sellers.

Three simple rules for buying plane tickets

Rule one: plan ahead

If you are planning to fly to Crimea or any south direction, as well as in European countries in the summer, then the search for tickets should begin in March. Unlike tours, early booking here it is not only more profitable, but also sometimes simply necessary. The southern direction is overloaded in summer and, despite not summer schedule and additional flights, tickets sell out instantly. Therefore, here you have two options: buy cheap ticket in advance or buy for the next chair at 3 times more expensive, but later.
Yes, it happens in the summer, there are last-minute offers that are much more profitable than booking earlier. But for this you need to have free time, sit and check the aggregator site every day, break loose and quickly fly away if something happens... In general, this is an option for those who do not have work and strictly limited vacation.

How are things going in winter? Yes, exactly the same. The only difference is that in winter there are practically no direct flights in the southern direction and you have to fly with a transfer through Moscow. Let’s say that in order to fly from Murmansk to Simferopol right tomorrow the day after tomorrow you will have to pay this much:

And to do this in a week or two, so much:

Therefore the first rule bargain purchase goes like this: plan your flight in advance. If your vacation is in July, start looking for tickets in March-April.

Of course, flying a direct flight is much more convenient than with a transfer through Moscow. But sometimes it turns out that the difference in price is 2-3 times greater. Let’s say that in July a direct flight cost me almost 50 thousand for 4 people, and a flight through Moscow about 20 thousand for 4 people.
Moreover, the difference between flights was only 1 hour 20 minutes. That is, we practically got off one plane and immediately boarded another.
The only inconvenience is two takeoffs and two landings. There may also be various problems with flight delays and cancellations. But in this case, these are not your problems, because... the airline is obliged to put you on the next flight that has free seats or solve your problems in some other way without any additional payments on your part.

The second rule for buying tickets at a good price: consider all flight options to your chosen destination, including transfers.

Rule three: departure date

Each airline has its own schedule, and there are probably daily flights to Simferopol only from Moscow and a couple more major cities. From all other cities, each airline flies a maximum of 2 times a week. Let's say an Aeroflot flight flies on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the flight Ural Airlines on Mondays and Fridays.
If you choose to fly on Wednesday, you may not find any direct flights at all. Although they exist.

Rule three: Check at least 4 days before and 4 days after your desired departure date.

Why exactly 4 days, and not 3 or 5? I simply derived this figure experimentally, researching aggregators to find the most profitable tickets. All airlines fall into this range, and each of them operates at least 1 flight.
And since all airlines have different prices, you will have the opportunity to compare them and find the best deal.

Search for plane tickets via the Internet. Step-by-step instruction

Now let's proceed directly to the search for tickets. I will show you the whole process using the example of the website aviasales.ru. So, let's go to the aggregator site (exactly the same search form is at the very end of this article). And enter the data into the search form:

  • Departure city
  • Arrival city
  • departure date
  • Number of persons

Let's say I entered Yekaterinburg - Simferopol, April 30, 1 person.
He shows me the cheapest ticket, 8,575 rubles, with a transfer in Moscow, the difference between flights is 6 hours. The entire flight takes 11 hours 10 minutes. Not good a good option, taking into account the fact that the flight directly from Yekaterinburg to Simferopol is just over 3 hours.

We continue our search. Just below the search form there is a timeline with ticket prices for a specific date. Here you can immediately see that we chose the wrong flight date and the very next day there is a clear price drop.

Here's a good date: May 1, the ticket price will be 7,735 rubles. Let's check the flight conditions. Let's do a new search with the same conditions, but for May 1st.

The option turned out even better. The flight is via Moscow, but the entire flight will take 7 hours 15 minutes, and you will only have to wait in Moscow for 2 hours.

We continue to search by dates before and after the desired departure date until we find the best option.

At the time of writing, the summer schedule has not yet been posted on the aggregator website. Therefore, on the screenshots everything is viewed through Moscow. In March this schedule will already be available, and you will also be able to buy tickets for direct flights.

Ticketing

Once you have decided on the departure date, we begin issuing the ticket. In the table you see several offers for the date you selected.
Their differences are in the carrier, departure time, transfer time and price. If you see two completely identical offers and cannot find the differences, then it is the same flight, just different ticket sellers. Since the website aviasales.ru accumulates many offers from different sellers, such situations are not uncommon.

So, select the offer we need and click “Buy ticket”.
After this, you are redirected directly to the booking form on the seller’s website.

We fill out the form very carefully. The data must be entered exactly as it is indicated in your passport. Some airlines ask you to fill in Russian letters, some in Latin letters. This is usually indicated in the prompts on the booking form.

Click “Continue” and you will be taken to the form for entering passport data.

If you don’t know how to fill out these fields correctly, click on the “?” and watch the tooltips.

Here you can also choose additional options and health insurance. Of all the additional options offered, I usually only take insurance. Everything else is an unnecessary increase in the cost of the ticket, but you can choose the option of returning the ticket, choosing a seat in the cabin, or some other goodies if you want, if you think that you really need it.

Here you will be offered 3 options: payment by bank card, in cash at Svyaznoy and Euroset stores, payment in installments.
The most profitable option is to pay by credit card. In this case, you only pay the cost of the tickets. When paying through communication shops, you will be charged a small percentage for the transfer; when paying in installments, the percentage will be large.

Remember that the reservation is valid certain time(usually 23 hours), after which it will be canceled. Therefore, if you choose the cash payment option, try to meet this time to avoid annoying misunderstandings.

So, payment by bank card:

In the left window we carefully copy the data from our card, in the right window we enter the CVC code located on the back of the card. Presses the button to pay for the order. Then, in the form that appears, enter the confirmation code that will be sent via SMS to your phone.

Payment through Svyaznoy and Euroset stores:
1. Select the payment method “Cash in Svyaznoy and Euroset stores.” Please note that the payment amount will be higher.

2. Click continue shopping

3. Write down the payment code (it will also be sent to the phone number and e-mail specified when purchasing tickets).

4. Tell the operator in the cabin that you want to pay for the ticket and state your code.
5. After payment, be sure to keep the receipt.

That's all! Your tickets have been issued. You will receive them to the mailbox specified when purchasing tickets as soon as the seller receives payment from you. If you paid by credit card, you can check your e-mail, the tickets are already there.

You can print your tickets if you wish, but this is not required. When checking in for a flight, you only need to present your passport or birth certificate if you are traveling with a minor child.

check-in

Boarding the plane is carried out using a boarding pass, which will be issued to you upon check-in for the flight. Today, most airlines provide online check-in services.
Check-in begins 24 hours and ends 40 minutes before departure. These are average data different airlines they may differ, so it is better to check them in advance on the AK website or by calling the hotline.

I strongly recommend that you use online check-in for your flight for the following reasons:
1. you don’t have to arrive at the airport 2–3 hours before departure, because you will already have a boarding pass
2. baggage check-in is usually done at a separate counter, you do not have to stand in a general queue (this is not the case everywhere, check at the airport)
3. If you are traveling with a small child, many airlines provide a free seat selection service. In particular, AK S7, for which we issued a ticket today, provides such an opportunity. When registering, the most comfortable places for passengers with children will be marked with special icons. Think carefully about where it will be more comfortable for you to sit: by the window or better by the aisle, so that the child can walk around the cabin without disturbing anyone?
4. Many people use this service. Therefore, those who decide to check in at the airport usually get the worst seats: in the back, near the toilet, or in the last row, where the back of the seat does not recline.

So, here are the instructions for checking in for your flight online:

Find out the airline’s website address in advance and read the online check-in conditions.

On the day of check-in, go to the airline’s website, go to the page Online registration and enter your last name and ticket number in the form.

Next, you will be asked to choose a seat in the cabin (paid or free depending on the carrier’s conditions). If you do not want to pay extra for choosing a seat, then you will not be able to change it. After that, click the “Register” button.

Boarding passes will be sent to you by e-mail specified when placing your order.

Boarding passes, unlike tickets, must be printed. Some airports have special terminals for printing boarding passes, while others do not yet have them. Therefore, it is better not to risk it and print them in advance.

That's all for sure now! We bought tickets and checked in for the flight. All that remains is to pack your things and arrive at the airport on time. I hope this simple instruction will help you understand the process of buying tickets online not only to Crimea, but throughout the world. Fly with pleasure!

Dear travelers, hello everyone!

Today I would like to highlight in a nutshell the elements of my epic struggle to save money on airfare with Russian airlines. Despite the fact that this battle was comparable to a battle with windmills, nevertheless, you and I can still draw some conclusions and lessons for ourselves.

My main life the principles of “don’t hang your nose”, “Baba Yaga is against it” and “life is not only promotions and sales” permanently help me in my work. But still, in some disciplines such as "buy cheap tickets from Aeroflot" or “get out of Crimea if the whole world is against it” I, unfortunately, am not on horseback.

Well, I won’t ramble, but will go straight to the facts, key points and thoughts that accumulated in my head while licking my wounds after the battle.

So, before dawn, on February 18th, I went online and, as the site’s creators promised, Aviasales in a few clicks I bought the cheapest tickets to Istanbul from the airline Azerbaijan Airlines . I didn’t have time to put into action even half of the methods I described in the article about ways to find cheap air tickets.

Yes, these were tickets without luggage, yes, it was a flight with a transfer Moscow – Baku – Istanbul. But!

  1. The departure and arrival times were good.
  2. I have never been to Baku
  3. 5500 rubles for ticket against 12000 rubles on average - this is success!

Having bought tickets from Moscow to Turkey, I started looking for cheap tickets from Simferopol to Moscow and back. Since it was necessary to connect both flights more or less comfortably, I had to sweat, drink liters of coffee and stare at constantly updating browser pages in search of the perfect solution.

Flight Simferopol – Moscow – Simferopol and where these prices come from

I had to cancel air tickets in both directions immediately. Neither the price, nor the departure time, nor the name of the Moscow airport coincided with my ideas about a comfortable and inexpensive flight.

All the tools of my favorite site were used Aviasales, which I talked about in detail. And then a miracle happened! God's light spilled onto the darkness-shrouded earth and 2750 rubles I buy tickets Simferopol - Moscow from the airline S7 on May 25th. Without luggage, but with human departure time.

The most difficult thing remains - to buy tickets Moscow - Simferopol for the beginning of June. The dates considered were June 6 and 7. There was nothing interesting in the foreseeable future.

An epic battle and a detailed analysis of prices

So, 3 months before departure, the best I could find were tickets for the same 2750 rubles , again without luggage and with depressing departure times: 23:45, 02:15 and 5:45.

As for me, this is a mockery of people and members of trade unions.

I know from experience that in Europe at night all airports are plunged into twilight and operate only international terminals with flights outside the Eurozone. For example, to Moscow, Beijing or Los Angeles.

Price for tickets S7 quickly jumped up to 4965 rubles . They also flashed in the arena Red Wings And Vim Airlines . But neither the price, nor the availability of luggage, nor the departure time suited us.

We don’t live in Madagascar, I thought, and continued to wait and monitor prices. Personally, I thought that not all companies had announced their flights and were about to enter the market with interesting offers.

At the height of March the battle began Pegas Fly . 5000 rubles for a seat with luggage of 23 kg, but with departure from Sheremetyevo. And departures are also at 23:00 and 05:00. Doesn't fit.

April passed without any surges of activity. The future did not promise anything good.

Ha ha, I thought. No one will force you to buy tickets and you will immediately reduce prices. Then I will buy cheaper tickets.

But fixed price 4600-5000 rubles clearly loomed before my eyes and did not think about going down.

As a result, in early May, unable to withstand the stress, I buy tickets from Ural Airlines for 5500 rubles . Although this is still not what I wanted, there is a flight from Domodedovo, there is luggage, and the departure time of 8:30 is more suitable for the term “human”.

Result of the fight:

  • Moscow – Baku – Istanbul – Baku – Moscow – 15,000 rubles for three persons.
  • Simferopol – Moscow – Simferopol – 25,000 rubles for three persons.

So, the flight Moscow – Simferopol is the most inconvenient route on any trip for a Crimean resident during the season. If you can still find half-empty charters back with discounted prices, then you won’t be able to fly to Crimea for cheap. 5000 rubles for a ticket for a seat without luggage - this is the best there is.

Behind 3000 rubles I could buy the same ticket, but with a night departure time and only 3 months before departure.

Aviasales regularly sent me offers, but the closer the departure date was, the more mocking they were. It feels like it was some kind of scam.

It could be worse, the price was confirmed and even the site where this ticket could be bought was indicated. Please note look at these 2 pictures and find ten one, but the difference is very important.

Did you notice?

The following price offer is from the official website with a tariff 2 times higher. This is true. After visiting the site Tickets.ru we will find the recording “this ticket no longer exists” .

In addition to real information, Aviasales happens and swallows any spam or site errors, which, well, at least I was never able to use to my advantage.

And look what started to happen on June 7th. I just deliberately did not turn off notifications even after purchasing tickets, in order to track the trend for the future.

Conclusions and my decisions

  1. The route Simferopol - Moscow from the end of May to the beginning of September should be carefully thought out along with the main flight from Moscow. Options I'll take tickets to Mexico, and somehow we will get to Moscow during the closed season.
  2. If you have seen ticket prices in a search engine for 3 months, then hope that they will become cheaper (again in summer season) there is no point. Based on my analysis, I can say that prices will only rise and, at best, briefly fall to the starting values that were 3 months ago.
  3. Some tickets that look like “it’s just some kind of holiday” are either system errors or are in a single copy. Not suitable for families.

Well, the main answer to the question of what to do with Crimean tickets For myself, I gave this answer:

Make your choice decisively as soon as possible, but only after all airlines have posted their offers online.

There is no point in waiting for mercy. Just not in this direction. As I understand it, it would be better for our airlines to cancel the flight, merge passengers with another airline, but in no case will they lower the originally stated prices.

Only people can afford this Aeroflot And "Russia" and only out of season.

And finally, some advice. Learn to fly without luggage . Of course, after returning from Turkey, this advice does not work and only a Chukchi can return from Istanbul empty-handed. But the global trend is towards the fact that soon you will have to pay extra for luggage on any airline. And the conversation is about 2000 rubles per bag. Add to this 500 rubles per package and up to half an hour of wasted time waiting for luggage.

Some things are easier to buy on the spot than to carry all your belongings on your back. Expensive and ineffective! I described in more detail about preparing for a flight in Crimea or anywhere else.
