Nai yang beach resort planes. Guide to Nai Yang Beach Phuket: secret locations and passwords. Restaurant and food

The coast is about 3 km long and covered with golden sand. Sun beds and umbrellas are available only in hotel areas. The descent into the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy. In the sea near the shore there are several small islands and coral reef, which serve as natural breakwaters that dampen waves.

On the southern side of the beach there is a small casuarina grove; in the north, close to the sand line, a dense tropical forest approaches. The beach is not crowded, and in some places completely deserted. It is especially comfortable to relax here with small children. There are almost no waves, the shore is shallow, and entire cities can be built on the sand. Nai Yang at low tide does not offer a single chance to swim - the water goes hundreds of meters away.

Noisy entertainment on Nai Yang is not welcome, since the protected area is inhabited by a large number of wild animals, reptiles and birds that can leave their usual habitats in an extreme situation. Travel on boats and motorized longtails, parasailing, water skiing and other similar water activities are prohibited in the bay. You can go diving, snorkeling, surfing.

When is the best time to go?

Best time for beach holiday in Phuket lasts from November to April or May. The weather during this period is sunny, calm, the sea is calm, there are almost no waves. The height of the beach season occurs in December, when a number of major international holidays are added to the water activities. Prices for air tickets, accommodation, services, food and transport reach their maximum.

Located very close to air harbor islands, about a kilometer away. Nearby are the beaches of Mai Khao (to the north) and. There is no exact boundary near the beach, either administrative or natural. Just a strip of sand about 2 km long, which is commonly called Nai Yang Beach. Despite its proximity to, this place is one of the most tranquil and authentic on the island and the least affected by civilization. Besides the excellent ecology, there is nothing else there - no large, noisy markets, or even bars with available girls. Once on Nai Yang, he finds himself surrounded by tropical greenery, soft warm sand under his feet, and in front of him is the endless Andaman Sea with clear azure waters. Life on the beach comes to a complete standstill immediately after sunset; almost the entire coastline is plunged into darkness, dispelled only where a dozen hotels are located.

North side of the beach

The northern side of Nai Yang Beach in Phuket is rarely visited by tourists. This place is chosen by the aborigines and is revered by them as a place family vacation. The very gentle entrance to the sea – several tens of meters, all knee-deep – is very conducive to baby swimming. In the evenings and on weekends, entire family clans relax there. The strip of sand is not wide - no more than ten meters. Immediately behind it begins a lawn - green grass and small tropical forest, where you can find the desired shade. There are no sunbeds or umbrellas in this part of the beach.

There are hotels in this part of the beach, but they are located behind the road, about a hundred meters from the shore. All of them are of the so-called bungalow type. During the day, beachgoers are served by several peddlers offering stewed chicken with rice and fruit.

Immediately after sunset it becomes completely dark; there is no street lighting here. If you want to walk at night, be sure to take a flashlight. And mainly to scare away snakes that go hunting at night. For the same purpose, throw away good manners and shuffle your feet as loudly as possible.

Beach center

In the center, Nai Yang Beach is quite well inhabited. It is here that most of the hotels are built, there are several small shops, restaurants, bars and tour desks. Well, traditional massage parlors, Certainly. By the way, there you will also find a taxi rank, from where you can go not only to the airport, but also to any part of the island, including.

They also offer excursions (read more about) to the main attractions of the island - to the Ban Pe waterfall, Wat Chalong or. And also to the Phuket Night Market. If you agree with the bombers, you can go outside the island - to, to, or to the islands. But it will be more expensive than from the main bus station of the island, from where minivans depart on the indicated routes. For example, officials will take you to Lanta for about 250 baht, and to Krabi for 150.

The center of the beach is not much different from the rest tourist places on the coast of Phuket. The road passes from it only fifty meters. Vacationers are provided with sun loungers (free of charge), which are arranged in four rows. Any suggestions water activities, among which I would especially like to mention the rental of kayak boats. You won’t find this even on, where, it would seem, all the whims of tourists are catered to.

There are not too many idle people in this part of the beach, even in high season, and with the onset of calendar summer and rains, it is practically deserted. The coastal highway is practically empty throughout the day, with occasional motorbikes passing by. At night, this part of the beach is also practically deserted.

South side of the beach

Nai Yang Beach in Phuket is a truly sparsely populated part of the coast, which is especially noticeable in its southern part. There is still no asphalt laid to this place. The access road is a regular crushed stone primer, like in our province. Outwardly, the southern part is indistinguishable from the northern, but Thais do not visit it. There is no one there at all all day, you can feel like Robinson and Friday.

At the same time, the landscape is really beautiful - many tropical trees and some nameless stream flowing into the sea. Although this place is slowly being developed. On the other side of the river, about two hundred meters from it, the Imperial Adamas Beach Hotel was built. But there are still very few vacationers there. So if you and you are looking for privacy, then Nai Yang Beach is the best choice!

Things to do

What to do at Nai Yang Beach? The Nai Yang place in Phuket itself is quite boring and not creative. Therefore, if you want to have access to a lot of interesting places (and they are not that far away), you better have transport. At least . Then you will have access to most of the natural attractions of the island, of which I would especially like to mention Bangpe - the most big waterfall on it (read more about the most beautiful). And also a couple of interesting temple complexes - Wat Phra Nang Sang and Wat Prathong. And, of course, located next to the airport, on Mai Khao Beach.

Shopaholics will be able to satisfy their passion at, which is about 20 minutes by taxi. There highest concentration large stores of various specialties. Stay there until the evening and you can go to the nightclubs. The largest - the Festival Center - is located in, the drive to which is just under an hour.

You can contact a kiting or surfing school right on the spot. Canoes are available for rent on the beach. In the northern part there is an opportunity to visit a coral reef; for this you will need a mask with a snorkel and fins. For those who like to pamper themselves, we recommend going to the spa. The Slate Hotel offers a whole program for lovers of a healthy lifestyle: yoga, water aerobics, tennis. There are even Thai boxing and karate sections. Well, the most active ones can walk or ride a bicycle around the surrounding area.

Three days a week - Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday - there is a spontaneous market between Mongkol Vararan Temple and Dewa Phuket Hotel. It opens in the afternoon and runs until sunset. They offer fruits, souvenirs and all sorts of little things. You can satisfy your bodily hunger in, where rice and chicken are the most common dishes.

Hotels

Hotels on Nai Yang Beach are located mainly in its middle part. Among the dozen offers, I would like to mention The Slate, Nai Yang Beach Resort, Dewa Phuket. They are located on the side of the coastal highway opposite the water's edge, which most deserted day. Two beach mattresses and an umbrella are offered free of charge for guests, and for 200 baht per day for guests. You can find the most suitable hotel on the websites hotellook.ru or roomguru.ru. And you can see the best of them in the selection below.

This section of the Phuket coastline is the least dangerous during the rainy season. Doesn't happen there high waves and rip currents. This is because it is protected from the elements by a coral reef, located half a kilometer away from it. The shallowest entrance to the water is in the north, in the south the depth is greater. There are places where rocks are exposed at low tide. For example, there is such a site near the Imperial Adamas Beach Resort.

How to get there

So, how to get to Nai Yang Beach? There is only one way - to , neither , nor minivans go in that direction. The average cost of a trip is 300 baht.

There are buses from the island capital towards Nai Yang (flight to the airport). Departure from the old bus station, fare is about 100 baht. You need to get off at the Nai Yang sign and then catch a tuk-tuk. Be prepared to wait, they come quite rarely. The best option transfers - stop at the Tesco Lotus market in the village of Thalang, which is located halfway between Nai Yang and the Heroines Monument. There is a songthaew parking lot next to it.

If you are coming from the south on your own, then choose the Thep Krasattri highway, from which you need to turn off at the 14th kilometer towards highway 4026. It will take you to your goal.

Away from most of the island's attractions and activities. It’s precisely the relaxed atmosphere and tranquility that tourists who choose this beach for relax.

If you're looking for fun, leisure, excursions, you will probably be disappointed. We decided to check out Nai Yang Beach before our flight from Phuket and got into the local mood.

In this post, I traditionally talk in detail about the beach, sharing a selection best hotels, cafes, restaurants, I explain how to get there.

Description of Nai Yang Beach

As far as I understand, there is no clear boundary between Nai Yang and the northern beach of Mai Khao. For clarity, I defined it in a bay between two capes, this is clearly visible on the map (it’s at the end of the post). The beach is on site national park Sirinat is 2 km long and about 30-35 meters wide.

The southernmost part of Nai Yang beach is absolutely unsuitable for swimming, it is very shallow and the influence of the tides is strong, and a river flows into the sea. But there are no people at all. A gravel road leads here.

Southern part of the beach

A little further is the main crowd of people, the sun loungers are in two rows, but no one bothers anyone. There is a small strip of palms and other trees that provide shade. There are also several simple cafes and many more restaurants across the road. This is where the main concentration of hotels, massage parlors, and even a few bars are located, but they are far from the noise of Patong.

The middle part of the beach is the best. There are no hotels or cafes right on the shore, but there are large trees, a real forest between the beach and the road. In addition, there are almost no people. Sometimes locals come for a picnic in the evening, lay out mats and sit down to eat.

Just no one

Huge trees create excellent shade

The northern part is a little less suitable for swimming; boats are parked here. But it’s from here best view on planes taking off and landing. If you want planes to fly right over your head, 50 meters away, head to Mai Khao Beach. Travel along the road to this part is paid, the ticket office of the national park costs 200 baht per adult, 100 baht per child. Locals pay less. There are almost no cafes here, and the only accommodation available is park bungalows. By nightfall, all life completely freezes in pitch darkness.

The sand on Nai Yang is medium coarse and light in color, generally pleasant. The water in the sea is clean, and the approach is quite smooth, although steeper than at, for example. Personally, I really liked it here.

Cafes and restaurants in Nai Yang Beach

The most inexpensive food in the area is the local fresh market, where they also sell fruits and vegetables. It is located on the way to the main highway near the temple (I marked it on the map below), and is open from approximately 16 to 20 hours; it may open earlier on weekends.

Typical cafe along the road

How to get there?

The distance between the airport and the beach is about 2 km, so getting there is not a problem. Another thing is that local taxi drivers ask ridiculous amounts of money for such a distance - at the counter at the exit from the arrivals hall the price is 500 baht! In general, bargain.

If you don't have large bags or small children, an acceptable option is to walk, about 3 km. There is also a bus from the airport to Phuket Town along the highway, but not very often and does not go to the beach itself.

The most comfortable option is to order a transfer online through a service verified by tourists. You will be greeted with a sign upon arrival, your bags will be carried to your car and quickly delivered to your place, and you will already know the price in advance and will not have to bargain on the spot.

In the northern part of Phuket, not far from Mai Khao, Nai Yang beach stretches its shores, a small beach, a cozy and small coastal area, the total length of which does not reach three kilometers. You can have a good rest on Nai Yang all year round, surrounded by the shade of casuarinas that fringe the small coves. The calming combination of clear azure sea, as well as golden soft sand with the most necessary infrastructure is successfully implemented on Nai Yang Beach.
