In total, Gazprom operates 14 cable cars, of which 6 are main (the rest are backup).

The first and longest gondola road is 3 kilometers long and leads from the foot (from the village) to the Gazprom complex itself. This lift is an 8-seater closed cabin (also called a gondola lift), and its official name is “Lift A”.

From the Psekhako ridge from a height of 1435 meters, where an elevator takes visitors, they lead to different sides 5 more lifts. You can start skiing from here, or you can go to other slopes. 3 of these 5 lifts are chairlifts (2 4-seater and 1 6-seater). Another 2 lifts are 1-seater tow ropes designed for beginner skiers.

Trails

The total length of Gazprom's routes is 20 kilometers. There are 2 slopes for beginners, 5 intermediate-level slopes, 4 slopes for “advanced” skiers, 3 “black” slopes and 1 mixed, “red-black” slope.

Skiing altitudes range from 890 to 1435 meters. At an altitude of 1660 meters there is an observation deck called Pikhtovaya Polyana. IN given time Work is underway there to develop new routes.

  • The two "green" trails for beginners, called "E" and "C", are served by tow lifts. The slopes themselves are gentle and wide, the height difference is 67 and 30 meters, respectively, and the length is 300 and 443 meters.
  • The tracks “B1” - “B4” are intended for slightly more experienced athletes; they are steep at the beginning and gentle at the end. The height difference is 100-150 meters, the length is 900-1000 meters. The 870-meter long descent “D” is also “blue” and is good for consolidating acquired skills. The “blue” slopes are served by chairlifts.
  • Slopes of category “F” are red and black. The most interesting of them is the F5 route, the left part of which is suitable for experienced skiers, and the right part for professionals. The total height difference reaches 500 meters, and the length is 1700 meters. All runs in this segment are served by the Lift F chairlift.

Gazprom Laura - probably the best option for piste skiing, family vacations and those people who take their first steps and falls on skis. Gazprom is the entire resort, and Laura and "Alpika"- its two parts.

The Gazprom GTC, in addition to the ski area with ski lifts, includes two expensive hotels: "Grand Hotel Polyana" And "Polyana 1389"

How to get there?

There are two cable cars leading to Laura. One old one is from the Grand Hotel Polyana and the second one is new - from Alpika. You can take the Lastochka to the final station at Rosa Khutor, and from there it’s 5 minutes to the cable car. Or take a bus directly to Gazprom, but check with the drivers, because not all buses go there.

Or you can get there by your own car. But all parking is paid.

In the hall of the lower part of the complex there are rentals, changing rooms, sports shops such as Bosco, Bogner, etc., as well as storage rooms and decent clean toilets.

There is a large information board in the hall, where there is interactive map routes and data on the operation of all slopes and lifts. The same map is available online on the Gazprom website online

Gazprom Laura slopes and lifts

Upper platform ski center- Psekhako plateau - located at an altitude of 1435 m. And all the routes begin from the plateau itself. The plateau continues upward to Pikhtovaya Polyana at an altitude of 1660 m.

Gazprom's routes are located on the northwestern slopes of the Psekhako plateau. In order to get to the ski area, you first need to climb to the plateau on one of three gondola lifts, and there chairlifts and training ropes are already working to service the slopes.

The main lifts are gondola lifts. Two parallel ones for 8 people from the lower Gazprom station (A and A1). The ascent time to the top station is about 15 minutes.

And from the Rosa Khutor railway station you will be taken to Gazprom by the new A3 cable car, each gondola of which can accommodate up to 30 people. The most magnificent views open up from there. Therefore, you can arrange an additional excursion for yourself, going up, for example, to A3, and going down to A1.

If you chose the large cable car A3 for the ascent, it will take you to Pikhtovaya Polyana at an altitude of 1660 m above sea level. This is the most high point GTC Gazprom, from where you can already go down to the highways.

And already on the plateau, 4 and 6-seater chairlifts await you, as well as several rope tows on training tracks. Their speed is not high, as is the ability of many skaters to use them, so there may be queues on holidays and weekends.

Gazprom has 15 tracks of different difficulty levels, 5 of which are illuminated for evening skiing. The total length of the trails is about 20 km. Red and black traces F and G work only when large quantities snow. But if they work, then this is the best piste skiing in Krasnaya Polyana. And the remaining 13 trails are great for learning, lazy skiing, and taking photos before and after the bar.

Gazprom also offers evening skiing, which resort guests love for beautiful views and a romantic atmosphere. By the way, we also sometimes like to come to Gazprom in the evening, lazily drive along the highways, drink mulled wine and just have a good time. Don't forget that it is colder in the mountains in the evening, so dress warmly.

Food and relaxation

There are a variety of cafes and restaurants on Gazprom, but the general price level at the top is high. There are decent restaurants on the plateau, but quite expensive. If you want to save money, it is better to take a thermos and a snack with you.

After skiing, you have a unique opportunity to spend a lot of money. In the lobby of the lower line there are boutiques of elite sports brands Bogner, Escada sport, Goldwin, etc.

And this is the Galaxy shopping center next to the lower cable car station. There is a small water park with children's slides, open pool with mountain views, ice rink, night club, cinema, bowling, billiards and shops. There is also an interesting educational children's club on a space theme with various attractions. And even a remote controlled lunar rover. Here they are website

To sum it up, it’s good to go to Gazprom to study, drink mulled wine, put a friend on skis, spend money on fashionable mountain beach clothes. And if the black and red tracks are open, then it’s a good idea to carve, scaring newcomers who entered there by mistake.

Status open trails can be viewed in the widget in the upper right corner of the site, in the telegram channel gazprom_resort, or in the story of our Instagram account @gazprom_resort.

Two ski areas – “Laura” and “Alpika”

The Gazprom resort ski pass is valid for 2 ski areas at once! These are 35 tracks of all difficulty levels: green, blue, red, and black. For evening skiing, 12 illuminated trails with a total length of 12 km are open - real romance in the mountains!

Ski on Laura, Alpika or both slopes - it's up to you! Changing slopes with a ski pass is quite simple: the ski areas at the Gazprom resort are connected by ski lifts. From the lower station of the Alpika cable cars (located next to the Rosa Khutor railway station), you can go up to both Laura (on the A3 cable car, lift type 3S) and to Alpika (K1 cable cars -K5).

Riding on Laura

Laura- these are cozy trails of all levels, running among the fir forest on the Psekhako ridge. Laura is ideal for teaching beginners:

  • piste width up to 66 meters - comfortable and safe
  • near the mountain shelters "Psekhako" and "Pikhtovaya Polyana" there are children's training slopes of the "Morozko" school
  • qualified instructor services
Those who don't ride alpine skiing can ride on cross-country bikes! Mining tourist centre Gazprom is the only resort in Krasnaya Polyana that offers such a service. 7 km of trails on the territory of the famous Laura Ski and Biathlon Complex. At an altitude of 1500 meters: perfect “corduroy” for skating and an ideal track for classics. All around are the majestic peaks of the Main Caucasus Range!

There are two ways to get to the slope:

  • from the lower cable car station "Laura"(next to the bus stop public transport"Ski complex "Gazprom") the A/A1 cable cars go up the slope.
  • from the lower station of the Alpika cable cars(next to the Rosa Khutor railway station) the A3 cable car goes up the slope.

Alpine skiing

Alpika- a slope with an extreme atmosphere on the Aibga ridge. Avid riders can show their character and hone their riding skills on steep black and red slopes. It won’t be cramped or boring: on the wide slope routes with a height difference of 1154 meters there is room for maneuver!

You can get to the slope from lower cable car stationAlpika roads(next to the Rosa Khutor railway station) on the K1 - K5 lifts.

IN Krasnaya Polyana highway differ not only in the level of complexity, but also in their belonging to different cable car complexes. The resort has built 4 independent ski resort. Each of them is self-sufficient, has its own ski lifts, ski slopes and related infrastructure.

Quickly jump to the desired section:

Route map Krasnaya Polyana Rosa Khutor

The new complex with a distinct sports purpose will be of interest primarily to good skiers. The vast majority of slopes are marked blue. But one of the longest routes, starting almost at the very top of the ridge, belongs to a higher category of difficulty. In addition, an interesting slope with varied terrain provides opportunities for freeride.

Children and beginners will also enjoy Rosa Khutor. The ski slopes for beginners are quite long here. This allows you to make an interesting walk skiing even with minimal skiing skills. However, the green trails have a number of intersections with more difficult descents. Therefore, it is better for beginners not to travel alone.

You can feel safe and confident in the Children's Club. There is a convenient modern lift - the “magic carpet”. It resembles a familiar escalator and quickly takes children to the beginning of the slide. A professional instructor teaches children to ride. And at this time, parents have the opportunity to calmly conquer the Lesnaya highway.

Thus, Rosa Khutor is attractive to all categories of tourists.

Slopes for beginners are located at the top of the slope. There is a good level of snow here throughout the season. These routes of Krasnaya Polyana fenced, groomed with snowcats, illuminated at night and equipped with artificial snowmaking systems. Included Gazprom complex and slopes that will delight well-prepared skiers. Extended, quite complex and interesting, they go down to the very foot of the mountain. But due to the mild climate, there is not always enough snow on the lower sections of the descent. Typically black and red Gazprom routes open for skiing in February and March.

The sports and tourist complex "Mountain Carousel" is an Olympic facility. A large media village is being built, hotels, shopping and entertainment centers, sports grounds, etc. are being built. total area The Krasnaya Polyana ski slopes will cover 135 hectares and will be 70 km long. Vacationers are offered 6 green, 8 blue, 16 red and 6 black slopes.

In the 2010-2011 season, the complex included 3 lines of new cable car gondola type, serving several variants of slopes for well-prepared skiers. Since 2013, a lift to the foot of the Black Pyramid has been operating. A small slope where beginners can practice is located in the area of the second stage.

Complex Mountain Carousel attractive because it is located closest to the residential sector, in the village of Esto-Sadok, within walking distance of some hotels. However, the snow in this part of the ridge melts the fastest. Thus, most often only the topmost route, marked with a red difficulty level, is in good, skiable condition.

In the area of the lower station of the third stage of the cable car there is small area slope, equipped with drag lifts. They maintain a small track designed for beginners or learners. Under the second stage of the lift in the wooded part of the slope there is a blue trail. Below the first one is green. But due to the warm climate, they are rarely in acceptable condition for riding.

2. Control your speed.
It is no coincidence that there are car and ski tracks. On the slopes, as on the road, most collisions are caused by speeding. Namely, due to exceeding the threshold beyond which a skier or snowboarder can control this speed. Before you start moving and during the process, correctly assess your abilities, terrain features, weather and the density of loading of the slope by skiers. Reducing speed is necessary in crowded places, in narrow sections of the route, in poor visibility, on the edge of a steep slope, near ski lifts and at the end of the route.

3. Choose a route.
Just like on a highway, whoever is driving ahead has priority. Therefore, the skier or snowboarder behind must choose a trajectory that does not create any danger for those going down the slope. To do this, it is enough to maintain the distance necessary to perform any maneuvers, including a possible fall.

4. Overtaking.
When overtaking, it is also necessary to maintain a distance and maneuver at a distance sufficient for safety. The distance is necessary not only for overtaking moving skiers but also for avoiding vacationers.

5. Enter the highway, start driving and move up the slope.
Before you start moving and go onto the slope, look up and down the slope and correctly assess the situation, as well as your position relative to other skiers. Carving skis and snowboards allow you to move up the slope when turning, against the general movement. Snowboarders and skiers must be especially careful when performing such maneuvers.

6. Stopping on the highway.
Stopping on narrow or poorly visible sections of the route is prohibited (except in extreme situations). After a fall, it is necessary to leave this place as quickly as possible (if possible), without leaving anything on the slope. You can rest or walk only at the edge of the road.

7. Ascent or descent on foot.
Do not create obstacles for those riding. Walk only along the edge of the road. In addition, shoe prints spoil the slope and can cause traumatic situations.

8. Observe the route markings.
Before going out on the slope, check out the trail map. Do not go on slopes that do not correspond to your level of training. Do not ignore prohibitory signs or ride on closed trails.

9. Providing assistance in case of accidents.
In the event of an accident, riders are obliged to provide any possible assistance to the victims. For all athletes, one of the most important principles is the principle of cooperation and assistance in case of accidents, regardless of any legal obligations. In the event of an accident, it is necessary to provide first aid to the victim, notify the relevant services and somehow mark the scene of the incident to warn other riders.

10. Identification of participants in the incident.
Every skier or snowboarder who witnesses or participates in an incident is required to exchange contact information with other witnesses or participants. Only complete and accurate testimony from witnesses will help restore the picture of the incident. Rescue reports and photographs are of significant value in determining the extent of responsibility.

This week, after an almost six-year break (the old cable car closed for reconstruction on April 4, 2011), Alpika reopened. Now this ski area is part of the Gazprom State Transport Center. That is, Gazprom now has two separate ski areas - Laura (on the Psekhako ridge) and Alpika (on the Aibga ridge). Alpika is located between the resorts of Rosa Khutor and Gorki Gorod.

Since December 27, the routes have been operating in permanent mode (). Let's tell you what Gazprom has prepared for us at Alpika.

Unusual cable car

In fact, 3.5 years ago we already published. But then the cable car above 1500 meters had not yet been completed. Over the years, it has been completed, although so far only one branch - which is closer to Rosa Khutor.

The upper shelter of the Alpiki - "Shelter of the Winds" - was built higher than the previous level. Now new height resort "Gazprom" - 2256 meters. From the peak you can admire breathtaking panoramas with a 360° view, and in clear weather – even the Black Sea!

Let us briefly list the main differences of the cable car:
1) The cable car is a combined one, that is, both cabins and chairs can be hung on it at the same time.
2) Cable car stations are designed in such a way that you can climb without transfers from the very bottom to the top - the cabins pass through the station and go further. This is a very big plus - you won’t have to stand in line at every station.
3) The cabins are equipped with heated seats and lighting. All this runs on batteries, which are charged while the cabins are parked in the garage.
4) The height of the cabins is lower - it will not be easy for tall people to get in and out. Fans of riding with cameras on their helmets will especially suffer.

Combined gondola and chairlift

Trails

Photos of Alpine slopes with open this moment tracks. The cable car under construction is marked in green.

Scheme of tracks planned to open in the 2018 season

By pistes - at the resort this season only red and black tracks will be open at the Salymovsky Circus, that is, there is nothing special for beginners here. Later, a children's slope with a travelator and a children's club at an altitude of 1100 m should open, but the exact launch date is still unknown.

The maximum length of the continuous descent from the peak of 2256m to 1500m (from the peak along route 12, below the recess at 1918m along route 11) is about 3.6 kilometers. When the track opens for skiing to an altitude of 1100 meters, the length of the continuous descent will increase to 5 kilometers.

For reference: the length of route 12 according to GPS turned out to be 2.9 km, route 11 - 2.2 km.

The trails are comfortable, well prepared, and there are no very narrow sections. There are many places near the pistes where you can drive on unused snow.

View of the track from top station 2256m

Descent to 1500m, on the old Alpine they never wasted here and there were always hillocks.

Roll out to 1500m from Salymovsky Circus

Of course, in terms of piste skiing, even taking into account the opening of pistes up to a height of 1100m, Alpika this season will not compete with either Rosa Khutor (~100 km of pistes) or Gorki Gorod (~30 km of pistes), since this year it will open a little more than 7 kilometers of trails. But as a bonus for confident riders, the place is excellent. And there is a chance that there will be fewer people on the slopes here than at other resorts. This ski area will also allow Gazprom to extend the winter season.

Route below 1500m (former Troika)

Transfer between Alpika and other resorts

Since Alpika is one of the ski areas of the GTC Gazprom, a single ski pass for Alpika and Laura can already be purchased. The transfer from the Laura slopes to the Alpine slopes will take a little more than an hour; the logistics are simplified by the fact that the cable cars in these zones below are combined - at least it will be possible to do without vehicles.

In the second half of January, a single ski pass is expected to be introduced at all Krasnaya Polyana resorts. Therefore, moving between resorts will be relevant. The launch of the Tyrol cable car will make it easier to travel from the Alps to Rosa Khutor and back (it was already built for the Olympics, but was not in use after that). At the bottom, this cable car is combined with the Strela cable car of the Rosa Khutor resort, and takes you to the second stage of the Alpine Mountains to a height of 790 meters (although there you will have to walk a little up the hill).

Already appeared on the Rosa Khutor map this year new route Alpika, along which you can drive from the upper station of Alpika to the Southern slope of Rosa Khutor. But only in one direction. The way back is only on foot. We do not recommend traveling on foot without guides, and in general, before the launch of a single ski pass, moving between resorts is not economically feasible, since you will have to buy a second ski pass.

For reference, from Rosa Khutor (from the Aibga highway) to the top station of the Alpics you will have to walk about 1 kilometer; skiers will need about 15-20 minutes, snowboarders 30-60 minutes, depending on the snow condition.

Attention! When moving along the ridge, you must be careful, as there may be snow cornices in some places. .

Historical reference

Previously, the resort, which was located on the territory of the Alpika ski area, was called “Alpika-Service” (out of habit, many still call it that). It was founded in 1993, and the history of its creation can be read in the memoirs of Alexander Galkin, one of the investors - a few years ago he wrote a wonderful book, which describes the exciting history of the formation of the first ski resort in Krasnaya Polyana.

What the resort looked like before reconstruction.
