I was on vacation in a hotel with my husband and child for 7 years, I work as a travel agent, I often sent tourists to 5* and 4* hotels, and I decided to check the quality of the hotel on my vacation.

Check-in - we arrived at 21.45 and went straight to dinner. After dinner, we signed the completed form and went to our room. Room 1701 in a new building, everything is clean and new, wonderful beds, bathrobes in the closet, teapots... th set, large plasma and a wonderful view of the sea!

Food - I don’t understand tourists who have nothing to eat. The food is varied and very tasty, meat - beef and chicken in several varieties, rolls, seafood. Fruits: pomegranate, banana, oranges, tangerines, strawberries, melon. Delicious baked grapefruit for breakfast, donuts. I would like to highlight the smiling pizza guy and his delicious pizza, our child was delighted.

Beach - there are always towels for the beach and I didn’t see any problems, they were received at the entrance to the beach near the pools. The beach is very large, there is a place for everyone in the sun or in the shade, we came to the beach around 9 am, there were always plenty of free sun loungers, of course there are some that occupy the sun loungers, leaving towels and personal belongings, but they were not annoying. Entry into the sea from 3 pontoons, all of them in working order, we liked the shortest pontoon the most. There is also access from the shore for children, there are rocks, you need special shoes. The sea during this period was 23 degrees, I specially took a thermometer to measure the water temperature, it was very warm for us, we swam all day. The reef is average in terms of the number of fish.

There is animation - not intrusive, a couple of times the child was at a mini-disco, and once we went to a show with snakes, mostly we went for a walk in the city in the evening or went to IL Mercato.

Heated pools near the beach and in the neighboring 4*, sometimes we went for a swim. There is a great park with birds.

Everything is fine, we were lucky with the weather, only two days it was cool and the tide was low, the first time this happened in Egypt. Hotel: I liked the rooms, they were very clean and tidy. The beach is good. True, the sunbeds are already very old. There are no tables or anything in the restaurant outside. They clean and serve everything quickly, but what happened on the first day, all 11 are identical, not a single dish has changed... elk. Grill - only lula. Very poor food, everyone complained a lot. On the beach, to eat, you have to make an appointment every day, they only give you an hour of time. And it’s bad that the heated pool is a small puddle, 80 cm deep and near the reception desk. And the downside is that there are just a bunch of Arabs and Egyptians. But we were determined that we would have a good rest, and so we rested. Flights without delays, everything is fine. Everything was very good at the hotel, except that the pools were not heated. The hotel description says that they are heated, but in fact they are cold. When we were planning to go to this hotel, they said that there was a heated swimming pool on its territory, but it was not heated at that time, it was broken. This hotel is more suitable for family vacation with the kids. There are 3 entrances to the sea, everything is clean. Nice hotel, wonderful animators. The number of rooms was dead, there was a line in the dining room (it’s difficult to call this a restaurant), for the first time I saw how inedible sausage was given out in pieces on everyone’s plate. There is dirt everywhere, a glass is simply disgusting to hold in your hand (there are no straws), coffee (powder) is generally scary to drink!!! In the "restaurant" the birds are crap on... plates, a bar with empty bottles is something!!! The dust is unsanitary!!! The rooms stink of urine from previous guests!!! The first hotel where the administration yells at the guests and scolds them like first-graders!!! In general, we quickly changed the hotel... continued our vacation perfectly!!! For those who like it short. Give it a wide berth. It's better to add a couple of acres and take a better hotel. This is our second time at this hotel. The reason for the secondary choice is the beach and a more or less decent reef.

I'll start with check-in. Previously we offered to give a tenner for a better room. Now just give me twenty dollars and the room will be excellent. As a result they brought... to a small room on the ground floor. In the bathroom the lining is broken and hanging. The air conditioner only rattles and does not cool; the refrigerator is broken and not in the closet, but nearby. They demanded another one right away, but for the bucks they received they had to exchange it. In general, the number was sorted out. Only the hood in the bathroom is constantly buzzing loudly.

No one cleaned the room, they just smeared the floor. But they simply extorted the dollar. Either they don't bring water or towels. Give me a dollar and things will go well. And when checking out, the bellhop pulled his paw again. I didn't give it to him. So he called the reception and said that we broke the cup. Although it was cracked in the room from the very beginning. At the reception they stole a dollar from penny pinchers. The bellhop did not have time to smear the floor and was already running - everything was fine. If you said okay, give me a dollar and it won’t come off. They climb brazenly. We didn’t see this even in the same hotel last year. They offered me a chocolate bar and flatly refused, like I needed money.

Another new addition to the hotel concept was the charge of 50 bucks for the loss of a bracelet. Initially, they didn’t fasten my bracelet well and didn’t cut the tail. In general, on the second day we came from the old city and at the entrance we discovered that the bracelet was missing. You're seething at the reception. You have big problems. Pay 50 bucks. No, I say friends, charter and go home. I had your bracelet and Egypt together. True, the wife, with persuasion and a connected guide from the anex, closed the problem without loss. The mood dropped and was constantly on alert. All the time I checked on the spot a piece of plastic for half a hundred bucks or a big problem.

Well, the canteen they call a restaurant is a separate issue. If you close your eyes or look at the ceiling, you will be full. There seems to be plenty of food, but the quality is terrible. It's undercooked, it's overcooked. If something is more or less edible, then there is a queue. That’s how we once coveted the line for seafood. Result: On the sixth day of rest, we didn’t leave the room for a day. Both had terrible poisoning. It was good that we had medicines with us. And when asked who will compensate us for this, there is a stupid smile and the answer is no one.

Many people say we are coming from overseas and the rest is nonsense. No guys, the holiday consists of this entire complex called all inclusive. But it turns out that after paying 1,200 killed hedgehogs, you continue to pay extra locally. If you add up all the extra expenses, I regret that I didn’t listen to our travel agent. She offered Rixos for $1,700. We felt that Egypt was not worth the money. But it turned out the other way around.

Beach towels are also a theme. Once we received them, we could no longer change them. No, you can submit it in the evening. But what time will you receive it in the morning and will it be enough? The Internet is only in the lobby and is weak. When the leaves fall, there are mosquitoes - you need to kill the zakhist. The day is short - the sun sets early - just like in Ukraine. The bedchambers of the great Ukrainians. The food is disgusting - fish, chicken, cowhide, and even pork. Just a cake and a pastry of extra licorice. Powdered juices. Room 1814 with a view of the pool and the sea has everything so... And ask for a replacement - the mattress is torn, the bathtub is cracked. Tidying up is purely symbolic - people pass by and the bed changes. The sea is beautiful, warm, with a lot of fish that you can play with all the time and never get tired of. When the leaves fall in Sharm, the weather is perfect for recovery.

We chose not so much a hotel as a windless bay, since we had a negative experience with the Rehana Hotel. And the hotel itself was recommended by a travel agent. We got it right with the bay - in the first half of November there was no wind, a couple of times there were waves near the shore, and at the edge of the pontoon there was a slight swaying on the waves - with a mask there were no problems at all. I don’t think this is the most chic reef to experience... a strong diver, but the rest have something to see, there are many types of fish, but I wouldn’t say in terms of quantity. There is a stingray, moray eel, slate sea urchin, starfish, tridacna and all sorts of different fish - if you ask “Fishes of the Red Sea” in Google, then in the pictures that open you will see inhabitants, almost all of which are in this bay. Sailing away from the pontoons, you will see a brighter reef.

The hotel itself - I won’t say that it’s 5 stars, that it’s chic - but if you don’t look into every corner and every crack, stock up on a good mood, then everything will be fine! Don't find fault with little things - and you will be happy.

The downside is the cleaning. Or rather, its almost complete absence. Young guys are cleaning - well, you understand)) We decided not to bother ourselves with all this - but it seems that in 9 days our bed was not changed)) Somehow they will sweep, make the bed, hang the towels evenly - and that’s enough for you)

Fruits - pomegranates, melon, grapes, dates, guava, oranges. In the evening, ice cream in packs every day. Food is not “mother’s” - you need to understand this. But everyone will find something tasty for themselves and will not remain hungry.

There are also restaurants that you need to sign up for at the Grill Bar upon arrival. We were in three - Fish, Mexican and Italian. When you sign up, you must immediately select your main dish. I liked the restaurants - be sure to go.

Drinks are some kind of mumbo jumbo, like everywhere else in similar hotels. I don’t know how many revolutions - but there is no hop in the head at all, neither from wine, nor from beer, nor from the type of whiskey or tequila. And little redneck glasses. The hotel is located on a very beautiful rock, there is a place to take pictures. But the downside is that the descent to the sea is a bit difficult, although it won’t hurt to jog after a heavy meal. There are stairs and just an inclined descent, there is an elevator to the sea, and they also bring cars. The main beach is sandy, but there are also niches in the rock with sun loungers. There are few sunbeds, not enough during rush hour. Beach towels too. If you didn’t pick it up at 8 a.m., it was a lost cause.

Three pontoons of different lengths and a sandy entrance for the kids to splash around. They took corals but never used them. We didn’t walk in shallow water, we swam from pontoons - so there was no need for slippers. The sun sets early - at 16.00. Therefore, you need to come to the beach at about 7 am to catch the warmth longer.

From animation - during the day everyone will find something for themselves if desired - dancing by the pool, and yoga, and water polo, and darts, and tennis and table tennis, and in the evening live music and show program. This didn't happen before. We had room 3620 in building 36 on the second floor. In the hotel, odd numbers are on the first floor, even numbers are on the second floor. Almost all rooms on the second floor of buildings 16-22, 34-36 have a partial sea view - pay extra for sea ​​view not worth it. The room has relatively new furniture, a new 32” TV (2 Kyiv + 2 Moscow channels), an old refrigerator and poor cooling. The bathroom has a bidet and a sit-down 3-corner bathtub. Room 5 is coal and small - it’s difficult to fit a 3rd bed. The beds are soft, the linen is white and fresh. The latch on the front door did not work (it was repaired) and the lock on the right wing of the balcony door (it was simply blocked). I was surprised by the presence of a 2nd washbasin in the hallway of the room. The room is quiet (we asked for this at the reception for $20). Hairdryer, air conditioning and safe worked properly. The main restaurant has a bar where you can order your own drinks instead of waiting for a waiter. Always freely available: coffee, tea, hot and cold water + 3 chemical “juices”. You won't go hungry - there are different dishes for lunch and dinner every day. The problem with visiting a la carte restaurants is that you need to make an appointment 4-6 days in advance. We were only able to visit Italian restaurant at the main pool - nothing special. Weather The first 3 days were very hot - 37-38 degrees. during the day and without wind. By the time you get to your room or to the restaurant, you’re all wet (it was especially unpleasant to go to the reception and back when the room card didn’t work). The weather was the same on 09/30/18. Sea – 28-30 degrees. Storms and big waves there was no, because the hotel is located in the bay. Animation There is exercise, water aerobics, boccia, and darts. Hi all! We arrived early in the morning and, surprisingly, were immediately seated. We got a room on the first floor with an amazing view of the coast. Cleaning was done daily and quite efficiently. We had no complaints. The food here was varied, everyone can find something tasty and delicious for themselves. For breakfast there is oatmeal, muesli, yoghurt, fruit salad, different kinds cheeses, baked goods. Eggs are prepared in front of you and according to your wishes with different fillings. They make very tasty pancakes. There is also ful and tameya - this is a very favorite food among Egyptians, be sure to try it if you are at the hotel! The waiters and bartenders are very welcoming and friendly. The sea is amazing and warm. We had a great time!

Well, when they did, they first started extorting money. To be honest, we gave in because the location of the room was very seductive. Building 30, overlooking the sea, and close to everything. But there is an amphitheater nearby, where music plays until 11 and you can hear it all perfectly. This did not bother us, but if you are traveling with small children, this is probably a minus. The room is in good condition. The cleaner brought a bottle of water every day. But they didn't clean it very well. Firstly, not every day, and secondly, he did not always wash the floor. And after leaving a tip, nothing, alas, changed. About the food. In the main restaurant, all the delicious things are served on the veranda. That is, they fry meat, chicken, and fish in front of you, and also prepare macaroni and pasta with different sauces. Everything was delicious. The side dishes were somehow worse, the vegetables were all weathered. Not the largest selection of cakes. But I really liked the breakfasts. They serve very tasty cheese there, and more than one type. Regarding the dishes. Somehow they didn’t wash it very well, there were always cups and glasses with stains. The main pool, next to which there is a pool bar and a deep bar (inside the pool), is the largest and always has a lot of people. They also pass there animation programs. Even though the pool is cleaned, it instantly becomes dirty, because the children are constantly going crazy there from morning to evening. This pool also has big slide. The second pool is located closer to the beach, that is, one level down, next to the spa center. There are very few people there, everything is quiet and calm, there is a small slide for very young children. Next to it there is a grill house. About the sea. There are three pontoons. The one on the left, if you look at the sea, is long and very slippery, as it is made of boards under water, and they are all overgrown with silt. From it, swim to the left, because there is nothing to do on the right. And the further you sail, the more beautiful it will become. Among the fish we saw a napaleon, two huge baracudas, a stingray, clown fish and much more. There were no lionfish, nor moray eels. It was upsetting. About entertainment. The animation is good, almost all are Russian, very funny. There are good shows in the evenings, but they are repeated every week. After the show, everyone is invited to go to a club in the city. We wanted to, but there weren't enough people. Like, only 5-6 people leave. The hotel club is basically normal, but the music is repeated every day. We also went from the tour operator to ride quads with the Bedouins. They took a lot of money from us for this. To save money, you can buy the same excursion from the guys on the beach. In this case, reviews were written by probably 90 percent who were on holiday abroad for the first time, which is where the rating of 4.4 actually comes from, and then people like me read that everything seems to be fine and the price is ridiculous, and then they curse the day they took a ticket to such a hotel

Now about the hotel itself. Having been here, I got the idea that 5* hotels should be divided into subcategories, that is, if it’s like 5*, then you also need to put a number next to it to understand where you’re going, because 5* is the same thing, you know, it’s doubtful whether it’s 5 or not 5 So, this second rating would be 3-. We paid 700-750 $ for 9 nights for two. It’s better to pay an extra $100-200, even if it’s for 7 days, but it’s okay to relax in good hotel. We flew there and back three hours later.
I won’t complain about the room, everything worked, it was cleaned, surprisingly nothing was torn, the furniture was shabby, but we chalk it up to the fact that this is Egypt. The downside of the room is that if at the very peak of the heat, at one or two in the afternoon, you want to take a cool shower, then roll up your lip, because the water from the tap is hot and very hot. Food...We found ourselves in Ramadan (for those who don't know, google it). In the first two or three days we began to see clearly. Rice is dry and hard (this is the same dish), half-raw potatoes, chicken, beans, something else, it was impossible to eat sweets, fruit. And this is all very, very sad. We are in Egypt for the third time, and we have been in other countries in fours, believe me, we have seen much better. When Ramadan ended, it started... it turns out they can cook something else! Pizza, fish, liver, spaghetti and a kilometer-long queue. What's the point? Ramadan ended on June 4 and it was from that day that locals flocked to this hotel! I’ve just never seen so many of them in my life. Ukrainians and Russians are arrogant, ill-mannered and pigs??? Yes, sure! It’s good that we were leaving on 6, and on that very day, while we were waiting at the reception for the transfer, a lot of them arrived (see photo)
The weather is also just terrible, I don’t know how people go there on vacation in the summer? It's 40 degrees there at night!
Beach... to get there you have to walk about 10 minutes, depending on where your room is. In general, not bad, three pontoons are very good, this is really a plus for them. The water is warm, but stormy in the morning. The downside is the sun loungers. Do you want to find him to be normal? Don’t look, maybe 1 out of 10 you’ll find (see photo) We visited the a la carte Grill House and Fish market, better than the main “restaurant”

Beverages. Gin with the smell of acetone, beer, an incomprehensible liquid similar to beer, my husband drank rum and cola, but it wasn’t that great either. The wine is disgusting, I've never drunk worse in my life.

Animation is a separate issue, no animation, no talking. Everything happens only in the heat and only by the pool, sometimes they do something in the evening. Dinner from 19.00, animation at 22.00. The question is, if at 7 pm you ate in half an hour, what should you do for another 2.5 hours?
It’s true that the staff doesn’t understand anything in Russian. She explained to one of them what rum and cola is, without exaggeration.
We went to the pyramids from the anex tour. Instead of the promised 5 hours of travel in a comfortable bus with a toilet and the Internet, we got at least 8 hours of travel, if I can’t go to the toilet at all and only for a small one. Internet? What are you talking about, we’re driving through the desert and the connection disappears, and I almost twisted it at my temple. We drove through the desert at two o'clock in the afternoon, that is, the peak of the heat, the air conditioning simply could not cope. For a minute, in the Dominican Republic the anex tour bus is many times better, more comfortable and actually has internet. If you are planning to go to the pyramids in advance, be aware, do not pay extra for camels!!! You won’t have free time, they stupidly drag you in the heat to places where you can take pictures with the pyramids in the background and that’s all. You won't be able to go where you want. If you really want to ride camels, take a separate excursion with ATVs, it will be more interesting. Just keep in mind that if you take ATVs from a tour operator, it’s only a chain ride!
Pancakes on the beach, I was shocked. We skipped lunch and decided to at least eat pancakes, because there was really nothing else. There are pancakes, but there are no utensils to eat, eat with your hands, comrades, as they say.
Also about the excursion to the pyramids, but that’s all for the hotel. The packed lunch we were promised. Two sandwiches, a cucumber, a tomato and 0.5 liters of water, to take more - buy it!!! Is this normal at all? Where have you seen this in 5* hotels???
All in all cheap hotel matches the service, food and everything else. A lot of people came for the first time to see what it was and walked around in delight with their mouths open (and then the rating was 4.4). The man personally told me that the buffet was gorgeous and he was very pleased with everything! What a surprise he was when I said that this was nothing compared to others. The Royal Grand Sharm hotel has a rating of 4.37. Why is this 4.4????? Everything is much better there, food, program, beach, service, pool, water at the bar can be taken in unlimited quantities! People, be realistic!
I recommend it to those who are traveling for the first time and categorically do not recommend it to those who know what a real all inclusive is.
