Vietnam Nha Trang Vien Dong 3 stars. What is personal data

Very good hotel.
We vacationed in Nha Trang in April 2017.
First, I'll tell you about the hotel:
1. The hotel's location is very good - on the second line at the very beginning of the European quarter. There are a lot of cafes/restaurants, shops, markets nearby.
2. Public BEACH is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. We leave the hotel, turn left and straight along the road to Lotus (local landmark), and then either right for another 5-10 minutes across the square to the equipped beach, or left - 2-3 minutes. We went to the right, because there are large umbrellas - for 3-4 people. But on the left there are fewer people, and sometimes they even disperse those who came to lie on a towel. The cost of 1 sun lounger under an umbrella is 40-50 thousand dong.
We also went to Central Park (Gorky Park). You can walk there – 25-30 minutes. But we went by bus (fare 7 thousand dong one way), because... It's quite hard to walk in the heat. On the territory of Central Park there are different beach areas (VIP and standard) and several swimming pools of varying depths, restaurants and bars. Sunbeds from 80 to 120 thousand dong depending on the location (see photo). The very minimum is 80 thousand dong for a sun lounger on Standard beach. By 9 am all the sunbeds here are occupied. By the pool, a sun lounger with an eco-mattress and a towel – 100-120 thousand dong. Very cool place! There is a beach and a swimming pool here. Shower and toilet are available. You can sit under palm trees (but beware of coconuts!). But if you are going to this beach, then it will be for the whole day. There is no point in walking/driving so far and only until lunchtime. Yes and expensive. You can have lunch in the park at a kebab shop (get a discount at the Russian Information Center– hereinafter referred to as RIC), and outside the territory – there are many cafes.
3. THE HOTEL is very good!
The rooms were deluxe. Large rooms with 2 beds and a balcony. The room has a large wardrobe, dressing table, tea corner (kettle, tea, coffee, water), refrigerator with minibar, safe, air conditioning, bathroom with bathtub, bath amenities, hairdryer. The view from the rooms is either of the pool/sea or of the road. Of course, there is no sea view (see photo). It’s better not to take license plates for the road, because... very noisy. Cleaning is done daily, everything is clean, nothing to complain about, tea/coffee/water and bathroom amenities are updated every day.
4. The hotel has its own TERRITORY, and this is a rarity in Nha Trang. There are 2 swimming pools on this territory - for adults and for children. The large pool has a constant depth of 2m. This is very inconvenient, because... you always have to stay on the water - i.e. neither stand nor gurgle. The depth of the children's pool is 0.8 m. There are many sunbeds under umbrellas, and a mattress will be provided upon request. Next to the pools there is a large children's area with various climbing frames and a trampoline. Located here GYM. He's just awesome!!! Lots of different exercise machines, decent cardio area. There are usually no people. If you are exercising, be sure to take your uniform with you! No problem, of course, you can buy everything here - because it’s cheap (I did just that, because I didn’t know about the presence of a gym). There is also a bar by the pool. There is also a restaurant in a separate building.
5. BREAKFASTS are delicious. But they are more designed for the Chinese (of which there are sooooo many here!). If you are used to porridge, cottage cheese for breakfast and other tasty treats, there will be a problem. I always ate eggs, toast and pancakes. There is more than enough heavy food (potatoes, meat, rice, soup, etc.) here. Also various sausages and cheese. And the coolest thing is peanut butter! I highly recommend toasted toast with pasta and banana to everyone. Mind blowing! They also give various fruits (watermelon, pineapple, bananas, “dragon heart”, etc.).
By the way, there are a lot of Chinese in this hotel. I advise you to come for breakfast as early as possible. At 7 am, a crowd of Chinese rushes in and destroys everything in its path. And the Chinese, as you know, do not move alone - only in flocks. No, the food is, of course, updated. But crowds of Chinese, noise, din - it’s not very pleasant to have breakfast like that.

In general, the hotel is very good! Definitely worth the money. We never regretted that we went here, even if it was for three people for 2 rooms deluxe tour it turned out to be 180 thousand rubles. for 12 nights.

That's all about the hotel. Now I’ll tell you what you can do (see map with marks in the photo).
THE WEATHER here is very unpredictable. According to reports, there are only 4 days of rain in April. And it seems that they all happened during our vacation. It rained for 3 days, on the 4th it was cloudy, the sea was stormy, but we went to the beach and managed to get sunburned while relaxing under umbrellas and with protection 50+! In general, the sun here is hellish! Not at all like in other Asian countries. Therefore, buy creams with protection of at least 50+, and for children generally 90+ (creams with such protection can be bought locally).
EXCHANGE money at the “Treasures of Angkor” (next to the RIC on the 2nd line). Take bills of $50-100 - the rate is more favorable.
Cafes and restaurants. There are a great many of them here! It all depends on your preferences and wallet. Take a card from RIC, it shows several restaurants and discounts for them (there is also a card bus routes and schedule). We didn’t go to the vaunted Grill Garden because... We don’t know how to grill seafood. Of course, you can go for fun. Seafood is available in every restaurant. Like Russian food - almost everywhere.
FRUITS. There is a good inexpensive point of several shops at the intersection of the 3rd line from the beach and the 2nd street from the hotel. Mango from 25 thousand VND. They also make amazing smoothies starting from 15 thousand dong (by the way, in a cafe they cost 30-50 thousand dong - the same smoothies).
EXCURSIONS were taken at RITs (print out coupons from the website - $1 discount for each tour, prices can be found there). They didn’t take anything from Anex, we absolutely didn’t like the guide’s approach at the information meeting, when she pulled out leaflets with prices from other travel agencies and demonstratively began waving them in front of our noses, saying that it’s all a scam, don’t take anything from them, take only from us , we are better, safer, etc.
Of the attractions we went only to sightseeing tour- because of the heat it is very difficult, for example, to climb 153 steps to the Buddha. But I advise you to go! Cape Hon Chong is amazingly beautiful!
We took an excursion to Doklet beach - a paradise beach (see photo). The beach is very cool: blue calm sea, White sand. I advise you to take a tour rather than go yourself. The bus schedule is inconvenient for relaxing on the beach - you need to leave the hotel either at 6:30 in the morning, or already at 9. The stop is not clear where. The drive is about an hour. A regular bus will not take you all the way to the beach, i.e. You will have to walk another 20-30 minutes. And it’s not a fact that you will be allowed on this particular beach. But with a $20 excursion they will take you to this very place. snow-white beach(territory of the White Sand hotel), they will provide free sunbeds/umbrellas, they will also feed you fruit, water/cola/rum - all inclusive. And also + lunch. The only thing, in my opinion, is an absolutely useless stop at a temple and a fishing village on the way to the beach - just a waste of time. Other travel agencies, by the way, only offer excursions to the beach - without the temple.
We also took a tour " Southern Islands+ Fr. Khon Tam” - I also recommend it to everyone! We came across an adequate guide and suggested we change the excursion a little: first go to Hon Tam (they take you by boat to the hotel territory: there is an equipped beach, multi-level swimming pools, a large area, a bar, etc., everything is beautiful, equipped - class!), because that at 11-12 o'clock the Chinese come in crowds, and if we arrive after lunch, as planned, then there will be neither space on sunbeds nor just a place to rest. Then they take you to another island for lunch and then snorkeling (masks are provided). Also included are fruit/water/cola/rum.
We went to the entertainment island of Vinpearl ourselves, bought tickets at RIC - you can buy them on the spot, but the ticket is only valid for a day. That is, having bought at RIC, you can go to the island any day. Lucky to the island cable car. You can get there by bus number 4. Drive about 20 minutes to the final stop (stop on the 3rd line there, back on the 2nd line next to the RIC - see the map in the photo). Work starts at 8:30. It’s better to go to the opening itself, again because of the Chinese! I advise you to go on an electric sled first, because... then you won't get there until the evening. On the territory of Vinpearl there are attractions, an aquarium, a dolphinarium, a water park, a beach, a 4D cinema, slot machines. All in all, a good place, but nothing unusual - you can visit for show. I advise you to watch a dolphin show - only once a day at about 14:00 (20 minutes in total). You will be delighted! We didn’t stay for the fountain show (at 7 pm) - we were very tired from the whole day in the heat. There are many cafes on the territory, but you can take something to eat with you - no one checks.
We also went with Anex on a free shopping tour “coffee, leather, jewelry” - a waste of time.
SHOPS and MARKETS. Nha Trang is a shopper's paradise. There are a lot of shops here! And the prices are just ridiculous. For example, I bought high-quality Adidas/Nike sneakers for 400 thousand dongs (1000 rubles), the same models in Russia cost from 3 thousand rubles. The Night Market is located not far from the hotel. Opening hours: daily from 18:00. Be sure to bargain! The sneakers were initially offered for 700 thousand VND. In principle, the same things can be bought for the same amount in a store (without haggling), but not in the European quarter - i.e. need to look outside. Take a walk north of the hotel. For those interested in ski suits, we found several sports shops in the European quarter: at the intersection of the 2nd line from the beach and the 2nd street from the hotel, the Sport Master store (in the back of some grocery store), a store next to the Cosmos restaurant and a store opposite the Liberty Hotel, more one store at the intersection of the 3rd line from the beach and the 3rd street from the hotel (see map). There is also a Sport Master department in the Maximart shopping center.
There is also a shopping center nearby Nha Trang(on the 1st line), but we liked Maximart more.
We bought coffee on the 3rd line, but didn’t buy it from Viet Farm because... it turned out to be more expensive even with all the discounts (see roasting yourself). We bought tea, cosmetics, and souvenirs at the Sapphire store (also on the 3rd line).
You can take fruit with you in a basket, pack it and put it in your luggage (we carried it in a suitcase, there was room) - people got everything safe and sound. The only thing: they took a long time to check at customs, which is why the baggage delivery was delayed.

In general, Nha Trang is a good place to relax. But I probably won’t go to this place a second time. It’s a very noisy and bustling town - you want to relax :) But you need to go to Doc Let or Cam Ranh in a 5*, take an all-inclusive and not bother)

We've been to this hotel 4 times already! A beautiful hotel, good location, good breakfast, cozy rooms (we stayed in a deluxe room three times, and once in an economy room). The big minus is that for the last three years, groups of children have been brought to the pool on weekends for about three hours in the morning (apparently for training), so the pool cannot be used. And after they bathe, the color of the water changes….so that you don’t even want to swim. The sea is relatively close (you just have to cross the road). The rooms are cleaned every day, quite clean. Every day they bring to your room: two bottles of water, tea and coffee bags. In general, everything is worthy.

Review of Vien Dong Hotel 3 in Nha Trang resort

The Vien Dong Hotel in Vietnam has three stars and is very popular among Russian tourists. This is due to its convenient geographical location in Nha Trang and affordable prices. Guests are offered a high level of service and the opportunity to relax in civilized conditions.

The Vien Dong Hotel is located on the second line of distance from the beach, that is, at a distance of 200-1000 meters. Moreover, it is located relatively close to the city center. There is a convenient transport interchange, which allows you to easily get to any point in Nha Trang and Vietnam. Nearby there are a number of shops and supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, bus stops and other places that may come in handy while in Nha Trang. The airport can be reached in just 40-50 minutes.

The hotel itself has four floors and perfectly accommodates tourists with different levels of requests. The number of rooms is 102 rooms. The staff speaks fluent Russian, English and Vietnamese.

Location of Vien Dong Hotel on the map of Nha Trang

About the rooms

Vien Dong Hotel has only three types of rooms:

  • Second class rooms (located on the ground floor, overlooking the hotel grounds).
  • First class rooms (pool or city view).
  • Superior rooms ( big size rooms, modern furniture and equipment, increased level of comfort).

All rooms are quite spacious and well furnished. There is a section for smoking and non-smoking guests. Some of them have a terrace or balcony. Guests are also provided with the following:

  • TV;
  • Air conditioner;
  • Telephone;
  • Access to the Internet.

The room also contains a double bed or two single beds, a wardrobe, a mirror, a bathroom, a table, a chair and a nightstand. If necessary, you can additionally add a baby cot or folding bed. However, it is recommended to warn about this in advance.

Additional services

Vien Dong Hotel offers its guests a whole complex additional services. Breakfast is already included in the price, but you can additionally order lunch and dinner. If necessary, it is possible to use the safe, which is located at the reception desk. Dry cleaning and laundry services are available during the day. There is a currency exchange office on the territory of Vien Dong, which is very convenient since you don’t have to look for a bank branch. The hotel provides babysitting services, a gift shop, and a business center where you can rent a conference room for events.

It is worth noting that renting a conference room does not include coffee breaks and the provision of branded pens and notepads. The projector and water will also need to be ordered separately.

It is possible to rent a car for unhindered travel around the state of Vietnam. A travel agency that works at the hotel can offer the services of a professional guide. Thus, it will be possible to get acquainted with local population and its customs. And you can also see the real Nha Trang and Vietnam, and not the one that appears to tourists.

It is worth noting that ordering excursions directly from the hotel will be much cheaper than through a third-party travel agency.

The hotel has a bar and restaurant where you can try European, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. There is a separate seafood menu.

Entertainment options include a sauna, swimming pool, massage, steam room, karaoke, tennis and billiards. There is a separate children's pool staffed by a professional lifeguard. He is ready to accept help if he sees that it is needed.

There is paid parking. Transfers from the airport or train station are available for an additional fee.

This hotel also has a sun terrace and a beautiful garden. The beach is literally across the street.
