We celebrated New Year’s Eve like this for 2 years, we went to Tesko lotus, bought the necessary products (on the first New Year’s Eve celebration we even made herring under a fur coat) and vodka with herring)) we met New Year’s Eve very cordially and without unnecessary headaches. In places with large crowds of people on the night from December 31 to January 1, it’s really not particularly safe.
The weather is most favorable, both for beach holiday and for active pastime. In the period from November to May, the so-called holiday season in Phuket begins, but this year there was a tropical downpour for 3 days in a row, but even the Thais don’t remember that there was rain in January, which is more typical for September, but this is rather an exception, than the rule. According to my observations, if it rains, it is either at night or in the late afternoon.
When planning a trip, keep in mind that on New Year’s, the price tag for both hotels and air tickets increases by at least 2.5-3 times compared to other periods (November-May). I can’t say anything about tour packages; we always traveled on our own.
Every time I leave this stunning country, I toss a coin; this year was my 4th trip. I am sure that I will return to this island more than once.
How does celebrating the New Year in Phuket differ from the same at home? Only the absence of snow and cold. All other attributes of the main festival of the year can be found here.
