I, my husband and daughter had a rest.
I, my husband and my daughter 2.8 rested from 11/21/13 to 12/12/13 (21 days).
I want to immediately make a reservation that I am writing a review as a mother of a 2-year-old child! This is not my first time in this country; this is already my second vacation with a child (though not in this country) and therefore I have impressions of the vacation. And perhaps if I went to this hotel with a girlfriend, alone with my husband, or with a cheerful company, the impressions would be different, since I would not care about a restful sleep at lunchtime, at night, routine, food and comfort!
The flight from Moscow took place during the day, my daughter played, walked around the plane, watched cartoons (the tablet saved the day), while she got something to drink and eat, she slept for 2 hours, then they gave her a set of games in a box and that’s it... boarding. We flew on a Transaero Boeing 747 and took seats on the 2nd floor for business there and back at an additional cost. The flight back was delayed for 2 hours, the flight was at 22, this was her time to sleep and she slept the entire flight. But changing time zones was very difficult for a child. It seems to me that children under one year old can bear it easier, but older children were pitiful to look at - exhausted, swollen, pale, with sleep-deprived eyes, they fell asleep at dinner right at the tables. Ours was the same, we couldn’t sleep at night for 3-4 days normally, both upon arrival there and upon returning home. At home, I only slept the first night today, December 19th, and we arrived on the 13th! We decided not to torment the child any longer and look for an alternative, or the possibility of a summer vacation (due to the specifics of the job, the husband cannot)
Upon arrival in Punta Cana. There was no queue, we let the child skip the line. Was ordered private transfer from the airport... this is where the mood began to deteriorate in anticipation of the vacation. And the vacation was long-awaited!!! We made a mistake and the transfer was not provided. The child passed out at the airport as soon as we received the stroller and we were traveling on a shared bus. It’s good that there weren’t many people and the ride took 30 minutes. But this does not apply to the hotel. We were at the hotel at 4 am Moscow time, in the DR at 20-00 respectively. We booked a room in Bavaro marked for the 2nd-3rd floor and with an additional payment for a superior room according to the agreement. Placement took 20-30 minutes. They delivered it to room number 71. Honestly, I haven’t felt such a shock for a long time. As soon as they opened the door, a terrible smell of mold hit my nose, there was a huge mosquito sitting on the floor, heaps of dead midges, mold was visible on the walls and ceiling of the bathtub and under the air conditioner. This view of the room and the fatigue made me want to cry and go back home! I laid my sleeping daughter on the bed and the blanket smelled HORRIBLY (this is not a quibble) of mold and everything seemed damp. And then the adjacent door opens and a girl from our plane comes in, they were checked into the next room and we were separated by an adjacent door, the audibility was colossal, I heard what they were saying not loudly. My husband went to the reception twice and talked to us so that we could be moved at least to spend the night in normal conditions. While he spent 3 hours sorting it out, no matter how hard I tried, the child and I were bitten by mosquitoes. At 7 am Moscow time we were transferred to a Premier hotel room, which is an order of magnitude cheaper than Bavaro, quite far from the sea on the 3rd floor of building 53. But it was many times better quieter and calmer than this anthill of Bavaro, as it turned out later. Only the next day, after 2 pm, we were able to move to Bavaro in building 30, number 311. 5 minutes walk to the sea and 5 minutes to the restaurant. With a small child, this is convenient, since movement is mainly in a stroller, either on foot or on dad’s neck. We took a delivery service a couple of times, but while you wait, you’ll get there faster on your own. And there is still a possibility that there will be no free space.
Comment to the previous review: “The hotel is huge and there are a lot of people. But I don’t understand the people who are indignant here - when you bought tickets, did you even know that there were 4 large hotels on the same territory? I think they knew, so why are you whining now that there are a lot of people it was, it was your choice of hotel!
Read in full at http://www.tophotels.ru/main/viewrate/?id=870330"
I was in a similar hotel and the areas were even larger! Not only in this country, but also in other countries, and this is the first time I have encountered such a situation! I read reviews about the hotel who vacationed with children. I repeat once again that I am not whining, but I am indignant at the fact that when booking the hotel, all the conditions were discussed, notes were sent and the hotel confirmed everything, therefore, I believe that they could have immediately offered an alternative, since by the time we arrived on November 21, the hotel had not yet been so crowded, let's say in 5 days! Well, I couldn’t understand why not offer an alternative right away, knowing that all the good rooms were already occupied, even in the Premiere (they were offered only after 3 hours of communication at the reception), or even with an additional payment in Esmeralda, seeing that there was a family with a small child , we were the only ones at the reception with the baby. On the issue of communication, my husband spoke fluent English.
Okay, the vacation started on the second day.
The ROOM is nice, spacious, large bed and sofa, plasma TV, ironing board, minibar, everything in the bathroom is in working order - plumbing and hair dryer. We mainly needed water and beer for my husband, at the very beginning they reminded us a couple of times to replenish the minibar, then the cleaning lady herself clarified whether they had brought it or not. I'll add a photo of the number. Of the minuses, I can only note small, fast running ants, so nothing was left on the tables and food for the child was stored in the refrigerator. When cleaning, they spray with insect repellent spray, the smell remains disgusting if you are lucky enough to get into the room right away. It didn’t help for long - by evening the ants were all in place. Cleaning is 5+, every day, regardless of tips, everything is great. Towels are changed, the floor is washed, the bathroom is cleaned, the bed is made, the mini bar is replenished. A fairy tale!) Due to the child’s routine, they often left a “do not disturb” sign until lunchtime. But the audibility is terrible, the doors of the rooms only slam with a roar, it is impossible to close them quietly, conversations can be heard, the cleaning ladies like to shout at each other from neighboring houses, communicating with each other. This is what I mean relaxing holiday at lunch! The child was asleep, of course, but it was annoying. Then we found a calm, windless place on the beach and put him in the stroller for an afternoon nap. We went to bed at night at 21-22, often at 23 we received a phone call from the guest service with questions, the guide or electricians knocked on the door to see if everything was fine with us (the do not disturb sign was ignored). And you can’t sleep at lunchtime and there’s no rest at night! And by the end of the month, some kind of summer season began - for three days they mowed the lawns, blew away the leaves, and there were vehicles collecting garbage. Noise, bustle... it didn’t even smell like paradise!
The TERRITORY is large and green, with beautiful green lawns, palm trees, and flowers. But everything is spoiled by the constant movement of delivery vehicles, service personnel vehicles and mopeds, which, instead of moving along the main three roads for traffic, take shortcuts and drive 20 km per hour along the pedestrian zone. You just have time to jump away from them, grabbing the child! THE SMELL OF EXHAUST GASES IS TERRIBLE! Once, after the rain, I walked down the street in slates - then I could barely wash my feet of black diesel fuel or fuel oil (I don’t know what’s dripping from these cars). The child constantly had to be either carried in a stroller, or held by the hand or pulled. It is impossible to walk through the territory calmly! This is a huge minus for the hotel. There are three main roads - trains travel along them (the child called them that), but it turns out that children can safely walk and run around the territory only in the lobby.
For children, a small water park (we were there only once, the water is colder than in the sea), a children's club (a pool with balls, cartoons, games, a playground). We came with our daughter if the weather was bad or there was time before dinner). Open until 17:00. I observed the animation in the club: the children are not particularly watched or played, the children are on their own - looking for something to do, or watching cartoons, eating chips with pop. I didn’t understand why children often ran around with wet heads - there were fans and a candy station working, then I saw a children’s club near the water park. Animators have just begun to study Russian. And my daughter liked the playground behind the children's club: slides, houses, swings, roller coasters, tables and chairs, and sand toys. Children came often and there were always children. It was fun! After leaving, we took our sand toys there. Dance after dinner to lively music and run around the Christmas tree in the lobby. This is where the children's entertainment on the territory ends (the sea doesn't count) and we didn't really need them - my daughter fell asleep after dinner. You can also look at ducks and turtles on the way to the sea; they swim in the swamp. That's what we called it - an abandoned piece of the coastal zone on the hotel territory. The smell from it in the heat is not pleasant. The swamp is where there are a lot of mosquitoes. The fumigator in the room worked 21 days, 24 hours a day. Only after a week, when people and children walked around terribly bitten, they began to cultivate the hotel area - it became much smaller and it was possible to sleep with the balcony slightly open. The air conditioner was very noisy and was turned on when leaving the room. At night it became terribly humid and stuffy, the child slept poorly, and if you open the window there are mosquitoes. Humidity 70%!
The hotel was crowded with people, at that moment a real SARS epidemic began! The entire hotel was sneezing and coughing - adults and children, and the service staff too! You open the window in the morning and instead of birdsong and the sound of the wind, someone sneezes or coughs... everywhere in the restaurant, on the beach, in the lobby, people walked around sneezing for a week, with noses red from snot, and then a terrible cough appeared! First my daughter started sniffling, and the next day my husband. Temperature 37 one day and weakness. It didn’t look like acclimatization, since we had already been there for a week and the fact that so many people in the hotel got sick was more like a real epidemic. I began to experience symptoms after my daughter and husband had recovered, when we were already told about seasonal ARVI, that local children had gotten sick and apparently brought it to the hotel by the staff. True, I only had symptoms for 2-3 days and the people at the hotel were already recovering, although before our departure we began to see sneezing and coughing vacationers again, my husband also joked that he would rather go home from this infirmary.
BEACH AND POOL The first 5 days were wonderful, there weren’t many people, but then just a bunch of people moved in and the hotel became like an anthill. After breakfast there is no place to find a place by the pool, everything is covered with towels. At the same time, we had breakfast early at 7-8 o’clock due to the child’s schedule. Sun loungers by the pool on the beach are the same. Sunbeds by the sea could be found, but due to the strong wind with a child, I wanted to find a place next to the Esmeralda strip of sunbeds - there the wind was less strong and it was comfortable with a child. That is, people get up at 6 am and take sunbeds. Until recently we tried not to resort to this, but we got tired of running along the beach with a stroller and a child looking for a place. The last 5 days were also occupied. There was an opportunity to put the child to sleep on the beach in a stroller and relax for a couple of hours. It's quiet there, unlike the noise and hubbub by the pool. The beach is normal, but I’m not happy with the sunbed on the sunbed, there were also cigarette butts in the sand, but that’s on the conscience of the vacationers. The service staff cleans and tries to keep it clean, removes algae, decorates palm trees, waters and smoothes the sand, and places sun loungers. Photo coastline I think the hotel is a total scam. There were waves and wind all 21 days, so my daughter jumped on the waves in her husband’s arms, and we went for a swim in the small paddling pools in the pool near the beach. During the day it often rained and after it the sand was cold and the wind was not very good for children good climate I think, and besides, 70% humidity. We thought it was because we were unlucky with the weather, but upon our return we found out that in Tenerife it was raining and our friends swam for one day, but in Egypt it was 7 degrees and snowing.
FOOD If I were on vacation alone, I would give up on everything... For food I give it not 4, but 3! But here even I was not particularly impressed by half-green tomatoes and undercooked raw vegetables (it’s impossible to eat boiled vegetables - carrots, cauliflower, etc.) For the first week I ate delicious fish myself, but then it just disappeared and turned into some kind of shapeless mess and terribly salty. But the porridge at breakfast, on the contrary, improved, from the beginning they put cinnamon in it, the children spat and mine also ate without enthusiasm, and then the cinnamon stood separately, and the porridge was delicious milky. The saving graces were breakfast cereals with milk and yoghurts, they were very tasty, waffles, pancakes and pancakes with all kinds of jams, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs (I didn’t take scrambled eggs, they were fried until black), croissants and pastries were delicious. I could find something for the child for breakfast and lunch. Lunch was, at the very least, some kind of pureed vegetable soup that could be given to a child, the second was some kind of stinking meat broth. They have a children's menu: terrible sausages, fries and disgusting hamburger patties for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no vegetarian table, I already wrote about raw vegetables that cannot be eaten. There were delicious eggplants and carrots a couple of times. A couple of times in 21 days! For dinner, the child ate mostly macaroni and cheese and watermelon the entire vacation. She loves chicken, but she didn’t put it in her mouth, I tried it myself a couple of times, so-so, with some kind of incomprehensible taste, grilled chicken was delicious a couple of times. The sausages are generally of terrible quality, sometimes the tasty stewed meat was served, I gave it to my daughter. My child doesn’t eat this kind of undercooked rice, but a couple of times he came across it delicious. Fruits worth a C grade: watermelons are very tasty, pineapple too, the rest are so-so, mango disappeared on the 5th day and was never seen again, bananas if you get up early for the opening tomorrow at 7 o’clock you will be lucky! The juices at breakfast are freshly squeezed and very diluted with water. Dinner was mostly pasta. The ice cream is delicious, the desserts are so-so. The wine is much better than the cocktails throughout the hotel. All the cocktails are terrible, if you give money something that closely resembles the truth, they will pour you one. Therefore, the alcohol used was wine in the restaurant, beer or purchased rum in the room. In a restaurant, you had to constantly pay attention to what you were eating and drinking from... the plate was stained, and in the glass of water or wine that was poured for you, there were a ton of scraps floating around (it seems like they wipe each glass after washing it with a cotton rag and the lint remains in the glass, which you then you drink. I made tea for the child in the room or took juice in a children’s thermos.
Delicious brewed coffee only in the lobby and two more machines in the bars on the beach. At breakfast, the waiters serve coffee that is not tasty; if you go pour it yourself, it is even less pleasant. but you can’t really run around with a child, so they both drank and sometimes treated themselves to tasty things in the lobby.
A week later, queues for pasta and fruit began, it completely killed me! The restaurant itself has air conditioning and is quite cool, there are a lot of mosquitoes - we took a jacket for our daughter. By the end of the first week, the restaurant resembled a market; for such a large restaurant it was necessary to create two food areas, not one, because people walk around with plates, dodging each other as if they were obstacles, constantly like ants along the paths between the tables one after another and sit there is no possibility in a calm atmosphere. And there is also a large number of service personnel and all this resembles some kind of eatery in the market rather than a restaurant. The hum, the bustle, the clatter of dishes - they tried to quickly feed the child, grab something to eat themselves and leave this place.
The staff is great, they quickly clean the tables and escort you to a free clean table, depending on how many seats you need - I liked it. We are always happy to help if you suddenly need something for your child. Once I asked to pour water into grated carrots and sprinkle sugar - they looked at me in surprise! They really like to slow down for a minute at the children’s tablet and look. Well, wait a minute!))) In general, the attitude towards children is excellent, they love children, they happily communicate, and by the end of the vacation my daughter was saying hello to everyone and had learned a couple of phrases in Spanish. There are plenty of highchairs for children, they were always found themselves or brought by the waiters, both in the main restaurant and in the bars on the beach. At lunch we often ate at bars on the beach, but there was less choice and no soups at all. Once I managed to escape from the bustle of the general restaurant to an Italian restaurant. Upon arrival, I advise you to immediately sign up for all possible alacartas, since the registration was a week in advance! There was no particular benefit for the child, only the tomatoes were sweeter, and so she had to eat pasta again.
SOUVENIRS There are shops on site where you can buy souvenirs, inflatable toys and sand toys for children. We bought everything on site - rum, cigars, magnets, coffee, T-shirts, bags for the beach. My husband walked along the beach local market, but he said - everything is cheaper there, of course, but of such quality that it’s not pleasant to give it as a gift! On the beach I bought two beautiful shells, a large white and pink one, and a screw “tornado” and bargained for $20 for both. The first price tag was $40! I was told on Saona Island you can get each one for $5, but for me it was already a normal price) The store at the hotel had worse quality and cost $30 for two pieces. I put it in my luggage, wrapped in paper and several bags, on the advice, so that the clothes in the suitcase would not smell of sweat. You can export it. They don’t check suitcases, they just weigh them. Only hand luggage is scanned.
RESULT despite the fact that there are children on the territory of this hotel it wasn’t just a lot, but sooooooo much, I don’t think it’s quite suitable for children's recreation. Although they offer high chairs and even strollers in large quantities, the lack of a free zone from cars, as well as exhaust fumes and dirt, makes walking around the hotel premises not entirely pleasant. Also, a terrible children's table and a vegetarian menu for the hotel are all a huge minus! We won't go again and won't recommend it to friends. And in general, now after such a trip, I agree with those who write - a long flight, time zone change, humidity, lack of qualified medical specialists - all this is not for a holiday with a child! The Dominican Republic, it seems to me, is good for two, for a fun company, for a vacation for retired adult couples. But in this hotel heavenly pleasure you won't experience it!
Thank you all for your attention, I hope my review will be useful to someone. My husband Ali’s review was brief, mine will be more extensive, but he, like me, wrote it from the point of view of a parent taking his child on vacation and dreaming of a little rest after a working half-year. Comments that are not relevant will be ignored! Good mood to you all)

Beach of the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro Hotel

First line of the beach. Sand beach, belongs to the hotel. Entrance to the beach, sunbeds and canopies is free. The entrance to the sea is gentle.

Excellent hotel - the whole truth!!! + tips.
We vacationed with a large family, me and my wife and 14-year-old child and parents from July 10 to July 21, 2019. And now about everything in order, with interesting nuances that I did not find in the reviews.

The primary point is that the country is Spanish-speaking, not everyone speaks English well, don’t be lazy to download an off-line translator (I downloaded Google, dictionaries are downloaded separately - 100% understanding)

The second point is that starfish cannot be exported (a very large fine), alcohol is 3 liters per adult; in a suitcase there is no more than 3 liters per suitcase, even if they are combined, buy more later in duty free.

The third point is that no biased attitude towards compatriots was noticed; everyone was served equally and friendly. They love tips, if they deserve them, give them - you will then be person number one for them.

FLIGHT: We took the tour from Pegasus and flew accordingly by Nordwind airline. Baggage allowance per person - suitcase 15 kg + hand luggage 5 kg. If the two of you are flying with one suitcase, apply for unification and you will get 30 kg per suitcase. The planes are normal - Boeings, there is enough legroom, they feed you once and that’s for a 12-hour flight, the rest of the time there is water; juices - 2 times per flight, there is no sweet soda such as cola at all (additional meals, as well as pre-registration and seats must be ordered through the company’s website for additional money, you will not be able to do this in the cabin or take food with you - we took it, so we didn’t bother); Once again we were faced with the fact that on such long-distance flights the planes do not have an on-board entertainment system with screens (previously we flew with Transaero - they always had them) - take care of your leisure time in advance, since it was a surprise for many and people wandered around the cabin and went crazy, we this time we were ready for it and downloaded movies and TV series in advance (for Apple devices, I advise you to use the online cinema; we downloaded on Okko); if you want to good places Please arrive for registration 4 hours in advance. Blankets are given only to children, then on a residual basis. Otherwise, everything is fine, the service personnel (stewardesses) were not kind, they walked around the cabin like bloodhounds back and forth, almost looking into their mouths, looking for those who wanted to drink and making comments to everyone with or without reason, ASA pilots.

There is no need to change money; all mutual settlements in the country for tourists take place in dollars.

HOTEL: The road from the airport to the hotel is 30-40 minutes. When checking in, they showed possible options for the rooms to be nearby, they took building No. 32, second floor - it was in the middle with an equal distance from both the sea and the reception where the main restaurant and bar are located. No bribes were asked.

ROOMS: They gave us two rooms: in one everything worked, in the other - almost everything, after contacting the complaint manager, everything was quickly fixed, they even replaced the minibar, which did not cool well. The rooms are chic and spacious, large double canopy bed, sofa, coffee table with two chairs, free safe, TV (2 Russian channels), drip coffee machine, tea and coffee set, air conditioning, fan above the bed, minibar (beer, Pepsi , Pepsi Light, Sprite, Fanta, water - only 2 bottles - replenished daily, although in the first days after complaints), balcony - table plus 2 chairs, for those who care about having an iron and umbrella. In the bathroom, toilet, hairdryer and Jacuzzi bathtub, bathroom amenities (soap, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, cap, toothbrush and toothpaste) were replenished regularly. Towel - EVERYTHING was changed daily. Cleaning standards are wet, beds are made and trash is collected. The sockets are American, we took adapters with us, they cost $4-5.

FLIES/MOSQUITOES: The area is treated daily. We took with us a fumigator and sprays against midges and mosquitoes - it helped us.

INTERNET: WI FI in the hotel is free, the speed is excellent, it works only in the lobby and requires daily reconnection, and there is a paid one - $9 - it works everywhere, the speed is excellent.

TERRITORY, POOLS: The complex consists of 7 hotels, we could use the infrastructure of 2 more (Punta Cana and Turquesa). Although the infrastructure is large, everything works clearly and smoothly: the hotel area is beautiful, there are palm trees and flowers everywhere, everything is washed, polished, the lawns and garden are taken care of, they are kept shiny and clean. The territory is huge, in the middle there is a pond with mangroves where ducks, herons, fish and turtles live. There is a sports bar with free billiards. Turquesa has an ankle-deep water park for children; just before reaching it there is a sports area: minigolf, bungee trampoline, obstacle course in the trees, tennis court.

Electric cars ply around the territory, there are many routes, the frequency does not force you to wait more than 1-2 minutes. There are four swimming pools, with bars nearby. There are a lot of people in them, they are cleaned in the mornings with a vacuum cleaner and filled with bleach.

RESTAURANT: I advise you to go to the main one, where the choice of dishes is many times larger. Nutrition: mango, papaya and pineapples all day, very tasty and sweet; melons and watermelons - unsweetened; ice cream 6-8 types for lunch and dinner; seafood every day in one form or another; dorado fish daily; salted salmon for breakfast; freshly squeezed juices - 6 types daily for breakfast (diluted 20-30% with water); jamon all day; pizzas and burgers - lunch and dinner. Lobsters and amara - NO! Dinners are themed every day: Italian, Dominican, Gala dinner, Spanish, Mexican, American, Asian. We liked the Asian one the most (many different sushi and rolls) and the Gala dinner (shrimp, mussels, crab claws - one BUT, you won’t be able to eat them since they don’t provide tongs for them, but in the Fish a la carte restaurant they do - you have to) ask). I liked the service, they escort you to the table, quickly serve you, all drinks: water, wine, beer, cola, Fanta, cocktails, rum is brought by the waiter upon request, just order as soon as you are given a table, otherwise you will wait 10-15 minutes until they bring it.

Once a week there is an evening where they make free pina colada in pineapple and coconut milk in coconut, with rum added if desired.

BARS: at each pool, but I would note only two: the one at the reception - the lobby bar: there were paid and free drinks (Brugal rum, Grants whiskey, J&B, Martini, Mama Juana, local beer and wine, etc.) they made coffee from a coffee machine - not very good. The cocktails are not ice, I liked the banana mama the most. Pina Colada was poured ready-made, like many other cocktails. The shaker and mixer do nothing. And a good bar at the entrance to the beach, where the bartenders also sell alcohol and coffee under the counter: they took Brugal and Mama Juana from them - $10 per 1 liter.

OCEAN, BEACH: It is beautiful - Atlantic, turquoise, but only early in the morning before 8 o'clock. Then seaweed, especially after lunch. There were days when there were fewer of them, sometimes it was like being in an overgrown pond), but they were there every day, now this is the norm and an integral part of the beaches of the Dominican Republic. Although when on an excursion we were on the wild beach of Macau, it is located in a lagoon 30 km from ours - they weren’t there, and on excursions we asked people from other hotels - they all have them. Last year at the same time we were in Cuba - nothing like this happened. Yes, they are removed, but because of them the water is cloudy, visibility is half a meter, and it is not possible to swim with a mask. The beach is sandy, the entrance is gradual - for children Lafa. There are plenty of sun loungers, no one occupies anything for future use and from early morning, half are free throughout the day. Free on the beach: kayaks, canoes. Everything else - cheesecakes, bananas, parasailing, etc. starts from $20. Various souvenir vendors walk along the beach. They left everything on the beach except money - nothing was ever lost.

ANIMATION: During the day on the beach and by the pools, in the evening shows in the theater and in the lobby bar live music and dancing.

AL-CARTE RESTAURANTS: There are 6 of them, we went to the fish (seafood) - I recommend!, Japanese, grill, Italian, Mexican - I recommend!

EXCURSIONS: Republic Pro: 1. We took a jeep safari - $134 for an adult and $67 for a child, like everywhere else we had a blast with a car, we didn’t spare the car, we didn’t ask for your license, the Jeep Wrangler was automatic - the excursion seemed unreasonably expensive; 2. Saona: $59 per adult, there by speedboat with a canopy, swimming along the way in the lagoon where starfish live, there are really a lot of them, we also saw a stingray, take a mask with you, then a beach with a bar and lunch included, and yes they really come to the island first - snow-white sand, turquoise water and more than one seaweed), back on a catamaran accompanied by music and cocktails - I really liked the excursion.

I don’t recommend taking excursions through guides, everything is the same, only 1.5 times more expensive. I also don’t recommend going to their pocket store - a free transfer, the guide assured that the prices are the best in the Dominican Republic, in fact it turned out to be 2 times more expensive than in the shops at the hotel - I’m not kidding - we were in SHOCK, it’s good that we monitored the prices and they didn’t have anything We bought only silver earrings with larimar - their choice is normal, they sell very ugly ones in the market and on the beach, and not in silver. In our hotel there are many shops and a market, you will find everything there and cheaper, you can bargain and reduce the price by 2-3 times.

DEPARTURE: We took shells and local rum with us. The import of strong drinks into the Russian Federation is 3 liters, we took more, no one checked. Prices in duty-free for local rum are very high, but we knew this and therefore bought the Cuban Havana Club, the prices for it are almost the same as in Cuba) - $13 for 0.7, and in terms of quality it is in no way inferior to the Dominican one. We also did this when we were in the Dominican Republic earlier.

There were rains, after all, the rainy season, but only at night, the humidity was normal, the temperature during the day was 30-35 C.

In general, we were satisfied with our vacation; we received a lot of sun, emotions and positivity. If anyone has any questions, I will be happy to answer.
