Since its opening, the exhibition complex Prague-Holešovice has clearly become one of the basic social, technical, cultural and sports centers of Prague. The emergence of the fairgrounds and the First Republic: Fairgrounds Prague-Holešovice
As already mentioned, the exhibition complex was created for the purpose of organizing the anniversary exhibition in 1891. The main exhibition buildings were built for this event - the Industrial Palace, the lapidarium of the National Museum and the Křižíkova fontána (Singing Fountains). In addition, it was necessary to build a number of small associated buildings: a restaurant, catering establishments, and others, which housed the technical and administrative administration. One word was that the exhibition giant needed to build infrastructure.
Soon the Mechanical Engineering Palace was added to the Industrial Palace on the site of today's Tipsport Arena and, as a cultural dessert, the Maroldovo panorama was built. Every year, the exhibition complex hosts exhibitions and other events of international importance and recognition.

The Zemstvo Jubilee Exhibition of 1891 was an event of grand scale. The organizers wanted to demonstrate the successes of the scientific and technological process and the achievements of the national economy on the territory of the Czech lands, which at that time were part of Austria-Hungary. To a certain extent, the Zemsky Exhibition was supposed to show everything that the Czechs could be proud of and strengthen the national self-awareness, the rise of which began in the middle of the 19th century.

Sights of the Vystaviste complex
Palace of Industry- the central building of the exhibition complex. It is a structure with a steel frame and glazed walls. The palace is used for exhibition purposes; sometimes it also hosts various cultural events and music concerts. .

History of education in Vystavište
The complex with pavilions and fountains was created for a special occasion - an industrial exhibition that was held in the Czech Republic in 1891.
Thanks to this event, Prague residents acquired several interesting objects that are still in use today and are landmarks of Prague.
The eastern part of the former royal reserve was used to equip the exhibition area. The entire reserve was divided into a park area with the Letohradek Palace, which is known as, and into a square where exhibition facilities were built.
Some of the objects were relocated to other areas of the city after the exhibition ended. So the observation tower topped the hill, and it also ended up there, and the ornate Ganava Pavilion decorated the city park.
But also Výstaviště were not deprived of architectural and technical discoveries, so the complex continued its active life after the exhibition. During the time of Czechoslovakia it was called the Julius Fučík Park of Culture and Recreation, but with a change government structure The Czech Republic returned to its previous name.
Exhibition complex objects
Currently, the center of Vystaviste remains the Industrial Palace, built for that anniversary exhibition late XIX centuries.
Bedřich Münzberger designed the building with its original clock tower. In his project, the architect combined several styles, which is why the Industrial Palace is classified in the historicist style. The modern facade of the building lost some details during reconstruction in the 1950s. So, there is no longer a portal decorated with statues. Not so long ago, the Industrial Palace, whose halls still host exhibition events, faced severe challenges. In 2008, a fire occurred at one of the stands, leading to a large fire. How to get there
The Prague exhibition complex is also called Vystavište Holešovice or Holešovice ( Výstaviště Holešovice) according to its location. Therefore, to get to the complex, you need to come to the Holesovice district, which belongs to Prague 7. The easiest way is to take the metro and get to the Nádraží Holešovice station, located on line C. Then change to the tram and go one stop to Výstaviště (№ 12, 17, 24).

BRICK REPUBLIC
From April to June inclusive, the exhibition center hosts the fifth annual interactive exhibition of models made from LEGO bricks. This year, the organizers plan to use 2 thousand square meters of workspace, which will house figures from 15 million parts. Fans of fortresses and castles will appreciate scale models of famous Czech landmarks, including: St. Vita, National Museum with its exhibitions, the castles of Lednice and Karlštejn. Twice a year (in May and December) a unique festival is held with the participation of the flagships of the world of electronic music. During the festival, the exhibition center turns into a huge dance floor (capacity up to 10 thousand people) with the most modern sound and lighting equipment. In the spring, PVA Expo Praha traditionally hosts one of the largest fairs - For Bikes, which is dedicated to cycling.
