Vacation period: 2 weeks in mid-April

Room: we had 411 on the 4th floor with a stunning view of the ocean. Not new, but in very good condition, clean, everything works properly, air conditioning and dehumidifier work well. Large double bed + sofa in the room. Cleaning every day and in the evening they still knock and ask if everything is okay. There is free coffee/cream/tea/sugar in the room every day, and shower sets with shampoo, lotion, and shower gel are replenished during cleaning.

A nuance about the room: on the first day we were placed in a room on the first floor, we asked to be moved and the next day we were moved.

Territory: beautiful green territory, Aralia trees with white flowers in bloom everywhere, which smell amazing, many girls often add them to their hair, beauty. There are a lot of chipmunks that you can hand-pick (they love peanuts and pumpkin seeds), and some of them you even managed to pet. There are large turtles on the reef nearby, and on the rafting beach we were able to see in the evening how turtles (30 of them) hatched from the clutch and were released into the ocean at sunset! There are a lot of masonry there, they are marked with signs, maybe you will also be lucky enough to see this miracle. There are also two large monitor lizards living on the hotel grounds, about a meter in length, very calm, and they periodically come out for a walk around the property.

Beach and ocean: Ocean Water +30.5, we swam for at least half an hour. When there are no waves, the water in the bay is a stunning emerald color, the sand on the beach is the purest! When the waves started in the 20th of April (the end of the season, it was stormy), a red flag was hung out and it was normal to enter the bay, but it was not very comfortable because of the stones that were washed away by the water.

Weather: in mid-April, out of 2 weeks, it rained for about an hour every second day during the day, twice at night. It didn’t cause any discomfort, everyone swam in the pool under the tropical downpour, it was fun. The air temperature was +29 +30.

Breakfasts and dinners: breakfasts are very varied, side dishes, fish, chicken, a lot of fruit, fresh juices, sweet buns. At the dinners, in addition to the general abundance, there were a lot of different seafood, but most of all on Saturday and Sunday - seafood days - there were large shrimp, crabs, lobsters, lobsters, shark fillets, tuna and other fish!

Interesting: 3 times there were photo shoots of weddings on the hotel grounds, it was interesting to look at the brides in red and black dresses, unusual and very beautiful!

We rested in early December on the advice of friends.
The room was on the 4th floor, spacious, with a balcony and ocean view. We only took breakfast, it turned out to be excellent. The area is spacious and well-groomed. Wifi everywhere.
On the beach there is the opportunity to swim without waves, and places for snorkeling. Tourists are entertained by huge turtles and tame chipmunks swimming from the ocean... and, monitor lizard. There are lots of shops along the highway, and a market within walking distance.
I couldn’t find anything to complain about. I recommend.

A good hotel with an established culture of service, excellent cuisine and probably the most important thing - location. Beach - you don’t want to choose, with or without waves, with corals and turtles. I highly recommend higher rooms - ideally, 4th floor. The view is great. Yes, the hotel itself and the rooms require updating, but then the price tag will be different, like for example at Marriott....

We spent a magical week at the beginning of May 2018. From the meeting on the steps of the hotel with freshly squeezed juice to the lunch box on the road, farewell, only pleasant positive emotions during the entire holiday. Special thanks to Galina. Wonderful, friendly, attentive, responsive girl! What doesn't stop her from doing her difficult job professionally... otu s big amount very diverse people. If you have problems with English, ask Galina at the counter! And the rest of the staff is an example for any hotel! I already wrote a review about the hotel. Based on my third stay at this hotel, I can give some advice:
1. If you check in early, you can check in until 14-00 for 30 dollars (including breakfast). At the reception they “remember” this around 10 am, after you have already been in the lobby for 4 hours. They keep everyone until at least 12-00 noon and do not settle them. This concept has become... at the hotel as the norm after they joined the Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts chain of hotels((
2. The rooms are all quite tired, we lived in at least seven...
3. To extend the hotel in case of late departure to the airport and “early check-out”, use booking; it will be at least 2 times cheaper than the extension offered at the reception.
In Hikkaduwa, this hotel still has no equal!

Now in the hotel. Weddings are constantly taking place on the hotel grounds, if you want to relax, you won’t be able to from morning until late at night, the music is blaring so loud that not only is it impossible to sleep, but your head hurts all the time. Also, because of weddings, you become the constant target of reproachful glances from guests, because you are in a bikini, and they don’t do that. Very unpleasant. No... You can relax for your own money and have a normal rest. The staff doesn't care that the guests are not happy. There are a lot of crows living on the hotel grounds that shit everywhere, including on the sun loungers, mattresses, tables and chairs near the pool bar. The staff doesn’t wipe it down, and when you ask, they look at you like you’re an enemy. There are dogs running around on the boarding, which flock together in packs in the evening, it’s scary. The hotel itself does not reach 4 stars, although it is the best in Hikkaduwa. There are no bathrobes or slippers in the room, although the floor is cold. The peculiarity of the rooms is that if you turn off the air dryer and air dryer, then after an hour the walls of the room are covered with condensation (they become wet). If you decide to go to this hotel, then keep in mind that the price-quality ratio is not consistent.

Hi all! I’ll tell you about a super awesome holiday in Sri Lanka.
My husband and I mostly deal with buying tickets and booking hotels ourselves. But this time the vacation literally fell on us, and we decided to contact a travel agency. We chose the Ambotis company in St. Petersburg (friends advised us to contact). The office quickly found a hotel and flight for us. And that's where it began... our journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow. From Moscow to Sharjah. From Sharjah to Sri Lanka! It was great, but tiring. They filled out the migration card right on the plane, which was very cool!
Upon arrival, we walked and walked and walked through the airport. And then once we were quickly loaded onto the bus, and we went to the hotel!
We were checked into the hotels immediately, although we arrived early at about seven in the morning.
The room is great! To my pleasant surprise, there was even an ironing board and iron!
There is also shampoo, but it is better to take it with you from home. There is no hair conditioner. But shower gel and caps, hair dryer.
To our great joy (or rather to the joy of my husband), they speak good language on the island English language(after all, a former English colony), so there are no problems with local population did not arise.
The beach is amazing! Even people from nearby hotels come here to swim. Rescuers count by head the number of people who entered and exited the water.
The food at the hotel is excellent! There is always variety. Not as big as in the Turkish fives, but more than at home.
