I’ve been vacationing in this boarding house for 3 years, in fact I liked the clean pool, the territory is always cleaned and the rooms are cleaned. What I didn’t like was the unfriendly reception, unsanitary conditions in the kitchen (there are a lot of tricks in the dining room, work without aprons and caps) the food is just terrible and not skillfully prepared . What’s also depressing is the very late check-in from 12.00, or at least from 10.00, otherwise the trains arrive early and we all hang around for 5 hours at the reception. 2 times out of 3 the air conditioning in the room did not work.

On the territory of the boarding house there is an illuminated swimming pool, sun loungers, sun loungers, and a barbecue bar. The territory of the boarding house is guarded around the clock. There is no menu for every day, so you have to ask the canteen employee what they can offer vacationers for breakfast, lunch and dinner today for consumption. Mugs are not always clean. We booked a double room with an extra bed. We expected a double bed with a folding bed, as it should be in normal boarding houses/hotels/hotels, etc., but in the end two single beds were put together, one of the beds turned out to be terribly creaky. The bedding included 2 pillows and 2 blankets for 3 people

Very friendly and smiling staff, this applies to everyone - at the reception, in the dining room, cleaning staff, security and others. Thank you all very much for this! The food was delicious, but it was a little hot in the dining room. Wifi worked well everywhere. The view from our balcony was very beautiful, of the monastery and the mountains. In the morning I woke up to the singing of birds and even my soul sang along with them. There is a cool, clean pool on site with sun loungers. The area is small, there are benches, there is no playground, but we didn’t need that. All the attractions, souvenir shops, a waterfall, a cave, etc. are nearby, it’s a bit far from the sea, about 300-500 meters, but walking is not annoying, it’s easy. In general, I recommend the hotel to everyone.

June 2018. Holidays for middle class holidaymakers. Nothing extra + swimming pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is tasty, balanced, the menu is varied, without home-style frills and without choice (it’s difficult for vegetarians to eat there, there’s meat everywhere). The only negative is that there are no fresh vegetables for lunch. Buy whatever fruit you want for yourself. The location of the boarding house is heaven on earth! Walking to the sea is not stressful, all the beauty is within walking distance. The boarding house is good not for protecting the bed and sun lounger by the pool, not for lazy watching the animation, which is not there and is not necessary, but for walking, contemplating the surroundings, saturating the body with oxygen, salting the sea, nice tan- 5 for this! Yes, of course, the boarding house already needs to replace all the plumbing and some furniture, but in general it can be used, given their climate. The TV in our room did not work and the next day they replaced it for us...a room that turned out to be even better than the previous one. WiFi was available both at the reception and in the room, and was even available in some places on the premises. Special thanks to the chefs! Everything was prepared so lovingly and professionally that my capricious child, who only eats sausages and pasta at home, devoured everything there, including borscht and fish and cutlets (even asked for more)! The first courses are so delicious that even cafes don’t prepare them like this.

Our room is 401 on the fourth floor, the so-called attic. Initially, the boarding house was three floors, but in 2010 it was renovated and now the building is four floors, there is a panoramic elevator. Three walls of our room are stained glass from floor to ceiling, with views of the path to the monastery and the mountain. But since there is a huge linden tree growing in the yard, a cloud of bright greenery from one look out the window lifts your spirits! The room is cleaned every day, linen and towels are changed every 5 days. The grounds of the boarding house are very well maintained. The only thing is that a second building is currently being built nearby, so of course there are some errors, but they are not critical. The food is normal, breakfast is usually porridge, omelet, cottage cheese and always cheese and sausage. Lunch and dinner are also quite filling, the menu is varied. It's a pity there is no local color. But still, not everyone is a fan of spicy and original Abkhaz cuisine)))) Another pleasant moment: if we were leaving somewhere for the whole day, the girls-cooks would definitely prepare something for us to eat. Boarding house "Waterfall" 3* is a modern tourist complex, located in Abkhazia resort town New Athos. The equipped municipal sand and pebble beach is within walking distance, walking along the beautiful shady alleys of the city.
