The journey to the pier will take no more than 5-7 minutes.

Ship schedule

The pier at the Kievsky station is very busy, especially in high season. Tickets for river walks can be purchased on our website after selecting the appropriate one. excursion route. Tickets at the pier are more expensive. River buses go for walks along the Moscow River every hour. The exact schedule can be checked with our managers.

Walk on a river bus around Moscow a good option relaxation on a hot summer day. Previously, I already wrote about what options there are for walks along the Moscow River and talked about how we swam on a river bus in Severnoe Tushino Park (read). This time we went for a walk on a river bus in the center of Moscow. I spent a long time choosing from which pier it was better to sail by boat and in the end I chose a river trip around Moscow from the Kievsky railway station.

River walks along the Moscow River, routes from Kievsky Station:

  • Circular route Kyiv railway station - Ustinsky bridge - Kyiv railway station. The duration of the river trip is 2 hours. Waterbuses depart from the pier every 20 minutes from 10:30 to 20:50.

River walks around Moscow from Kievsky Station: our review and photos

We chose the second option for a river walk around Moscow, i.e. option from Kievsky railway station to Novospassky bridge. This is the longest route; in the first option, the ship turns around a little earlier.

The Kyiv Station berth is conveniently located next to the station of the same name and the Kyiv metro station. Kievsky Station pier on the map:

We went for a walk on a river bus around Moscow on a hot July day, but as always we were unlucky with the weather! All days in Moscow there was unrealistic heat, the bright sun was shining, namely on the day when we had planned river walk in the center of Moscow, clouds rolled in and rain began to gather (which, fortunately, never came). By the way, after our river walk ended and we went to lunch at Chistye Prudy– and the sun immediately came out! We are always so lucky with walks on water - this was the case in Mexico in the Sumidero Canyon, in Laos while kayaking in Vang Vieng and in other places. I am convinced that good sunny weather and the walks on the water I have planned are incompatible! 🙂

We arrived literally a couple of minutes before the river bus departed from the Kyiv pier, quickly bought tickets and took seats on the upper deck.

Despite the fact that our walk along the Moscow River took place on Saturday, there were few people, there were places for everyone on the upper deck. The ship is comfortable, there is a bar and a clean toilet on the ground floor. During the walk, the guide talks about the sights weeded by.

Well, now our photo walk along the Moscow River :)

The Moscow City complex is visible. By the way, next to Moscow City there is also a pier from which departures water buses.

We pass the Luzhniki sports complex. There is open pool, which I never went to for several years of living in Moscow :) And in general, we never walked around Luzhniki.

The Moscow State University building is one of my favorite places in Moscow. I love to start walking tour in Moscow from the Universitet metro station, go to the Moscow State University building, and then go down to the Vorobyovy Gory embankment. Soon I will write an article about my favorite route.

Moscow State University building. My parents studied here and I sometimes walked there as a child :)

And here are the Sparrow Hills and the beautiful, recently restored embankment. We often went rollerblading along this embankment. Ah, those were the times! I miss you... :)

Gorky Park is mine favorite place holidays in Moscow. I love this well-kept park with beautiful flower beds, dancing in the evenings, delicious cafes with cozy summer terraces. And stylish, well-groomed, fashionable people walk here, it’s really nice to see :)

This is such a Soviet family :)

Monument to Peter 1, which was opened in 1997 for the 850th anniversary of Moscow

Factory "Red October". The confectionery factory building was built in 1907. Now the candy production plant has been moved to another location, and the former Red October factory has become an art zone with art galleries, exhibition halls, trendy bars and restaurants. Do you like night parties? That way! Oh, where are my 20 years... :)

The Cathedral of Christ the Savior, which was originally built in 1812, was then destroyed on the orders of Stalin and rebuilt again in 2000. There are excursions around the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, and you can go up to the observation deck.

The Moscow Kremlin is a museum and a well-kept park. I have already written in detail about the Moscow Kremlin here:

– the most beautiful temple in Moscow :) Be sure to explore it not only from Red Square, but also go inside!

The round house is the international house of music, and next to it are two buildings shaped like pencils.

Novospassky Monastery, which we will never get to on an excursion :)

With this, our one and a half hour walk on the river bus around Moscow from the Kievsky station ended, we sailed to the Novospassky Most pier. The nearest metro stations are “Krestyanskaya Zastava” and “Proletarskaya”, the walk is about 10 minutes. By the way, if you are coming by car, then it is better to start such a walk at this pier - it is easy to find a place to park your car nearby, at least this was the case on weekends .

We really enjoyed the river bus ride around Moscow! I recommend! A great way to spend time on a summer day and a convenient way to see Moscow from a different perspective.

But next time I still want to take a ride on the Radisson ship with lunch or dinner. Not cheap, but worth it! By the way, the Radisson motor ship plies along the Moscow River all year round!
