Check-in: arrived around 10:00, checked in within an hour. Pleased. First they took me to “exemplary” room 9** (I don’t remember the exact number). A dead bastard, with torn furniture, dark, noisy, with a view of some creepy smokehouse with black smoke XD)) My face naturally twisted, and the “manager” asked: “Do you want a good room? Let’s go.” Took me to room 782. Compared to the previous one, the room was better, at least with the view from the window and the condition of the furniture. In general, $20, worked out scheme. We wanted closer to the sea, but those rooms are only for Italians and those who pay well (or the lucky ones). I didn’t want to spend half a day fighting with the staff, so we stayed.
Number: I’ve only seen such plumbing in old American films, the water flows according to some kind of pattern (I want it/I don’t want it), I also didn’t figure out the shower right away, the tank is chipped, in general it’s sad. The mattresses and bedding are old. TV from the last century (box). There is nowhere to put things. Cold. We met people who were going to this hotel for the 4th time (I don’t understand %/**-), they said that in 6 years only the bedspreads in the rooms have changed... No water, no mini cosmetics.
Territory: beautiful, Instagrammable, large, if you don’t look closely at the details (construction waste, destruction in the corners, etc.). There are 2 or 3 tuk-tuks that take you from the main building to the beach and back. The sunbeds and mattresses by the pools were destroyed. The pools are beautiful but not heated, we found one small one, warmer than the others, but presumably due to its size, it has time to heat up in the sun. There are no animators. There was an "amphitheater" with a poor show, very poor.
Bars/restaurants: I’ll say right away that I’ve been to budget hotels and I’m not a picky person. Alcohol is bad, it stinks of alcohol, you can only drink diluted rum, and then in low concentration. The beer is not bad. You can drink coffee in the canteen (it’s not coffee, but tolerable), on the beach it’s game, not coffee, powder from a bag. Tea - Lipton. Juices, as usual, are powder. At the bar by the African pool, the water in the cooler tastes like it came from a tap... Food: I have never seen such bad food even in cheaper hotels. There is simply NOTHING tasty (except store-bought baked goods: bread, buns). They can't even cook eggs properly; fried eggs are raw, boiled eggs are overcooked. Desserts: terrible... not a single tasty one was found. The meat is all dry, you need to wash it down with water so as not to hang yourself. The side dishes are bad, the rice is not even tasty... Not a single tomato the entire time. And all this “delicacy” must be begged for and first stand in a life-long queue. They shove plates at you in the back, you hand the plate to the man with a stupid expression on your face, and ask for “rice, please” like a beggar (the same for meat, eggs, pasta.....). At first we were very upset, then we just laughed hysterically at the situation we found ourselves in XD)))) Oh, and the canteen on the beach is also by appointment (in this hotel everything is by appointment, by numbers, by coupons XDDDD) Wild wildness . The canteen on the beach has the same food, only with sparrow droppings. If you don’t want to leave the beach (to walk far), then sign up to sign up: also clearly on time, and also through the queue (God, when I remember, I’ll shudder :))))))) And, even in the canteen, someone- then one of the undercooks was with “imagination”, he sculpted all sorts of little animals from flour, this “design” reminded me of the swings and drawings in the old Soviet kindergartens, those that gave me goosebumps.
Beach: steps like +-4-5 floors. There are not enough sun beds and they are worn out. To get a sunbed, you need to get up at 7 in the morning, at 7:30 run to stand in lines for eggs and run to the beach, you lie there freezing sleepy, because if you come later, there will be no sun loungers. The approach is smooth and the depth from the shore is decent, not to the bone, you can swim normally. There are a lot of fish. There is a pontoon. Eat sea ​​urchins! They are not removed and no one warns about them. For the first 3 days we swam without corals, then, when we saw a limping woman who had stepped on a hedgehog, we began to put on our shoes and watch where we were stepping. There are no toilets or showers on the beach. There are showers and toilets in the hookah bar, up the steps, on the 2nd-3rd floor. In general, rinsing out of the bottle was “very convenient.” The animators appeared at 10:00, turned on the music, did exercises and disappeared (turning off the music).
New Year's program: in the canteen there is still the same poor food, without any changes, rude employees, drinks in plastic glasses!! Ahh, they put tablet candles on the tables (you light them yourself if you want a holiday XD))) In the "amphitheater" strange 4 people danced a strange dance... everyone was driven into the zodiac bar, a cake was placed in the middle (as tasteless and ugly as all of them desserts), hung balloons, that’s all, cut the cake at 00. This is just wild misery. People entertained themselves as best they could. And for this they charged a normal additional payment.
Oh, and a special “thank you” to the guide from join up Mando! So disgusting... just wow))) Corresponded to the entire impression of the hotel.
I sincerely don’t understand the people who went there again; the only good thing was going into the sea. We will certainly never go there again. This is the only hotel from which we left without regrets, worst ever. The impressions from the vacation were still good, but I couldn’t spoil the beauty of the sea and the warmth of the sun of Pharaoh :) I really hope that my review helped you in some way. There were 10 of us checking into Faraana Reef at a time, so accommodation took about an hour. The problem was that for the entire group of tourists there was one hotel employee who escorted each individual to their room. I believe that the proper organization of the work process is lacking here. Our room was located on the second floor, with windows facing the sea. It’s a bit far from the reception and the main restaurant too, but that didn’t bother us. The room was clean, the cleaning was always good, for this we get the highest score. As for the food, it seemed a little meager to me, but despite everything, not a single guest went hungry. The dishes were varied, there was always something meat and fish, breakfasts were standard, like everywhere else. There is also a restaurant by the beach, where you could eat 2 times a week by appointment. We didn't miss the opportunity and were very pleased with the cuisine. Almost all the hotel staff are Russian-speaking, which greatly enhances your stay here. (at least for my husband and me, because, alas, we are not strong in English). The sea is very close big beach, always clean, there are free sun loungers. If you walk along the shore, you can find an entrance with a sandy bottom. We did just that and were satisfied.

I went on vacation with my 12-year-old daughter. We liked the Faraana Reef Club Hotel for many reasons objective reasons. I'll write them now. First of all, these are comfortable rooms, cozy and clean. Cleanliness is the most important requirement for me! The rooms were cleaned regularly and well, it’s even surprising that men are able to clean things up like that (in the hotel all the staff are men, and accordingly the stronger sex also cleaned them). We had Single Room with a large double bed, it could accommodate two people quite comfortably. We had air conditioning at our disposal. It worked properly, although many complained, some were not regulated, some were leaking, for us everything was ok! The TV and hair dryer were also in working order. Next is the surrounding area. Relatively large, well-groomed, planted with greenery. In the evening, the paths are illuminated, so you can always take a walk before going to bed. There are also swimming pools here. Each had its own peculiarity: one had an artificial wave, the second was like a jacuzzi, the third had jets of water, like a hydromassage. We swam in all three. As for nutrition. Here we were happy with everything, some might think that there was not enough food, but there was enough for everyone, no one left the restaurant hungry. The cooks cooked deliciously; every day there were fish, chicken and beef dishes. There was nothing pork, but we didn’t really want it. Fruits, vegetables, desserts in large quantities. There was entertainment too. Not as many and not as varied as we would like, but in the morning on the beach there was gymnastics, yoga, you could play volleyball, darts. During the day, the hotel has children's animation, my daughter always really liked it. In the evening there were discos, but we didn’t go to them; we could sit at the bar by the pool, listen to music, drink delicious cocktails, non-alcoholic, of course. Sea!!! It's amazing! The beach is clean, well-groomed, there is a reef nearby, there are many sunbeds. We did not regret choosing this place to relax.

WiFi in the hotel is paid: 60 minutes - $1, 1 day - $3, 3 days - $6, 6 days - $10. But it only works at the reception and at the pools, which is very inconvenient. It is most convenient to take it for 60 minutes if you interrupt the session, i.e. If you logout, the remaining minutes will not expire and can be used at any time. The most negative impression about the hotel is the food. The food in the dining room is prepared like for piglets: they mix some kind of garbage in a large vat. You definitely won’t leave hungry, but everything is cooked tastelessly, haphazardly. The only vegetables are cabbage, green peppers, cucumbers and carrots, i.e. There aren’t even tomatoes, although they are very cheap, we bought vegetables when we lived in apartments, and we know the prices. Fruits too - only dates and guavas. The most unpleasant and inconvenient thing is the lack of self-service in the dining room. All dishes such as scrambled eggs or pancakes for breakfast or meat dishes for dinner are served to you by a special person and only in a limited portion. Those. in the canteen there are so-called cooking stations, where, pay attention, after standing in line (!) you can get a portion of the finished dish. Of course, no one forbids you to stand in line for your favorite dish a few more times, but do you need it?! Even a simple salad like Greek will require you to stand up. In general, it is better to arrive no earlier than an hour after the start of service, so that the main flow of visitors subsides and the queues decrease. All the staff in the canteen are kind of irritable and rude, they treat visitors like cattle, they are clearly fed up with this conveyor belt and useless work, and it is really worthless, because all this could have been avoided by organizing the usual Buffet with self-service, as in all similar hotels in the world. The hotel area is large and for some reason is all paved with uneven cobblestones, you are always walking and stumbling.

Entry into the sea is convenient, sandy, further on coral reef. It was a bit of a disappointment for us after the Hadaba area. There it was absolutely alive and colorful, but here it is half-dead, or rather the base of the reef is dead corals on which the remains of the living are located. I have more than once seen a call from some bloggers to introduce penalties (fines) for those who step on corals and thereby destroy them. Guys, even crowds of rabid tourists are not able to trample corals at a depth of 20-30 meters! And the reef is basically dead even at this depth, which means that the nearby hotels are clearly leaking something into the water, it’s not for nothing that there is such a difference compared to the reef in Hadaba, just one kilometer away! Those. The Egyptians themselves are mercilessly destroying their priceless reef! Don't blame the tourists! In general, if you want to see a truly lively and colorful reef, go to wild beaches to Hadaba.

Hotel employees practically extort tips, for example, for cleaning the rooms, ignore the “do not disturb” sign, and can easily go into your room together and intrusively and at length ask if they cleaned up well, and you just want them to leave. They unceremoniously touch personal belongings. There is no free wifi, it is only available with cards, and it is expensive, practically does not catch, and if it does, the speed is so low that even messengers work with difficulty (for example, simple text messages are not sent the first time). The main disadvantage is the food. Unsanitary conditions: dirty cutlery, plates, cups. Flies on food. During the second half of our vacation we got food poisoning. In addition, there are huge queues for any food, one poorly working coffee machine for the entire hotel (it is impossible to drink hot coffee and eat a hot breakfast at the same time, because you have to stand in queues). Drinks are not best quality(good beer, passable coffee, but the juices are all powdered, the water from the cooler is of questionable quality). The assortment is not rich. Lots of bad taste. If you don’t come at the very beginning of dinner, you won’t get any fruit, and if you come, you’ll spend 20-30 minutes in lines. Part of the descent to the beach is occupied by construction, and therefore there is construction waste. Access to the beaches of neighboring hotels is blocked and prohibited, making it impossible to walk along the sea.

Large interesting reef, pleasant beach staff, no significant problems with sun loungers, clean hotel area (except for construction on the beach) There is a stall with delicious fruit at a reasonable price on the hotel territory. Cool cats roam throughout the hotel.

Ras Um Sid Bay is beautiful. The sea is gorgeous, warm and clean. The underwater world is rich, with a lot of living creatures. The staff at the hotel are wonderful, welcoming and friendly. The cleaning was excellent, the room was clean, everything worked properly. The hotel has excellent animation, there is some kind of entertainment on the beach all day, dancing, yoga, in general it’s fun, well done! The reef, unfortunately, is dying. There are no longer the same colors that were there at least 4 years ago. On the beach, sun loungers and mattresses require replacement. As they say, “no one fights anymore”))). The hotel does not have free bottled water (0.5 l) or internet.

Location, first line, enough sunbeds and umbrellas. The music didn't bother me. Large green area, there are shops. The rooms are spacious, well soundproofed, rooms are cleaned, towels are changed daily. The room was cleaned by one hotel employee named Gamil for all 10 days - very efficiently. The food was quite satisfactory, although it doesn’t reach 4 stars. The tablecloths were changed every day. Glass glasses are in great short supply. All drinks are only in plastic and paper cups. Nescafe instant coffee only. For some reason there were no fresh tomatoes.
