The participants of the founding meeting unanimously decided to appoint Oleg Safonov, Head of the Federal Tourism Agency, as Chairman of the Council. The Presidium of the new advisory body included the head of Nizhny Tagil Sergei Nosov, the Chairman of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on entrepreneurship in the field of tourism, the Vice-President of the RST Yuri Barzykin, as well as representatives of Russian industrial corporations. Executive Director of the Ural Tourism Association Mikhail Maltsev was elected Secretary of the Council.

The council will organize interaction between industrial facilities and tourism companies, assist in obtaining decisions on access to secret and dangerous facilities, and contribute to the implementation of the educational function of industrial tourist routes, to form a unified map of industrial tourism in the Russian Federation.

The tactical tasks of the Council for the Development of Industrial Tourism in the Russian Federation in the first half of 2018 will be the creation of a unified map of industrial tourism of the Russian Federation, the formation of routes and programs for the development of industrial tourism in Russian regions.

Russia has a rich industrial history. There are many unique plants and factories located on the territory of our country, which are promising tourist attractions that can attract additional tourist traffic. Legendary industrial enterprises are one of the essential components of the tourism potential of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

For single-industry towns, using the tourism potential of the industrial complex is an extremely important task for diversifying the economy and creating conditions for socio-economic development.

For the tourism industry, the development of industrial tourism is of great importance from the point of view of expanding the range of all-season domestic tourism offers.

Besides, sightseeing tours at industrial enterprises contribute to solving such problems as career guidance for the younger generation and attracting foreign students to Russian universities for technical specialties, as well as reducing the level of youth migration from federal subjects to the capital region.

More and more industrial tourism products are appearing in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which are formed taking into account successful experience foreign countries, in particular Germany and the USA. One of the significant projects was the creation of the “Voentour” tourist route, which included visits to production workshops, a museum and the tank training ground of the Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Complex. This initiative was implemented during the interaction between Rostourism and NPK Uralvagonzavod, which began in 2016, on the development of military-industrial tourism in Russia. In 2017, children’s “military tours” were launched for the first time.

Many Russian cities are interested in becoming centers of industrial tourism. In addition to Nizhny Tagil, these include Chelyabinsk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Cherepovets and others.

“The growing worldwide interest in industrial tourism determines the relevance of the task of organizing regular excursions and creating tourist routes to the leading enterprises of our country. Industrial tours are very important as a tool for patriotic education of citizens and career guidance for young people. Tours to the most important sites of the Russian industrial complex fill our citizens with a sense of pride in their country and confidence in the future, and help foreign tourists get rid of false stereotypes about our country. The creation of a new advisory body will allow consolidating the efforts of stakeholders for the effective development of industrial tourism in the Russian Federation. The composition of the Council is open. We invite everyone to join in its work. For our part, we will actively develop interaction with the constituent entities of the federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on the creation and promotion of industrial tourism products“says the Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov.

Tourism Coordination Council Sverdlovsk region this year I decided not to allocate funds to the Ural Music Night for the festival. As festival director Evgeniy Gorenburg wrote on his Facebook page, this year support will be given to the event “Ural Moroz’s Birthday in Skazov Park”, the red-haired festival and the mowers’ tournament. Moreover, last year “Night of Music” received 500 thousand rubles from the council, this year it expected to receive 1 million rubles.

“Photos of Santa Ural Frost with an amazing crowd of children and other winners make us think about reorganizing the Ural Night of Music into the Threshing Festival among red-haired Santa Clauses!” — Evgeniy Gorenburg wrote on Facebook.

In a comment to the website, the director of the festival said that the tourism coordinating council did not spend funds on the event, which “is capable of attracting the maximum number of tourists to our region,” so the council “failed to fulfill its direct functional responsibilities.”

As reported in the information policy department of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, the winners of this year’s competition were “Ural Frost’s Birthday” (Aramil), the “Marble Mile” festival (Polevskoy), the historical reconstruction festival “Pokrovsky Frontier” (Artemovsky), the VII International Mowers Tournament ( Artie) and III Festival of Redheads (Nizhny Tagil).

Evgeny Gorenburg did not like this choice. The winners were chosen by experts who assessed “uniqueness, mass appeal, the possibility of co-financing from local budgets and extra-budgetary sources, and others.”

“Their thesis that you are already supported does not stand up to criticism. This can be interpreted as us giving you a medal posthumously, since this money is also important to us. The situation can be compared to when one part is missing in a car, this part can destroy the entire structure. Yesterday I reported that we have a deficit in the festival’s budget and every million is important and necessary for us,” Gorenburg told the website.

In his opinion, “people, instead of buying coal for a locomotive (by their own admission, which is what our Ural Night of Music festival is) so that it can pull the entire train, they are trying to buy paint and paint the cars that should be attached to this locomotive "

Previously, the organizing committee of the 2018 FIFA World Cup allowed the organizers of the Ural Music Night to hold a festival in Yekaterinburg during the World Cup. This was an exception to the usual rules - the organizing committee often does not agree on holding open mass events in cities where the World Cup is being held.

URAL – CENTER OF INDUSTRY

In the BarBoris restaurant in the Yeltsin Center, a man in a good business suit steals a glance at his watch. The minute hand is approaching 14:00 hours. He throws a few words to his companions. And the company moves to the next hall of the center. In the congress hall, Roman Skory, Deputy Head of the Federal Tourism Agency, is immediately invited to the stage. He had the honor of opening the First Conference on Industrial Tourism of the Russian Federation as part of the largest tourism exhibition EXPOTRAVEL-2017.

– I have never been to the Yeltsin Center. My acquaintance with him began at the restaurant,” Roman Skory admitted to the public. – And since we’re talking about the hospitality industry, the food here is very tasty! As for our conference, this is the beginning of a long journey of development of industrial tourism in the Urals. Popularization of enterprises and factories is a huge contribution to the recognition of the Ural region!

Excursions to operating enterprises have recently become a real trend. People from all over the world dream of visiting the Cadbury chocolate factory in England. No wonder excursions bring her more money than selling chocolate. There are a lot of people who want to take a walk around the Toyota concern in Japan, where the best-selling cars are assembled. But the Urals in this sense are a real treasure trove of amazing enterprises. We have UMMC, UVZ, NTMK, and NPO Automation.

THE SCALE IS AMAZING

The impressive-looking howitzer on the screen is replaced by the pride of the Soviet army - T-34 tanks, followed by footage of fighters and bombers. This is UMMC presenting its museum of military equipment to the audience in the congress hall of the Yeltsin Center.

An important component of attracting tourists is uniqueness, says Evgeniy Bragin, Deputy General Director of OJSC UMMC-Holdin. - We conducted a comparative analysis of similar museums. And ours museum complex The only one in the world with so many exhibits! But only a third of the museum has been built in our country. The plans include the construction of a car hangar, an aviation complex, and a parade squad museum. Up to 200,000 people visit our museum annually. Despite the fact that our advertising budget is zero.

According to Evgeny Bragin, these figures could be higher if the infrastructure is properly built. In particular, today there are no buses or trams that will directly take tourists from Yekaterinburg to Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

There is a tram line project, but when will it be implemented? - asks the speaker. – A tourist coming to Yekaterinburg for three days must clearly allocate his time. In addition, each facility must have an internal infrastructure. Personally, we will improve parking and catering. Third, there should be independent visiting places near the industrial facility. And fourth are events. Our May 9 Military Parade attracted 20,000 visitors to the museum in one day!

THE DIAMOND OF INDUSTRIAL TOURISM

Neighbors from Chelyabinsk region didn't lag behind. On Southern Urals There are also plenty of unique productions. The most impressive of them is the workshop of the Chelyabinsk pipe-rolling plant “Vysota 239”. The first workshop in Russia for the production of white metallurgy. No soot, gray gloomy walls and smoking chimneys. The enterprise is more like a museum of modern art. A corridor in the form of a pipe leads inside. The walls are hung with paintings. In the lobby - winter Garden where flowers and trees grow. There is a rock garden on the roof...

The Vysota 239 plant is recognized as a diamond of industrial tourism in Russia! – Deputy Minister of the Chelyabinsk Region Georgy Tsukerman proudly stated. – In addition, on November 9 and 10 in Chelyabinsk, at the site of the Conor industrial enterprise, the Forum of International Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan will be held with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin. The forum will feature an industrial exhibition that will demonstrate our enterprises from an unusual side. We hope that the forum will help us popularize working professions and establish tourism cooperation with neighboring regions.

Interregional routes, according to the deputy minister, are one of the leading areas that will make industrial tourism successful. In this regard, the politician mentioned the “Tourist Destination Ural” project, which unites the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions.

We don’t want tourists to come to us for 20 minutes,” added Georgy Tsukerman. – Our task is to offer not only industrial tourism, but also event, ecological and any other tourism. Therefore, you need to work together!

YELTSIN CENTER IS A HIGH LEVEL

The first conference on industrial tourism was also attended by representatives of Kaliningrad, Tula, Kurgan and other regions.

Many of them came to the Yeltsin Center for the first time.

We felt that a good federal-scale event should take place in the heart of Yekaterinburg. Therefore, a convenient, modern and technically equipped Yeltsin Center was chosen,” explains executive director of the Ural Tourism Association Mikhail Maltsev. - We had guests from 4 countries and 17 regions of our country. High-ranking officials, representatives of the consulates general. It was very convenient that the Yeltsin Center had the opportunity to give our participants a tour of the Museum of the first president Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin.

The guests were shown the Chaika car, in which the first secretary of the regional committee Yeltsin drove around the Sverdlovsk region, as well as the nuclear suitcase that Boris Nikolayevich carried with him when he was already president.

- This the only case“So that such an artifact is exhibited in a public museum,” the Yeltsin Center staff reassured. – All the electronic stuffing was, of course, removed from it.

In addition, those who wished were able to visit Newton Park and the Like-Minded People exhibition - one of the few Russian projects that are intended not only for hearing and seeing people, but also for those who are limited in this.
