Read the law on the official website of the President of the Russian Federation We stayed at the hotel from 04/19 to 05/08/2019. A trip to the Emirates.
We rested at the hotel from 04/19 to 05/08/2019.
We bought a trip to the Emirates from Anex tour. Unfortunately, the adventures began as soon as we checked into the hotel. We arrived on schedule, around 1400, customs and baggage claim took about 30 minutes. But it took us 4 hours to drive us here from the airport, because the hotel is located on the opposite side of the road from the airport and the driver didn’t want to turn around, we traveled with all the tourists , who lived much further from our hotel and the maximum 2 hours promised by the tour operator turned into 4. When, upon exiting the bus, we were indignant at the fact that we were traveling first in one direction and then in the other, the guide from anexa said that if something didn’t okay, we could take a taxi, but she told us it would be a long drive...
When we purchased the tour, it was said that Village Rotana is a new building on the territory of Rotana Cove itself, simply built further from the main buildings, in fact it turned out to be a building built outside of Rotana, between it and the eight-lane highway.
We arrived at the hotel around 18:00 and were immediately checked into building 97 ( this building It is located almost next to a busy highway and therefore it is very noisy even with the windows closed). A couple of days later we came to the reception and, voicing the problem of noise in the room, asked to move us, the manager Dinara agreed with us and that same evening moved us to room 9221. And here our even greater adventures began... there is not much noise here, but still less, but problems began with hot water. If you come to your room after 18:00, then it’s simply not there. We called the reception, a plumber came to us and after 30 minutes they gave us water, so 2 days passed. When we approached the same Dinara at the reception and voiced the problem of lack of water in the morning at 9 o’clock and in the evening after 18 00, we were again offered to move... We didn’t really want to move with three suitcases and two small children once again and we asked if it was possible somehow solve the problem with water, we were promised that yes, it was possible - there was water for a couple of days. But then everything started all over again - we come from the beach, call about the lack of hot water, a plumber comes to us, we wait 40 minutes for it to be turned on. Moreover, everyone is extremely surprised how it’s not... now everything will be... and so on for a week... romance. The guides from Anex (Natalia and Lenar) advised us to go to the reception (as if we hadn’t done this...) and shrugged our shoulders. As it turned out, we were not the only one on our floor who unexpectedly ran out of hot water, as we ran into a neighbor in the hallway, who had to run to the reception soaped in a towel because she couldn’t get through to her. And this hotel is declared as 5*....
It has its own dining room (I can’t call it a restaurant) with not a very large selection of dishes. The food is delicious, but there is no mention of any seafood; what is called seafood here is a sauté of fish and a couple of shrimp if you’re lucky. From meat almost every day, poorly fried steak (this is not for everybody, I don’t eat rare meat..), a couple of types of chicken, duck once a week. Fruits include melons, oranges, pineapples, and if you have time, watermelons, they run out almost instantly and are replaced by oranges))
In the morning, for breakfast, in a tunic for the beach or a sleeveless shirt, you may not be allowed into the restaurant, we had to go change clothes)))
The waiters don’t really like to move tables on the veranda (it’s not convenient for them to walk around) and if you are a large group and are offered to be seated separately, after our sharp refusal, after gritting our teeth, they still organized a table. The waiters there, in principle, are not the most polite and walked around with the appearance that we owe them... bring a kettle of tea for breakfast, which was already on someone’s table and there was nothing left there - this is normal. During lunch there is no table service on the veranda, only in the restaurant.
During the last week of vacation, our dining room was closed and we went to eat at the Cove Rotana restaurant, I can’t say that the food there was very different from ours. The restaurant is an order of magnitude larger, yes, there are dishes that are prepared in your presence, and everything else is the same.
There are no usual evenings with different cuisines, the food is monotonous.
St. Petersburg beer Carlsberg and imported Beks, strong drinks are all local. The range of cocktails included in Ultra Al Inclusive is very limited.
The ice cream, which was so advertised by the guide, is given only to children, it is fruit ice with caustic paint, which then does not wash off in the pool for about 20 minutes.
My daughter and I had a birthday, and as a gift from the hotel they gave us a small cake and decorated the bed with an inscription.
In the evenings there is simply nothing to do here; there is no animation for either children or adults. A couple of times there was a girl DJ. There is a children's club until 18:00, but you have to be there, you can't just take a coloring book and leave - they don't give it))) on the territory of Rotana Cove in the evenings, a couple of times we saw children playing cartoons on a projector, in English, and they invited ours to join.
There is nowhere to leave the territory; the hotel is located along a busy highway with continuous traffic, day or night. There is no way to cross it, just take a taxi. At most, you can walk to the gas station on the left side of the hotel, we went there for ice cream in the evenings (5-15 dirhams), at the hotel the same thing is sold on the beach for 2 times more expensive. You can also buy sliced fruit there; we tried it and didn’t like it.
The territory is very large and beautiful - this is both a plus and a minus. The beach is about 20 minutes on foot, the road along which you go to the beach is busy with traffic, there are a lot of cars and buggies from the hotel itself. You can also wait 20, or even 30 minutes for a car that will take you to the beach ((so it’s better not to forget anything when leaving your room))
The beach bar starts working from 11 am, before that you can only take a bottle of water there, all other drinks from 11 and not a minute earlier). You can only have a snack at the bar at lunchtime; the rest of the time, the maximum you can be offered is nuts and chips.
There are generally problems with getting a snack there, none of the usual all inclusive There are no cookies, sandwiches, pancakes or anything like that, food is only available during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We were a little unlucky in terms of the sea, this year there were a lot of blue stinging jellyfish. A couple of times we didn’t even swim in the sea; we had to go to the pool. Although the water in the sea is very warm in the evening and if there are no jellyfish, then swimming is a pleasure. The beach is comfortable for children, the sand is quite shallow, especially during low tides.
When purchasing the tour, the manager praised the hotel, saying that it was an excellent 5 and our vacation would be unforgettable “in the emirates they don’t talk, they sing there and any of your wishes is quickly fulfilled.” Somehow we didn’t notice this... We really don’t forget the vacation, but alas, not on the positive side. The hotel does not even reach the Greek or Cypriot 4. I’m generally silent about 5. And with this attitude of Anexa and the local hotel staff towards vacationers, there is no desire to return to this hotel at all.
I'll add about excursions. I don't recommend guides. Expensive and in general (((we went to buy furs and leathers, they said it would take 40 minutes (which was important since we have a child) and there was a large selection. The result was that we drove for 1.5 hours, brought them to 1 store. There is nothing else. It’s in a vacant lot. It’s better to take private trips. On excursions to Dubai they will promise a dinner with seafood - don’t believe it. The dinner is complete. The excursions were taken by our neighbors - we wrote about this guy in the reviews. We took his room, so next time we plan to go to heaven. in Abu Dhabi to the mosque and Ferrari park (removed by moderator: unauthorized advertising)

We vacationed at Cove Rotana from May 6 to May 13, 2016. Excellent hotel, 5 stars! I recommend it to everyone who likes calm and comfortable stay, especially families with children. You won’t have to walk in the heat with your children; you will be taken in a buggy at any time and anywhere. The sea is shallow, which is ideal for children, especially during low tides; the child’s happiness knew no bounds! He drove through puddles and streams, dug in the sand. Low tides occur only in summer and depend on the phase of the moon. There were jellyfish from time to time. During low tides there were practically none. There were a lot of crabs, they really attracted the child. Small stingrays were seen 2 times. At the hotel we paid extra and took a water villa with a swimming pool, which we never regretted, in the heat, at lunchtime, we cooled off in the pool, it was a blast :))), we only went to the sea in the evening. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, full of flowers, flowering trees and a variety of plants. Such smells... amazing... Service at the highest level! The room has everything you need for personal hygiene; you don’t have to take anything at all! And every day everything is reported and replenished. Food quality and abundance 100%. There is a children's menu! We found no cons in this hotel! The staff is polite, responsive and very welcoming. You can't do without knowing English :)). There are very few Russians, practically none. But, for us, this is only a plus :)) Everything is very civilized. I recommend!!!

My wife and I spent our vacation at The Cove Rotana Resort in April. A minivan met us from the airport and drove us quickly, under air conditioning. Initially we booked a standard room. Later they changed it to a suite with a sea view. We had to pay extra twenty-two dollars a day for it, but we didn’t regret it, the view is fantastic, and the room itself is more spacious. The hotel staff is amazing. Everyone is kind and responsive. They constantly asked if everything was okay and how to help. The room was cleaned every day. Bed linen and towels were also changed daily, although we did not leave a tip. The hotel area is huge, walking around is simply a pleasure. The beach is great. There is a bar on the beach. We took all-inclusive meals, it was much more profitable. We saved on some drinks at the beach bar because it was hot and we were always thirsty. The restaurant has an abundance of dishes, especially from Thursday to Sunday. At this time there is an influx of locals to the hotel, so the menu becomes richer. The only downside is the expensive internet. There is nothing free anywhere. Well, one more thing you need to know English language, no one will communicate with you in Russian. We were satisfied with our vacation, I think that this hotel is the best in this chain, there is something to compare with.

If you are considering this hotel for relaxation, it means you want to relax without going out on nice beach. Since there is nothing around the hotel, there is no place to leave the hotel. Besides a gas station a 10 minute walk away....More ▾ If you are considering this hotel for a vacation, then you want to relax without leaving on a good beach. Since there is nothing around the hotel, there is no place to leave the hotel. Besides a gas station a 10 minute walk away. There is absolutely nothing to do in the hotel in the evening, so dinner starts at 19:00 and ends at 23:00, people arrive at 18:30 and take good places on the street and sits until closing, because there is nothing else to do, or in the room to watch TV (Russian channel 1).
From Dubai airport it took exactly 1 hour to get to the hotel.
I will repeat this beach hotel(600 meters own beach) so first of all, briefly about the beach. The entire hotel was built artificially on the principle of an embankment in the sea, entering the sea along CONCRETE STEPS, which were overgrown with shells below. The sea is constantly changing, stormy for 5 days - yellow flag, 5 days low tide - knee-deep sea.
It is not possible to swim with children during a storm. It is worth noting that even swimming slippers will not save you from injuries, because when you get out of the water along the steps, the waves hit your back very hard, more than half of the hotel walked around with broken knees, legs, and feet. By the way, the rescuers immediately provide help, bandage, smear, etc., then they always ask for the room number. We had the AL food type for this bill. medical care I didn’t include it, but I don’t know if it was free or not. When the sea is stormy there, the water clogs up right up the steps.
The second danger is on the beach when the tide is low. The beach is gorgeous, the water disappears, a huge strip of sand appears and at the same moment a strand of n-th cloud of kilometers looms, to swim you go, go, go and all the time up to your knees, it’s sad because the water in September is like fresh milk - +28 degrees . The danger is that where there are knee-deep stingrays, and jokes aside, there are not 1-2 of them, but where there are about 10 swimming, they are very large and poisonous in size. Where they give out towels in all languages, there are warnings with pictures that they are floating everywhere and what to do if it stings you. It is worth noting that before our eyes people were stung more than once, both an English grandmother and a young man. The fact is that the color of these stingrays is like sand and practically when you walk you can’t see them, and God forbid you catch it or even worse step on it, the stingray has a tail 30-40 cm long, with this tail it hits you right under the knee. Again, I repeat, swimming slippers will not save you!!! In general, I won’t tell all the passions about it; if you decide to go, read on the Internet what a stingray is.
When the tide is low, the sea is knee-deep and even where it is deep, it is completely strewn with starfish. By the way, they are alive and prickly, that is, without swimming slippers it is very, very unpleasant to walk in the water!!!
There are very few sun loungers on the 600 meter strip of beach! Although the space allows, in the second half it is problematic to find a free place, as well as to get a towel. A lot of tourists were swearing about where the sun loungers were, but unfortunately they didn’t even have any spare ones to put.
If you have AL meals, then the beach bar is free - ONLY drinks according to the list.
It is worth noting that the minibar in the room is paid! That's why people took it from the beach and carried it to their room.
Wi-Fi is paid everywhere. Moreover, it is very expensive, 30 minutes - 7 dollars. The speed is terrible.
Nutrition. It’s very strange that we never considered ourselves picky eaters, but we walked around 3 and 4 times with this unfortunate plate, because there was really no way to grab something tasty. We really didn't like it. In 10 days there were 3 times that shrimp and fish were fried on the street, lobster and oysters were served. True, they had a very big Muslim holiday, Eid al-Fitr, which lasts 3 days, so I won’t say in the rest of the weeks they also feed like that or not. It was a Mexican evening - when it was impossible to eat, everything was in chili. They constantly served sushi and a lot of Indian-Thai food. Soups are pure puree soup from broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes - and all this is powdered, from instant packets. Desserts are in small, laid out plastic plates and cups, portion sizes are 2 cm by 2 cm (for one bite), desserts have not changed at all in 10 days.
In general, during the entire period of travel, it was the first time that we saw salads and desserts packaged like this in small, very small plastic plates - this is so that they don’t eat a lot;) Moreover, they are not disposable!!! Well, other than that, it’s okay because it’s not tasty.
The rooms are cleaned only by men, other than that the way they were cleaned was bad!
It is possible to move around the territory only by electric vehicles, we lived in the HOTEL building on the 6th level, there are only about 12 of them, once we went to the beach on foot, it took about 15 minutes down and 20 minutes back, because you need to walk down a huge mountain. Therefore, the remaining 9 days cannot be avoided without electric cars.
Speaking of entertainment, they had parties on the beach with DJs several times a week, we went once and realized that it was in vain. There were no people there at all, a couple of Muslim men sat smoking pipes and that was the whole party. By the way, some of them also have an entrance fee!
The pools are beautiful, but it is very hot by the pool, on the beach there is even a wind blowing from the sea, but by the pool it is completely calm. And the water in the sea is 1000 times better than in the pool, and most importantly warmer :)
Honestly, the hotel is beautiful, very colorful, in the village-village style for a lot of money - it’s not worth it. We have been to the UAE 3 times and were not satisfied!
