In the winter of 2017, I suddenly remembered Karlovy Vary, and so I was drawn there, I was ready to go “right now.” But... my wife convinced me to postpone the vacation to the beginning of the season: 05.28-11.06. The organization of the tour was entrusted to Biblio Globus - special thanks to them! Over the years, we have developed a hotel selection strategy -the main thing: location and second: a certain level of comfort that we cannot sacrifice. We travel for the sake of the territory, the country, the city... We chose a hotel long and painstakingly, paid for a standard room in February... and... life is waiting for a miracle...! Sometimes the anticipation is sweeter than the event itself. But reality exceeded expectations! We climb the steep steps of the hotel with our suitcases, small area at the reception desk we hand over our passports and... the first compliment from the hotel: room increased comfort with a view of the Dvořík Gardens and a free excursion to the Becherevka Museum. Good start! We love such hotels, small, only 23 rooms, location: everything is at hand, sources are nearby (and this is the main reason we are here) - drink water 40 minutes before meals, plus procedures - it’s almost like work... for pleasure. After 2-3 days we got to know all the staff and we felt like home. And so on about the location: the very beautiful Sadovaya street from the hotel leads to the Russian church and to the trails on observation decks"Deer Leap", "Diana", "Charles IV". In front of the hotel, the Dvorzhik Gardens and the lace “Garden Gallery” are a wonderful place to greet the morning and enjoy the riot of colors and aromas of blooming summer. To the right is a series of galleries for springs and a place for leisurely walks to the heart of Karlovy Vary - the Geyser. To the left is the central post office and shopping center, a little higher is Moskovskaya Street - entirely of mansions, stunningly beautiful architecture! The Karlovy Vary resort is special, and there is a lot of Russian in it. Russian language on the streets and hotels of any level, Russian speakers from America, Israel, CIS countries, Germany... and so on for many years. One day, after dinner in a restaurant, we were talking about life with a couple from Moldova, and then an elderly, but fit, couple from Israel came in and joined our leisurely conversation... And then it turned out that the Israelis were born and lived in Moldova in the same town where did our interlocutors from Moldova come from! And then began a chain of memories of the wonderful (as it turned out!) youth of our new acquaintances... before the restaurant closed and beyond... And then I saw the answer to my question - what calls Russian speakers here to Karlovy Vary? Well, except for the Geyser and the wonderful resort place. How ruthless, so indifferent the wheel of history has rolled through hundreds, thousands of families... scattering millions of destinies across different corners of the planet. And even having found its warm corner and a secure old age, the restless soul of the once Soviet man tries to restore what was destroyed, to find the lost connections of youth... But it is no longer possible to go back, but a date with the past is real. Karlovy Vary has become a place where those who have not lost Their History gather, who have not trampled into dust or parquet the memory of the youth of a Soviet person. The Sirius Hotel is just that place of a wonderful resort where restless souls are close as nowhere else, thanks to the warm, homely atmosphere created by absolutely all the hotel staff. You went on an excursion: lunch was missing and you don’t have time for dinner, no problem - the hotel administration has provided for everything: packed lunch for lunch, “Cutting No. 7” awaits you for dinner, neatly and carefully placed on a plate under plastic wrap by the wonderful chefs Milano and Marco. Caring Svetlana, like a mother, will turn on the light in the restaurant and your belated dinner turns into a romantic one. I would especially like to point out that you do not need to negotiate or explain for a long time, just inform the kind waitress Lucie or her colleagues and mark it in the food order column. The SPA and treatment area is located mainly on the ground floor, a little cramped but compact and no running around, Sharky’s team (the head of the SPA center) works quickly and accurately, everyone is surrounded by the care of Pavel and Vera, and you just put on a white fluffy robe in the room and go down to the procedures either by stairs or on an antique lace elevator. They will give you youth there!!!…
