It’s nice that even our driver, in addition to his main job, which he handled masterfully, also suggested the best way to buy an economical metro pass. The food at the hotel was quite modest (we only had breakfast - the Parisian version), but this did not spoil the mood at all, because you could cook in your room if you really wanted to. The excursion program is very interesting, I have a complete and vivid picture of Barcelona in my memory + a lot of impressions from trips to Figueres and Gerona, and also to Montserrat (I would not have gotten there on my own). A well-thought-out program allowed me to see everything I wanted - the Museum of Catalan Art, the Liceu Theater, the Palace of Catalan Music, Gothic Quarter and the Sagrada Familia, the Raval quarter, the Museum of the History of Barcelona, the Hospital of Po and the Two Magi, the Batlo mansion and the Guell mansion (all this not only from the outside, but also from the inside). I walked around the city until I dropped, rode around the Barcelona metro, and also ate and got drunk on delicious wine and wine in local restaurants. fruit juices. And how can we not mention the first day in the city and a wonderful evening with dinner in the Spanish Village. On all excursions and trips there were very kind and caring guides, in addition to a lot of exciting and interesting information During the trip, you could always turn to them for help and clarification if necessary. You could also always contact the group supervisor from the company with questions and problems. I was very worried that they would suddenly forget about me during the transfer to the airport, because I was flying separately from the others on Saturday evening, and not in the morning. The worries were in vain, as was promised, the day before a fax arrived and it wasn’t even the host party’s bus that came for me, but city taxi. Not a trip, but some kind of sheer pleasure! There are very smiling and friendly people around, who will help and advise you just as well as the guides. Oh! I was also very lucky on April 23 - National holiday Catalonia, St. George's Day, according to tradition, on this day men give their women a burgundy rose with a long stem, to which is tied a ribbon in the colors of the flag of Catalonia, and ladies give books to men. And on this day, the entire Rambla turned into a huge book market, there was simply no crowding around the counters! And in the evening, when I returned to my room, I found on my table a burgundy rose on a long stem with a ribbon and a congratulation from the hotel - very nice, this rose made me happy until my departure! I would like to advise everyone who is going on a similar tour to fly with a Spanish company: you arrive in the morning and at about 10 local time you are already at the hotel (I was checked in immediately, although officially only from 15, it probably depends on the season), you fly with the Spanish company to Saturday evening, not in the morning and the whole day is left. Keep in mind that there is no food on the flight and you need to buy everything, but mostly everyone sleeps, so it won’t be very expensive. Interestingly, about 10 years ago I went with DSBW to Benelux (I don’t remember the name of the tour, unfortunately), I also returned from that trip with the most pleasant impressions! It's a pleasure to work with a company that employs such qualified employees and professionals!

While most white cities sought to protect their status on top of high cliffs, the inhabitants of Setenil did something completely different and did not take refuge in the dark caves under the steep cliffs of the Trejo River. Basalt here replaces walls, canopies and ceilings, forming amazing natural arches. The stone blocks seem ready to collapse at any moment, but the history of Setenil de las Bodegas goes back more than eight centuries - and during this time not a single urban structure was destroyed. Many of the original cave houses have survived to this day, some have been converted into cozy bars and restaurants. In the upper part of the city there is a 12th-century castle, captured by Christians exactly eight years before the fall of Granada.
