Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah – Reviews. Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah – Reviews Radisson Blu Sharjah Tours

The hotel is good, but already old))).
Hello, about our holiday in the UAE, first time May 2019. RAMADAN
For some reason, I wasn’t even alarmed by the fact that there were 16 of us on the plane, but then they told me that it’s Ramadan in the UAE and there are almost no tourists at this time. I’ll say right away that I bought a ticket a day before departure, I wanted to take the children to the sea, the closest place I could fly where it was warm from the allowed countries turned out to be the UAE.
Arrival:
We arrived at Dubai airport in the evening, were met by a guide and put into the car, drove to the hotel on a Minibus in 1 hour and 20 minutes, and dropped off some tourists at the Marina. The guide did not go with us to the hotel, he said that there would be no problems with check-in and left somewhere along the road.
Check-in:
We arrived at the hotel late, no one speaks RUSSIAN. We moved in immediately, there is no tax in Sharjah, no deposit was taken. They fed us dinner, we took breakfast and dinner. There is only one man in the hotel who speaks Russian, he works at the reception (it doesn’t always happen at night), no one else from the staff will understand you (if you don’t speak English well).
Number:
The rooms are already old, a lot of wood and carpets already have a specific smell, I was very worried, since the child is allergic, but everything worked out. We lived on the 5th floor. Room with two single beds. There are no balconies in this hotel; windows open only upon request. The hotel manager came in the morning, we did not understand each other, but after his arrival they immediately brought a small bed for the child. The room has an electronic safe, a mini refrigerator (ours was empty), bathrobes, slippers, shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, soap, body lotion, everything was left in large quantities. There is an ironing board and iron. Cleaning every day, no problems with towels, bed sheets were changed every day. Also a TV with two Russian channels, a kettle, water, cafe tea, sugar, cream. Take an adapter with you or you will have to buy it there, there are a lot of sockets, only there was only one adapter in the room, we bought a second one.
Hotel:
The hotel area is small, you can only stay and eat there, nothing else to do on the ground floor huge waterfall, which the first nights prevented me from sleeping, I got used to the sound of water and prayers after 5 days. 2 elevators arrive quickly.
Beach:
The beach is very good sand shallow, entry into the sea is smooth, super for children. It’s clean, the only port nearby is right across the breakwater, it’s a little strange when huge ships arrive, but we didn’t see any dirt. There aren’t very many sunbeds and umbrellas (but there were about 15 vacationers, I repeat, because it’s Ramadan, so we didn’t have any problems, but given how busy the hotel is, I don’t think there will be enough for everyone. During our period, there wasn’t even a bar on the beach and there was a problem with water, We went to the store to buy. Everything near the pool was closed, except for the wooden slide on the beach, there was nothing for the children to do at the sea during this period only until 12.00, then it was very hot and then only after 16.00. small children's room with a small canopy. Towels on cards near the pool.
Near the hotel:
In the evenings we walked around Sharjah and knew everything around us!!! Next door to the port, if you walk along the embankment there are a lot of Indians and fishing boats, the smell is very bad and strong. There is a mosque next to the hotel and they constantly played prayers very often and very loudly, they even disturbed our sleep. Not far away, about 5 minutes on foot and you are in a large food supermarket, it is open around the clock, but all other stores opened only after 19.00, along the road there are many cafes and shops, pharmacies, markets, if you forgot something, be sure to buy everything. The air conditioning in the stores works very hard, you walk in and freeze. The weather was very hot. You can’t eat on the streets, you can’t even chew gum for a child, you can’t drink water either, you had to cover the child with a jacket and let him drink.
Nutrition
In the hotel restaurant, a festive dinner began at 19.00 and all the locals came, celebrated, there were a lot of people, and then at 21.00 the usual dinner for hotel residents began. We are not very picky about food, breakfast is the usual eggs, porridge, cereal, although the juice is very tasty and freshly squeezed, local sausage and cheese, toast, vegetables, there was always fruit salad, there was not enough fruit, only for breakfast watermelon, melon and canned peaches, dinner there was no fruit at all, twice we saw a couple of oranges and apples. For dinner there was always chicken, meat, sometimes fish, puree soups, salads that were really terrible and very often there were a lot of flies around them. There weren't many sweets at all, just cake and jelly, pasta, potatoes, some dishes were very spicy.
Eviction:
Check-out is at 12.00, we paid extra and they let us stay without any problems because the flight was after 16.00 and we didn’t want to sit at the reception with the children.
From the not pleasant:
In the evening I was sitting with two children on the sofa right opposite the reception, we were getting ready to go for a walk, we went out the door and remembered that the children had forgotten their sunglasses and baseball caps on the table, they returned in less than 2 minutes, but nothing happened. The girls from the reception turned away from me and showed with gestures that they didn’t understand me (even though there was even a camera there). It’s a pity that the children were upset, but it was no longer pleasant, then they were smarter and more attentive to things. At the hotel, no one will explain or give you any advice, the staff does not speak Russian and is not very friendly.
Where to go:
My eldest child, 5 years old, and I took a taxi to the aquarium in Sharjah, we were there ALONE, he really liked it, and we went to a museum nearby, a common ticket. In Ramadan there is no one anywhere, emptiness is everywhere, but look at the schedule on the Internet, everything works according to a different schedule. True, they barely found a taxi back, because it was time for prayers, there were about 20 cars parked, but they couldn’t go until they all read long prayers. I had to go out onto a huge highway and catch a car there. I went everywhere alone with my child in a taxi, all on the meter, there were no seats, I held the little one in my arms for 2 years. The stroller is placed in the trunk; in all taxis it is empty. We also went to an amusement park and to the market with trains, also by taxi on our own, and walked everywhere, we took all the information from the Internet, a lot of things were closed during this Ramadan period, for example, we never got to the fountains.
