Adventures in the Imperial City

The Imperial City offers many activities in which you can participate. Depending on whether you're strictly interested in PVE, PVP, or both, here are some ways to spend your time in the Imperial City:

  • White Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison - new dungeons for four players
  • Player alliance battle with Molag Bal's forces, including Xivkyn, in the Imperial Sewers and six districts of the Imperial City
  • Obtain Daedric trophies by killing monsters to open the Treasure Vaults that are located around the Imperial City. You can find jewelry for veteran rank 16 and other rare items in them.

  • Come on in storyline Imperial City, started by Drake of Blades
  • Collect Tel Var stones by defeating Molag Bal's minions and players of other alliances, and try to save them!
  • Enter the sewers of the Imperial City and hunt Trove Scamps for gold and crafting materials and Cunning Scamps for Tel Var stones.
  • Look for the pages of the new motif - Xivkyn - to craft a new style of armor and weapons!

  • Receive powerful armor and veteran rank 16 weapons by completing dungeons - the White Gold Tower and the Imperial Prison (and completing Dauntless quests in them), and also exchange your Tel Var stones for veteran rank 16 sets
  • Craft three new sets at designated crafting stations in the Imperial City
  • Earn new collectibles for achievements by killing Molag Bal's elite forces in the Imperial Sewers and trading for Tel Var Stones

Exit from the Imperial City

There are two ways you can leave the Imperial City: through the Imperial City Prison or White-Gold Tower, and through your alliance's home base in the Imperial Sewers.

  • If you leave the Imperial City through the Imperial City Prison or the White Gold Tower, you will be taken to your alliance's capital;
  • If you choose to exit through your alliance's home base in the Imperial Sewers, you will return to your home base in Cyrodiil. You can also teleport from the alliance base in the sewers to any Pvee location.

Travels in the Imperial City

In each Imperial Sewer base you will find a travel center, with its help you can quickly get to any of the six districts of the Imperial City.

You can also travel on foot or on your trusty steed!

Other tips

  • You can enter the Imperial City from level 10, including group dungeons. (The Imperial City has a combat leveling system like the rest of Cyrodiil, but this does not apply to the White-Gold Tower and the Imperial Prison)
  • Each alliance base in the Imperial Sewers has Tel Var traders and a full set of crafting stations for your needs
  • Stealth is your friend! Sneak to avoid danger - this will increase your survivability among the Imperial City
  • Leave your siege weapons in the jar. Due to the unstable condition of many buildings in the Imperial City, siege weapons cannot be used
  • The population of the Imperial City depends on your campaign (excluding the White Gold Tower and the Imperial Prison, they are separate instances)
  • Your actions in the Imperial City do not in any way affect the success of your alliance in the PvP campaign

Now you know the basics and are ready to fight for your alliance in the Imperial City! See you there!

Crooked Excellent translation @alkodav!

Imperial City (orig.Imperial City) located in the central part of Cyrodiil. During the Alliance War, three alliances and Daedra vie with each other for control of the White Gold Tower.
The imperial city is surrounded by a wide and deep moat filled with water, several stone bridges are thrown across it, connecting the city with the rest of the territory of Cyrodiil. If you decide to get into the city using bridges, you will be stopped by an impenetrable, forceful barrier that will stop you and not let you through its city gates. Also, if you try to swim across the moat on the water, this will lead to the rapid death of your character from the attack of many killer fish (Slaughterfish).
For those who have purchased the DLC or are ESO Plus members, the entrance to the Imperial City will be accessible through the underground Imperial Sewers. After installing the DLC, all unions in all companies will have open access to the city; another alternative access will be allowed when one of the alliances controls all six fortresses during an alliance war.
The Imperial City is divided into six Imperial Districts, connected by the Imperial Sewer. Each alliance in the sewers has its own small base, from where it provides itself with quick access to the imperial areas, but you will return to the base from these areas through the sewers. The gameplay in the sewers is very similar to a large PvP public dungeon, while the areas will involve traversal and combat. Tel Var Stones are earned and used only within the Imperial City. When your character dies, stones may be lost. The Imperial City also has entrances to two stand-alone PvE Group Dungeons, the Imperial City Prison and the White-Gold Tower.

  • Earn new collectibles by completing achievements, slaying Molag Bal's elite forces, and selling Tel Var Stones.

Leaving the Imperial City

There are two ways to leave the Imperial City: by completing the White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison dungeons, or by exiting through your alliance's safe zone in the Imperial Sewers.

  • If you decide to leave the Imperial City through the White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison dungeons, you will find yourself in the capital of your alliance.
  • You can also exit the same way you entered the Imperial City - through the Imperial Sewers. As a result, you will find yourself in Cyrodiil, in the same campaign you were in before entering the city.

Neighborhoods of the Imperial City

In each of the branches of the imperial sewers you will find a transit fork. Use the stairs in it to quickly get to one of the six areas.

You can also travel around the areas on foot or riding your favorite mount.

  • You can enter the Imperial City and engage in activities there, including group dungeons, at level 10 (after entering the Imperial City, combat leveling will be applied to all content except the White-Gold Tower and Prison dungeons Imperial City Prison).
  • In each alliance's main quarters in the Imperial Sewers, you'll find Tel Var Stones merchants and crafting stations ready to go.
  • Stealth is your friend! As you move around the Imperial City, sneak and remain quiet to avoid the dangers of the capital.
  • Forget about siege weapons. Due to the high explosive potential of some buildings in the Imperial City, siege weapons cannot be used within its boundaries.
  • The population of the Imperial City depends on the campaign you choose. The White-Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison dungeons are not affected by the campaign population.
  • Activities in the Imperial City are independent of and do not affect your campaign.

Now that you know the basics, you are ready to fight for your alliance in the Imperial City. We'll meet there!

Visit the Imperial City - the capital of the Empire and the province of Cyrodiil, one of largest cities Tamriel. To access the Imperial City you will need at least level 10, but your character will be leveled according to the rules of the specific campaign. The Imperial City is a global PvP zone, which also includes extensive network Imperial sewer. Fight the forces of Molag Bal and get Tel Var stones, which you can later exchange for various items. But be careful, because members of the enemy alliance are lurking in the shadows and can attack you at the most inopportune moment in order to kill you and take the Tel Var stones from you. It is better not to venture into the Imperial City and its sewers without a close-knit group, but if you are confident in your abilities, you can try your luck and become a threat to the lost adventurer yourself.

How to get to the Imperial City

To open the Alliance War screen, press the "L" key or the "Alliance War" button. Next, travel through the home or guest campaign of your choice.

In Cyrodiil, travel to one of the two gates of your Alliance and to get to the Imperial City, talk to the captain and accept the quest. You can also receive a quest from one of your generals in the Imperial Sewers.

On the map around Lake Rumare there are three icons in the shape of an imperial dragon. These icons correspond to the gate leading to the Imperial Sewers. Use transport network fortresses to get as close to the lake as possible, then drive to the door and enter the sewers through one of the gates.

When you enter the Imperial City, you will find yourself in the Imperial Sewers, your alliance's home base. If you accepted the quest from one of the captains of your alliance, you can advance in the story and talk to the general in that area. If you have not completed the quest yet, it will be offered to you.

To complete the quest, speak with Drake of Blades at your home base and go on an adventure!

Districts of the Imperial City

Districts of the Imperial City are open PvP spaces containing the entrenched forces of Molag Bal, his elite army of Xivkyn and the corrupted traitor to the Empire, the Zero Legion.

Each district of the Imperial City has its own unique story, which, once completed, unlocks daily repeatable quests.

Each of the six Imperial districts has a Trophy Vault. The doors of these vaults are sealed by unknown magical forces. To get into these vaults, you need to collect a key from 60 shards, which you can get both in the Imperial City itself and in the dungeons of this DLC. Inside you will find a chest filled with valuables.

Be on your guard against the big bosses patrolling the streets! If you die in the Imperial City, you lose half of your accumulated Tel Vars.

Reviving in the Imperial Districts will take you to your alliance's elevated platform within the district, provided the district is captured by your alliance.

You can also find unique crafting stations safely located in the Imperial areas.

In each area you will find a trophy vault and a dangerous boss!

Imperial City Sewers

The Imperial Sewers is a huge public dungeon. There are alliance bases at three different ends of the sewer. Each base has safe exits to the surface, as well as a merchant, banker, and crafting stations. This is where you can exchange your Tel Vars for unique goods, such as Zivkyn polymorphs.

The sewers are a huge, intricate labyrinth infested with Daedra, where you can find chests, mini bosses and much more. But the main interest is the center - it is there that the portals are located, by clearing which you can summon the Simulacrum of Molag Bal. By destroying it, you can receive a Fireskin Scamp pet or a Soulstruck shell as a reward.

Stealth is your best friend! Remember that in addition to the hordes of Daedra, there is a much greater danger here - players of the enemy alliance!

Tel Var Stones

Tel Var Stones are a currency that can only be obtained in the Imperial City and its sewers.

The tougher the enemy, the more Tel Vars you will receive. Tel Var goes to all participants in the battle. The more Tel Vars you have in your hands, the higher the multiplier for receiving this currency. This currency can be spent on new armor, safes, unique furniture, polymorphs and much more.

If you die in the Imperial City or the sewers, you will lose part of the Tel Var! If another player kills you, part of the Tel Var will go to him! Therefore, do not forget to transfer your Tel Vars to the bank from time to time, so as not to lose everything you have accumulated! A special sigil will help you with this, teleporting you to the base of your alliance.

Dungeons of the Imperial City

The Imperial City DLC provides access to two dungeons for 4 people - the White Gold Tower and the Imperial City Prison. Uncover the Mystery of Empress Regent Clivia Tharn and journey to the very top of the legendary White-Gold Tower
