Where is the best place to vacation with children in Vietnam? Is it worth going to Vietnam with children? Which ones are most suitable for families with children?

Hello, friends!

Agree, among the countries of Southeast Asia, Vietnam is somehow completely undeservedly relegated to the background by such undoubtedly popular destinations as Thailand or Bali (Indonesia).

Although in terms of quality of recreation, local exoticism, unique cuisine and beach pleasures, tourist Vietnam is perhaps in no way inferior to the famous resorts of these countries.

And besides, if you don’t have a lot of money in your wallet, but still want to relax (and have a good rest at the same time), then warm, welcoming and friendly Vietnam is perhaps the most economical and safest place among the Asian countries of this tourist destination.

So, let's start discovering new resorts and cities in Southeast Asia. And today we are leaving for Vietnam.

Vietnam on the map

If you look closely at the map of Vietnam, you will notice that the contours of this state are somewhat reminiscent of the outlines of a fairy-tale dragon located along the coast of the South China Sea from north to south. Apparently, it’s not for nothing that the Vietnamese consider themselves descendants of the dragon king Lac Long Quan, who ruled this country many thousands of years ago (at least, so says the ancient Vietnamese legend).

This peculiar geographical location explains why the cities in northern, central and southern parts of Vietnam have such different climates and why some of them are better visited in winter and others in summer.

Weather and climate in Vietnam

Vietnam is a country that can be visited all year round. The average annual air temperature ranges from +26°C to +29°C; the water temperature also allows swimming and sunbathing at any time of the year.

But in different parts of Vietnam the climate is noticeably different. And here it is important not to make a mistake with the vacation spot.

  • In the northern part of Vietnam (from Hanoi to the seaside resort of Ha Long), the best time to travel is from April to May or September and October. At this time, the temperature here is quite comfortable, without sweltering heat. In winter, especially at night, it is quite cold. From May to September – the rainy season begins, which is accompanied by high humidity.
  • In the south of the country (from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet) there is no cold weather; it is always either hot and humid or just warm. Spring, summer, autumn, winter do not replace each other, as usual, because there are only two seasons: from May to November - the rainy season (the rainiest period is June-August) and the dry season - from December to April. This part of Vietnam, like the resorts of Thailand and Cambodia, is more suitable for holidays in the winter months, the best of which are January and February.
  • You should not go to the central part of the country (approximately from Nha Trang to the city of Hue) in October and November (this is the time when typhoons hit the coast), as well as in January and February, when the water is not yet very warm for swimming, but from March to August is the best time for a holiday with children in this part of Vietnam.

Is it worth going to Vietnam with children?

Considering that Vietnam is located at a great distance from Russia and that it is an exotic country with an unusual tropical climate for us, many parents have questions: is it possible to take small children on vacation to Vietnam and what else, besides weather conditions, is needed? What should you consider when planning a trip to Vietnam with children?

Opinions on this matter vary, and each parent decides for himself whether or not to take his child on a trip. But, probably, we need to remember that the body of young children (under 5 years old) does not yet know how to quickly rebuild and adapt to new conditions and, to a greater extent, is at risk of contracting any infectious or tropical diseases. Malaise can be triggered by even a simple change in climate, water and unusual food.

And yet, the majority of experienced parent travelers claim that if you follow basic safety rules, traveling with your child to this distant country will bring a lot of pleasure and positivity.

Do you need a visa to Vietnam?

Russians do not need a visa to travel to Vietnam if the trip does not exceed 15 days. All you need is a valid passport, valid for 3 months from the date of entry into the country, and a return ticket (or a ticket to a third country). The presence of the latter is not always checked.

If you want to spend more time in Vietnam, you need to apply for a visa in advance at the embassy, consulate or online through the Vietnam Immigration Department and receive it upon arrival.

The Vietnamese are very loyal to Russian tourists, so the visa procedure is simple and does not require much time.

It is possible to extend a visa directly in some cities of Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City) or by contacting local travel agencies. This service is inexpensive.

When a child under 18 years of age enters Vietnam with one parent, written consent is required from the other parent or a power of attorney from both if the child is traveling unaccompanied.

While visiting Vietnam, you can visit its neighboring countries, which can also be visited without a visa (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand).

How to get to Vietnam?

You can fly to Vietnam not only from Moscow or St. Petersburg, but also from many other Russian cities. Travel time (the flight from Moscow lasts 9-10 hours) helps to while away the fact that regular flights Moscow-Ho Chi Minh City and Moscow-Hanoi operate mainly at night or in the evening, and children will sleep most of the way.

There are 9 international airports in Vietnam, four of which have regular connections with Russia: in Ho Chi Minh City - Tan Son Nhat, 45 kilometers from Hanoi - Noi Bai Airport, Danang Airport (located three kilometers from the city) and the airport in Nha Trang - Cam Ranh (you can reach the city get there in about half an hour by taxi or bus).

Direct flights are operated by Aeroflot and the Vietnamese company Vietnam Airlines from Moscow to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, there may be options offered by other European and Asian carriers with connections in other countries.

There are many flights and purchasing air tickets is not difficult. You can find, select and book air tickets at the best rates using search services.

Thus, the most budget option for a flight from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City in June will cost 19,830 rubles round trip (departure - June 23, return - June 29). And I managed to find it on the website Momondo.ru.

By the way, it is very convenient to use: having specified the direction and date, we get a list of flights we need and select from it what suits us in all respects (by date, price, transfers).

The website provides a lot of additional and clarifying information. And the search for offers suitable in terms of price, date and conditions is made easier by a convenient low price calendar, which shows the cost of tickets for the entire month and the dates when you can buy the cheapest ticket.

Transport in Vietnam

There are a total of 27 airports in Vietnam, and therefore you can quickly and very inexpensively travel by plane not only within the country, but also to neighboring countries in Southeast Asia. Experienced tourists speak well of the budget Vietnamese airline VietJetAir (VitJetAir).

Rail services connect the north and south of the country, and many major cities can be visited in comfort, such as on the Reunion Express.

Almost anywhere in Vietnam can be reached by bus. Tickets are cheap, but travel conditions are not the best (old buses that travel at low speeds are often overcrowded). You can get to your desired location with great comfort using a minibus rented from a transport company.

As an alternative to land transport, you can consider water transport, which is used very widely in Vietnam, and its routes pass through many interesting tourist spots. In addition, this type of transport is inexpensive.

Urban transport in Vietnam is poorly developed and mainly only in large cities. The main means of transportation around the city are taxis and motorcycle taxis.

Taxis in Vietnam are inexpensive and can be ordered from a hotel or restaurant. Or you can just stop him on the street by raising your hand. It is important to make sure that the meter is turned on, and it is better to discuss the fare in advance; experienced tourists recommend bargaining.

This is a peculiarity of Vietnamese taxis - taxi drivers often go to some lengths to deceive tourists: they inflate the fare, adjust the meter, or choose the longest route.

Well, a completely exotic way of transportation is motorcycle and pedicabs. In the tourist cities of Vietnam, this type of travel is popular among tourists and is quite inexpensive (around 1 dollar).

You can also rent a car, but due to the difficulties in complying with traffic rules (or rather, non-compliance) in Vietnam, it is better to rent a car with a driver or rent a motorcycle, moped or bicycle. These types of transport are very popular in Vietnam.

According to the online news publication VietnamTimes, in Hanoi, and later in other major cities, it is planned to organize a city bike sharing network not only for residents of the country, but also for tourists, who are increasingly using bicycles to explore city attractions.

The best resorts in Vietnam

Vietnam is a country of contrasts and a combination of seemingly incongruous things. This is a country in which people of different nationalities, lovers of oriental exotica, sophisticated gourmets - everyone feels equally happy.

Tourists from Russia will undoubtedly be pleased that in this hospitable country you can easily do without knowledge of foreign languages. The streets of tourist cities are full of signs in Russian, almost any restaurant has a menu not only in local and English, but also in Russian, and in hotels there will also be no problems communicating with the staff.

Moreover, in Vietnam you can often find inscriptions, objects and details reminiscent of Soviet times, which we have already forgotten about at home. For example, don’t be surprised if you see a monument to Lenin, symbols of the USSR or a Vietnamese pioneer.

In addition, Vietnam is a country of modern cities and magnificent resorts. And, to make it easier to navigate, we will conditionally divide them by territorial basis.

Tours to Vietnam

Resorts of Northern Vietnam

Hanoi

Hanoi is the capital of the country, a very old city (exists since the 11th century), a cultural, economic and political center.

The city consists of several districts. It is located far from the coast, and therefore a beach holiday is excluded here. But those who like to learn new things and see the sights will certainly enjoy Hanoi.

Most of its attractions are located in the Old Town. Experienced travelers recommend leaving a couple of days to explore the city. And if you take a taxi, you can see everything in one day.

"Lake of the Returned Sword" and West Lake (the largest in Hanoi), ancient pagodas ("One Pillar Pagoda" and "Jade Mountain Temple"), Flag Tower and "Turtle Tower", Red Bridge, many war museums, Ho Chi Mausoleum Mina, Van Mieu Temple of Literature (the first educational institution in Southeast Asia, founded in the 11th century) is not a complete list of what can be seen in this city.

There are places near Hanoi that everyone who has visited Vietnam simply must visit - Ha Long Bay (Fallen Dragon Bay) - a beautiful place and a world-recognized wonder of the world. The bay is located 160 kilometers from Hanoi.

Thousands of islands with rocky and steep shores emerge from the clear emerald water. There are many tiny beaches, grottoes and beautiful underground caves, excellent observation decks with amazing views of the bay and the ships that bring tourists here.

Among the natural attractions, you can visit the Fragrant Pagoda - this is a large cave and sacred temple inside a huge rock, which is a place of pilgrimage for the Vietnamese.

It is located about two hours from Hanoi, and you can only get there by water. And from the boat to the pagoda by cable car.

Where to go in Hanoi with children?

Water Puppet Theater on Hoan Kiem Lake

Water Puppet Theater an unusual theatrical performance that does not exist in any other country. However, these performances are equally interesting for both adults and children.

Ho Tay Water Park

This is an amusement and water park located on the shores of West Lake. Here you can escape the summer heat for a while and spend a few hours of fun with your children.

This is a museum and an open-air recreation of an ethnographic Vietnamese village.

It will be of interest to those who want to better know the history, life and culture of the Vietnamese people.

Vietnam Military History Museum

The museum is interesting for its collection of real military equipment, probably primarily for boys and their dads. You can not only look at the exhibits, but also take pictures and touch them with your hands.

By the way, TripAdvisor provided interesting statistics for those who like to travel on a budget. According to analysts of this site, the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, is recognized as the cheapest tourist city in the world this summer. A stay from June to August in a 4* hotel (one night), dinner in a restaurant and a cocktail in a 5* hotel, as well as round trip taxi travel from the airport will cost two adult tourists $155.3.

Resorts of Central Vietnam

Danang and Hoi An

These seaside resorts are located approximately 40 kilometers from each other. For tourists and vacationers, these places are attractive, first of all, for their wonderful sandy beaches, which stretch for several kilometers along the clean and warm South China Sea, and are interesting for those who like to study the history of other peoples.

Another plus is that the beaches in Da Nang are located close to the city center and from where vacationers live (which cannot be said about the beaches in Hoi An, which are far from hotels).

Da Nang has its own airport and is easily accessible from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The best time to relax here is from April to September, but it can be very hot in June, July and August.

From September to December there are constant waves on the sea, and at this time surfing enthusiasts come here.

Among the attractions are the Museum of Cham Culture, the Michon temple complex, the Hai Van Pass (“Sea Cloud”), the Marble Mountains, the former capital of the emperors – the city of Hue.

Children can have fun at Da Nang Water Park.

Nha Trang

Nha Trang is the most famous and most beloved resort in Vietnam by Russians. It is located in south-central Vietnam. An amazing sea, an abundance of fruits, inexpensive holidays, a compact tourist area with a large number of hotels, restaurants and cafes, a variety of beaches (both within the city limits and outside the city), mud baths and healing springs - everything you need for a comfortable holiday is here.

The best time to go to Nha Trang, which is called “Vietnamese Sochi” due to its popularity, is from April to August. The water temperature here at this time is +28°C, and in winter – +23°C. The rainy season lasts from August to January. At this time it is often stormy and foggy.

A visit to this place can be safely included in the cultural program if you are going on vacation with children. The museum is located 6 kilometers from the city center.

The island, located almost in the center of the city, is famous for its snow-white beaches, good access to the sea, and a secluded and relaxing holiday.

Dalat

This is a magnificent town in the mountains among evergreen forests, lakes, waterfalls and rivers. In these places there were once French dachas, and the imprint of European culture is still preserved in everything.

The climate in Dalat is mild and comfortable, there are many parks, romantic and beautiful places. It is also called the city of “eternal spring”.

The city has many pagodas, Buddhist temples, a coffee plantation, a statue of a reclining Buddha, the Linh Phuoc Temple, the Bao Dai Emperor's Palace, and even has its own mini Eiffel Tower.

But probably the most memorable attraction for tourists is the original Hang Nga tree hotel with natural forms (it is also called Crazy House), which is included in the ranking of the most amazing hotels in the world.

Resorts of South Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City (before it was renamed Saigon) is the second capital of Vietnam after Hanoi. It is also called “Eastern Paris”, because the influence of French culture is very felt here.

The city is not located so close to the coast, so tourists here can expect only sightseeing and cheap shopping. From here you can go to any resort on the coast.

Among the attractions, tourists are offered an acquaintance with the underground tunnels of Cu Chi, which were used by Vietnamese partisans during the war, the Catholic Cathedral of Notre Dame, built in the 19th century by the French, the Reunification Palace, Buddhist temples, and a visit to the Mekong River Delta.

What to see with children in Ho Chi Minh City?

Beach resorts in South Vietnam

Vung Tau

This beach resort is located near Ho Chi Minh City and can be reached in about a couple of hours by taxi, bus or ferry. The resort is quite large, but quiet and peaceful. Therefore, many families with children and those who do not like noise and bustle relax here.

In addition to swimming in the warm sea and sunbathing on the beach, you can get acquainted with local attractions:

  • A 36-meter statue of Jesus Christ, erected at the end of the last century on the top of the mountain. You can climb the spiral staircase inside the statue to the very top and admire the views from there.
  • An ancient 18-meter lighthouse, built at the beginning of the 20th century. It also offers wonderful views of the surrounding area
  • Buddhist Temple Niet Ban Tinh Xa (Temple of the Reclining Buddha)
  • The White Palace, built by the French Governor-General at the beginning of the last century.

Phan Thiet (Phan Thiet/Phan Thiet)

The resort is located 200 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. It's about three hours by bus or train. Hotels with wide beaches and fine white sand, with sand dunes, palm trees and pine trees are located along the entire coast and are good for families with children.

But the most popular local beach, which is located very close to Phan Thiet, is the once fishing village of Mui Ne, which, having remained essentially the same small village, has now turned into a popular resort area. This place is very popular among Russian tourists, especially wind and kite surfers, because of the strong and good waves.

There is practically no entertainment for children here. Except that only in Phan Thiet you can visit the Children's Park - a very interesting and positive place. It is located at the exit from the city at a large bridge supported by dragons.

Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc is the largest Vietnamese island and a respectable seaside resort. It used to be called "coconut prison" due to the fact that prisoners were held on this island in the Phu Quoc prison.

The island is located very close to Cambodia (15 kilometers). You can get from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc by plane.

This is a quiet resort town. It is often chosen as a holiday destination by families with children, elderly people or those simply wishing to relax in peace. Resorts and diving fans are not indifferent to this.

Good beaches with a rich underwater world are complemented by luxurious nature, tropical forests, mountains and developed tourist infrastructure. You can visit this island almost all year round; the rainy season lasts only one month - October.

You can entertain yourself by visiting plantations where pearls or black pepper are grown, or take a tour through the mountains or jungle.

So where should we stop?

There are more than enough options. Probably, someone will prefer colorful Ho Chi Minh City with hotels for every taste and budget and a whole bunch of interesting attractions. Some people will prefer a beach holiday in popular Nha Trang or in the quiet family-friendly Phan Thiet, or perhaps in tourist Vung Tau, on the island of Phu Quoc or in the mountainous Dalat.

In any case, the choice is yours. And I hope this information will help you do it right.

Review of hotels for families with children in Vietnam

Vietnam is a great place for children to relax. The Vietnamese are very friendly to little holidaymakers. Local residents try to talk to the children, pat them on the cheek and show other signs of attention. Children with blond hair especially attract their attention. They are forgiven for noise in public places and mischief. Vietnamese people are friendly and their main value is family. Family relationships are above all else for them. People in Vietnam are already accustomed to foreign tourists, but small children of foreigners are still a rarity for them. There are not many little travelers yet, but hotels in Vietnam have already prepared all the necessary infrastructure so that tourists can relax with their children. There is the necessary furniture, which is available on request, playgrounds, children's pools and clubs.

What you need to take with you depends on what part of Vietnam you are going to. For example, what clothes to take with you. The northern and southern parts of Vietnam differ significantly in weather. If in the north there are four seasons, then in the south there are only two. This is the rainy and dry season. In winter, temperatures in the northern part of the country can approach zero. But in the south there is no cold weather; it is always humid and hot there. There is a large selection, but it’s better to take everything you need with you. There are no requirements for clothing for men and women, except for going to the temple. Umbrellas and hats may be needed in this country.

If we are talking about medicines for yourself and little travelers, then there is no urgent need to take them with you. Vietnam is full of pharmacies and you can easily purchase similar medications there. For example, from an upset stomach or headache. But if you need to drink something according to a prescription, then take this drug with you in reserve. If you buy something at local pharmacies, check the expiration date and check the integrity of the packaging box. In shops and markets in Vietnam, food for children, diapers and other necessary items are freely sold. You can buy sunscreen/sun cream and burn ointment on site if you don’t want to take it with you.

When traveling with children, be careful when walking on the streets. They are in constant chaos. Full of motorcycles with trailers that transport people, things, animals. Watch your children carefully when crossing the road. Numerous mopeds and bicycles do not give way, but simply go around pedestrians. Be sure to look around. Motorcycle vehicles in Vietnam can park and ride directly on the sidewalks. In some places you are fined for this, but in others this movement is commonplace.

Wash your children's and your own hands before eating. If you are traveling far from the hotel, take toilet paper with you. Towels, paper and napkins may not be available in some areas. And you, for example, need a snack. It’s a good idea to carry wet wipes with you to wipe your child’s hands with them.

It must be said frankly that in Vietnam the infrastructure for family holidays is not yet as developed as in Thailand or Turkey. However, they are constantly working on this, and every year the infrastructure is getting better. Children love the exotic surroundings, beautiful nature, and you will not regret such a trip.

Features of holidays in Vietnam with children

Vietnam is one of the few countries in Southeast Asia where you can have a good holiday with children for little money. Even the most modest guesthouse will provide quite comfortable living conditions. There is no such animation here, but family hotels have playgrounds and swimming pools. The beaches in Vietnam are mostly sandy, but the sea is often stormy, which often upsets mothers and babies.

When vacationing in Vietnam with a small child, you don’t have to worry about food - the national cuisine is not as spicy as in Thailand, and there are also a lot of fruits and vegetables. Juices are sold on every corner, and in the cafe you can order vegetable puree, meat and fish. Infant formula and baby purees are available in supermarkets, but it is better to take instant cereals with you. You won't find our usual oatmeal or buckwheat here.

Kids spend most of their time on the beach; with older children you can see ancient temples and Buddha statues, the incredibly beautiful Ha Long Bay and other attractions. Ho Chi Minh City has a wonderful zoo and botanical garden, as well as an amusement park and one of the best water parks in the country. Nha Trang can offer a lot of entertainment for children.

When is the best time to vacation with children in Vietnam?

The average annual air temperature in Vietnam is always above +22°C, and the sea is also warm. However, due to the fact that the country's territory stretches from north to south, the weather in different regions differs significantly.

Holidays with children best in the south of Vietnam - It's never cold there. It’s just a little rainy in the summer, so the most comfortable time for a beach holiday comes in the winter - from January to March.

In autumn and winter you should not travel with children in central Vietnam(Nha Trang, Da Nang). October and November are dangerous with typhoons. In January and February, the water is not warm enough and the sea can be very rough.

Good weather In the north of the country(in Hanoi, Ha Long) is installed in autumn and spring. in winter - It's cold and it often rains in summer.

The best beaches and resorts in Vietnam for children

According to reviews, Russians usually choose Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet and Phu Quoc Island for holidays with children in Vietnam. If a child does not tolerate shaking in public transport, then it is better to stay in Nha Trang or Da Nang - the drive from the airport to these resorts is no more than 30 minutes. You will have to travel several hours by bus to Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. Let's look at each of the resorts.

Danang And Hoi An They are also conveniently located relative to the airport, there are good wide beaches, but in terms of the amount of entertainment, these resorts are significantly inferior to Nha Trang. Another nuance - from October to the end of December, powerful waves rise on the sea, more suitable for athletes than for children. People come to these cities mainly for cultural and excursion holidays, and not for relaxing on the beach. The main contingent of tourists are foreigners.

AND Phan Thiet is a special tourist area, extremely popular among our compatriots. The drive from the airport will take much longer, but here are the best sandy beaches and hotels. Despite the fact that large waves often rise at sea, these resorts are among the most popular in Vietnam among vacationers with children. There is not much entertainment, and the main pastime of tourists is on the beach. Large selection of excursions to local attractions.

Island Phu Quoc preferred by lovers of scuba diving, the water here is always very clean and clear. In addition, this is the only place in the country where the weather is good almost all year round. The island, according to tourists, is ideal for a relaxing holiday with children in Vietnam.

The best hotels for families with children - 2019

Hotels in Vietnam, in our opinion, are the best in all of Southeast Asia in terms of price-quality ratio! For $10-15 per night you will get a comfortable and nice room. In Nha Trang and Da Nang, almost all hotels are located across the road from the beach, in Mui Ne, Phan Thiet and Phu Quoc - on the first line.

How much does it cost to vacation in Vietnam in 2019? The prices are attractive: in winter, a tour for two adults and one child with accommodation in a 2-3* hotel for 7 nights from Moscow costs from 80 thousand rubles, in a 4-5* hotel - from 90 thousand rubles. Meals are usually only breakfast, but this is not a problem at all, because food in Vietnam is very cheap. In addition, this is a great opportunity to meet a delightful woman. All-inclusive tours departing from Moscow for a week cost from 110 thousand rubles (with accommodation in a 4-5* hotel).

Based on the ratings and reviews of tourists, we have selected several of the best inexpensive hotels for families with children in popular resorts in Vietnam. All hotels are 4 and 5 stars. They operate on an all-inclusive, full-board or breakfast-only basis. They are located on the 1st or 2nd line and have entertainment for children.

  • Vinpearl Resort 5* in Fukuoka with full board.
  • Dessole Sea Lion Beach Resort Mui Ne 4* in Mui Ne with a tropical garden.
  • Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort 5* in Nha Trang. You can buy a tour with access to the famous Vinpearl Land amusement park - children (and adults) will definitely be delighted!

Traveling has always been a great way to relieve stress, relax and forget about current problems. For many working people, the opportunity to travel somewhere provides some incentive to work and earn money. Indeed, trips help you feel happy, see how others live, and observe their traditions and customs. Isn't this true happiness? If you have children and you take them with you to visit this or that place, you contribute to their development, expand their horizons, cultivate in them curiosity and interest in what happens to them.

As a rule, those children who travel with their parents are much more attentive, sensitive and curious. Not a single book, not a single literary work, no matter how talentedly it was written, could give so many pleasant sensations and knowledge.

Vietnam. The capital of the country is Hanoi

In this article we will talk about Vietnam. The undeniable advantage of the state is that it is warm almost all year round. It is also a very picturesque country with incredible landscapes and amazingly beautiful nature. So, where to relax in Vietnam? Let us try to examine this issue in detail and carefully. In this city you can see many unique architectural structures.

There are also a lot of beautiful lakes that amaze tourists with their beauty.

Phu Quoc

Okay, what if you enjoy observing nature in a quiet place? Where to relax in Vietnam? In this case, Phu Quoc Island is suitable for you. It is considered one of the most beautiful places in the country. Phu Quoc is intended for those who are tired of everyday hustle and bustle and worries and want to be alone with the unique nature.

Hue

It is incredibly difficult to find any definite answer to the question of where is the best place to vacation in Vietnam. Because, as you know, everyone’s preferences are completely different and unpredictable. However, there is no universal place. Where is the best place to vacation in Vietnam if you have been interested in history for a long time, are you interested in the reign of outstanding historical figures and events that took place many thousands of years ago? In this case, it is best to visit Hue.

The entire atmosphere of this city is literally saturated with the energy of the mysterious past. Here you can get acquainted with architectural monuments, palaces, mausoleums and other amazing places. The city of Sapa is also a very interesting place. Here you can see incredible mountains, landscapes, fields, the beauty of which will take your breath away.

Holidays in November

It is worth noting that when choosing a location, it is worth considering the time of year. For many, the question is very relevant: where is the best place to vacation in Vietnam in November? Unfortunately, although the country is almost always warm, it is not so easy to find a resort in November. The fact is that the water temperature during this period is not too high.

Therefore, if your vacation falls during this time, think twice and carefully choose the right place. Fukok would be a good option. The weather there is almost always favorable, and the air temperature is usually about 30 degrees. The weather is also very hot during this period in the city of Fayette. So, if you prefer hot weather, go there with confidence.

Where is the best place to go on vacation in Vietnam in November if you want to experience warm weather and swim in the sea? An excellent choice for such preferences is the city of Fantihet. The only drawback of this wonderful place is the heavy rain. However, sometimes they begin completely unexpectedly. Also, the sea in this place is different in that it has quite large waves. If you are not a very good swimmer, it is better to find something else. Now you know where to relax in Vietnam in November.

As you can see, there is no absolutely unambiguous and 100% advice. Every city has its own pros and cons. It all depends on what is your priority - the weather, the sea or the presence of cultural monuments. Depending on this, choose the most suitable resort.

Thailand or Vietnam. Where to relax?

Many people who want to go on a trip ask themselves the question of where it is better to relax - in Thailand or Vietnam. Let's try to figure it out in detail so that based on all this you can make the appropriate choice. The climate in the countries is quite hot, but, for example, in Vietnam the weather is more changeable. The sea in Thailand has an amazing color. But the same cannot be said about Vietnam. Entertainment is quite monotonous in Vietnam, which cannot be said about Thailand. In this sense, it is a more developed place aimed at attracting tourists. But if you prefer a vacation without visiting bars and restaurants, come to Vietnam.

Another significant factor when choosing a vacation spot is food. It is worth noting that in Vietnam prices are much more affordable than in Thailand. At the same time, the food itself is somewhat similar to our Russian cuisine. At the same time, the Vietnamese serve up gigantic portions for mere pennies.

The only downside is that in Vietnam food simply becomes unavailable. The thing is that at certain hours, when the Vietnamese go to lunch, almost everything edible disappears from the shelves. When it comes to clothing stores, Thailand wins.

In Vietnam, the choice is very small; you can buy something only for a fairly decent amount. But in Thailand the prices are not high at all, and the choice is quite large.

Vietnam in October. Where is it worth going?

The next important issue that we will touch on in this article will be the question of where to relax in Vietnam in October. As a rule, it often rains in the country at this time. The most unpleasant moment during this period is that typhoons periodically hit the country. Of course it looks pretty amazing. You can record this moment on video and then show it to your friends. The negative side of this phenomenon is that swimming, as a rule, is prohibited after a typhoon. The water immediately becomes dirty and cloudy.

Going to the central part in October is not a good idea. Because there is often a storm that may even pose some danger to life and health. A very good option would be to visit Ha Long City. Firstly, during this period it is very hot there, and the sea is very warm and pleasant. In addition, it is very unlikely that you will find some unpleasant natural phenomenon there, such as a typhoon. Based on everything we wrote earlier, it should be noted that Vietnam is very diverse. Therefore, before choosing any suitable location, read information about all cities and suburbs, and only then make an appropriate decision.

Vietnam in September. Where to go with children?

Now let's try to figure out the question of where to vacation in Vietnam in September. Perhaps the best option would be to visit the city of Sapa. The weather there at this time is very warm, and there is no heavy rain, unlike other areas. In the south of Vietnam it rains almost all day long. So a trip to the southern regions is not the best option. In the center of this country in September the weather is relatively good. The weather changes significantly towards the end of the month - the waves become very large. Therefore, your vacation may be ruined.

An excellent holiday can be organized in Mui Ne. It is always warm and sunny there during this period. Besides this, there are very good beaches.

Vietnam in December. Where to go with children?

Now let's talk about where to vacation in Vietnam in December. So, perhaps the most ideal option is rightly considered to be a holiday in Mui Ne. The weather there at this time is simply magnificent. Also in this place, leisure time is incredibly well organized for local tourists.

Also a good choice would be visiting Phu Quoc Island. There is practically no rain here at this time, and the weather is very favorable. Now let's try to figure out where you shouldn't go this month. The weather in Hanoi during this period is not very favorable. It's quite cool there. But, for example, in the city of Da Nang it rains constantly during this period. Of course, it is best to take a closer look at the territories located in the south. It's almost always hot there at this time. By the way, if you are planning to visit Vietnam, it is worth mentioning that New Year holidays are held there in December.

Christmas for the Vietnamese comes on December 25th. Therefore, walking through the streets, you can see the happy faces of children hugging Santa Claus, stalls with gifts and, of course, wonderfully decorated streets.

There is also a flower festival held there at the end of this winter month. This is a great chance to see the incredible beauty of the plant. Having visited the festival, you can get acquainted with the creativity of different nationalities. The fact is that this competition has an international scale, so it is really worth visiting.

Conclusion

In this article we tried to consider everything related to holidays in Vietnam. As we found out, this country is distinguished by its rich culture, the presence of many interesting architectural monuments, and most importantly, it has a very favorable climate. Yes, of course, it often happens that tourists come during the rainy season. Therefore, it is worth checking the weather forecast in advance. It won't be difficult. For almost everyone, including children, there is a way and opportunity to spend leisure time in Vietnam. This could be a visit to various museums, of which there are plenty in this country, festivals and competitions. It can also be a quiet holiday on the beach alone with wildlife.

Holidays in Vietnam with children are the right decision, because vitamin D, like many other vitamins, is abundant here. Strengthen your immune system, eat fruits and seafood, swim in the sea, look at monkeys and elephants - why deprive your child of these pleasures? Just get a separate passport for him!

Rules and precautions

There are probably no special rules or precautions for traveling with children in Vietnam. Unless monitoring the child’s health should be vigilant. It matters which resort you choose for your holiday with your child.

In terms of transport accessibility and the availability of a variety of excursions, including with animals, Nha Trang would be the ideal choice - it takes 30-40 minutes to travel from Cam Ranh Airport to the city, unlike Mui Ne with its almost six-hour bus journey. And, unlike Mui Ne, there are plenty of opportunities for families with children - an amusement park on Vinpearl Island, as well as Gorky Park in the city center, children's play areas in the Maximark and Nha Trang Center supermarkets.

Mui Ne is more suitable for holidays with older children who can easily withstand a long transfer and are indifferent to the hustle and bustle of playgrounds. In addition, hotels in Danang and Hoi An are located very close to the airport - the plus here is that the entry into the sea is gradual and smooth, unlike Mui Ne and Nha Trang. The downside is the relative distance of the hotels from each other (there is no single tourist center, with the exception of the Old Town in Hoi An) and the lack of entertainment for children.

Child's health

First, about the little ones. Opinions about At what age can you fly with a child? by plane, vary. Some say from 3 months, others say from the moment the fontanelle closes up (8-10 months). This is due to pressure differences during takeoff and landing. Adults are given sucking candies so that when they swallow, the effect of congestion in the ears disappears; you can do the same with a child - just feed him something at these moments.

Main risk traveling with a small child - not during the flight (even taking into account that until the age of 2 you will have to hold the baby in your arms), but in problems with medical care, if, God forbid, it is needed.

We wrote more about this in the and section. Here we repeat that the language barrier and different immune systems (and, accordingly, different treatment experience) very often prevent local doctors from making the correct diagnosis. They may advise you to wear a scarf and drink more when the child is already developing an inflammatory disease. So you should immediately have hope only for yourself, and A first aid kit for a baby should be very impressive. In Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Nha Trang there are Russian doctors, in Mui Ne they speak Russian, but it’s a thousand times better, of course, not to get sick at all.

To do this, control over the temperature in the room (use air conditioning with extreme caution), the amount of time spent in the sun (and protection from the sun), and the quality of food and drinks must be total. And then everything is real, especially if you have already been to Vietnam and have a good idea of the local climate and cuisine.

It is believed that a short-term climate change (less than a month) is not very beneficial for a child’s body, so if you have a standard two-week tour and fly from winter to summer, it is better to refrain from traveling.

Food for children

Those who made up their minds and flew in will be welcomed by every Vietnamese they meet - they love children very much, and “white” children even more so. Wherever you go, you will be given a warm welcome and everything will be done for your comfort.

Children's food is not a problem in Vietnam- in any cafe or restaurant they will be happy to make you fruit or mashed potatoes, rice porridge, pasta, or boil chicken or fish fillets. There's only one problem - explain sensibly, what should be done. But these, thank God, are not medical terms; everything can be shown literally on your fingers or from the menu. In addition, the Vietnamese have special “canteens” for children, where you can feed your child porridge with various additives - meat or vegetables. In Nha Trang, for example, one of these canteens is located next to the tourist quarter.

Sun and sea

Be very careful about being in the sun - you can tan even in the shade. Buy special baby creams or baby sun milk in Russia in advance - you may not find this in Vietnam. When traveling by taxi, ask the driver to turn off the air conditioning When entering restaurants, shops and shopping centers, always evaluate the temperature inside - after the heat outside, it’s quite easy to catch a cold.

As for the sea, there is one and very simple rule - don't take your eyes off the child. The entrance to the water in both Mui Ne and Nha Trang is quite steep, and the back wave from the shore can push a child into the depths, so go swimming only together, and when your child plays at the water’s edge, always be nearby.

Separately I want to talk about sand fleas. Strictly speaking, these are not fleas, but a type of very small mosquitoes that live in the sand. They don't like water or heat, so they won't be found during the day or on wet sand. In windy weather, too, they are simply blown away. The rest of the time, if a child plays in the sand, he may be bitten. Or they may not bite - everything is very individual. According to our observations, those who are “loved” by ordinary mosquitoes will also be bitten by sand fleas, and those to whom mosquitoes are indifferent need not worry. It’s the same with the consequences of bites - if simple mosquito bites go away in your child in a day or two, then these won’t cause big problems, but if they cause severe allergies or itching, then sand fleas will ruin your mood. To avoid this, protect your skin - either by generously applying sun cream or by wearing clothing. If you do get bitten, we recommend ointment.

For holidays with older children, all the advice remains valid, except that you will also have to make sure that the child does not drink drinks with ice on his own. This also applies to fruit from the refrigerator - the difference between chilled and iced can cost you a ruined holiday. But enough about the sad, because Holidays with children are happiness, not a burden.

Even during a two-week vacation, your child can grow noticeably and become stronger. Sea water, clean air, trying seafood for the first time (just know when to stop), an abundance of fresh fruit, a huge amount of impressions from a trip to Vietnam, beautiful photos and a family video with your child will more than make up for all the fears and worries.

Children's clothing

In addition, buying clothes and shoes for children in Vietnam is much more profitable than in Russia. This is especially true for children under 6-8 years old, because for them you can find not only inexpensive and high-quality Vietnamese clothing brands, but also such world-famous brands as GAP, Zara, Osh Kosh, Carters.

You can find this children's clothing both in large stores (Maximark in Nha Trang, CoopMart in Phan Thiet) and in separate stores with children's clothing scattered chaotically around the city.
