Spring, summer, autumn, winter do not replace each other, as usual, because there are only two seasons: from May to November - the rainy season (the rainiest period is June-August) and the dry season - from December to April. This part of Vietnam, like the resorts of Thailand and Cambodia, is more suitable for holidays in the winter months, the best of which are January and February.
You should not go to the central part of the country (approximately from Nha Trang to the city of Hue) in October and November (this is the time when typhoons hit the coast), as well as in January and February, when the water is not yet very warm for swimming, but from March to August is the best time for a holiday with children in this part of Vietnam.

Separately I want to talk about sand fleas. Strictly speaking, these are not fleas, but a type of very small mosquitoes that live in the sand. They don't like water or heat, so they won't be found during the day or on wet sand. In windy weather, too, they are simply blown away. The rest of the time, if a child plays in the sand, he may be bitten. Or they may not bite - everything is very individual. According to our observations, those who are “loved” by ordinary mosquitoes will also be bitten by sand fleas, and those to whom mosquitoes are indifferent need not worry. It’s the same with the consequences of bites - if simple mosquito bites go away in your child in a day or two, then these won’t cause big problems, but if they cause severe allergies or itching, then sand fleas will ruin your mood. To avoid this, protect your skin - either by generously applying sun cream or by wearing clothing. If you do get bitten, we recommend ointment.
