Which resort to choose in Greece?

Hello again, dear readers! It’s December and summer is still far away, but many are already thinking about vacation. I would like to draw your attention to sunny Greece.

Pieria

Pieria is a fairly large region located between the city of Thessaloniki and the capital. Vacationers will like it because they can combine an excursion holiday with a beach holiday. Not far from here are the famous ones, it is convenient to get to Athens.

The area is located at the base of the Olympus mountain range. If you have a car, you can rent accommodation in small villages in the mountainous part, this will allow you to go hiking and enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery, while being close to the sea and in complete silence.

Sandy beaches interspersed with small pebbles and a smooth entry into the water, a large selection of water activities, create the best conditions for families with children.

Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is the second most important metropolis in Greece after the capital. However, thanks to the competent layout of the streets, there is no crowding or feeling of a crowd here. It is pleasant to walk along the streets of the city, looking at numerous architectural monuments.

Young people will enjoy the holiday; the city often hosts various festivals and offers musical events.

Hair

Volos is not yet as famous a place as other resorts in Greece, but it is quite comfortable and beautiful. Despite the fact that all the infrastructure is there, there are few tourists. There is no airport nearby and public transport is difficult. However, if you are by car, it is better to take a closer look at the resort.

There is no beach as such in the city itself. But in the surrounding villages there are amazing bays with clean and clear water. Peace and quiet are guaranteed. It will be of interest to tourists who like a relaxing holiday surrounded by beautiful nature. Perfect for families with small children, but teenagers will find it a bit boring.

In conclusion about mainland resorts, I want to say that if you are going for a beach holiday and do not set a goal to visit certain attractions located only there, then it is better to choose other resorts in Greece. In my opinion, on the islands the beaches are better, there are more coves, the sea is more beautiful, and there are no fewer interesting historical places than on the mainland, although there are always exceptions.

Peninsulas

Halkidiki

Halkidiki is one of my favorite places in Greece. Very green, with many small beautiful coves. In some places, rocks intricately hang over emerald clear water, creating natural grottoes. There are very few people, most of the peninsula is magnificent, wild, untouched nature.

There are also some disadvantages. There are few attractions here. And those that exist are located quite far away. If you don’t plan, then you need to choose housing in towns where there is the necessary infrastructure, or take a tour to. Because in small villages it is difficult to find a good store or ATM.

This place is simply meant for a beach holiday. Here you can find quiet and uncrowded resorts or even rent a house on the beach far from everyone. Gorgeous nature and magnificent beaches will not leave any tourist indifferent.

Peloponnese

The Peloponnese is a fairly popular place, but more for active recreation; there are many ancient attractions. Sparta, which in those distant times became famous for its opposition to Athens, is located here. As a rule, tourists come here specifically to visit certain historical places.

As in all of Greece, there are excellent beaches and beautiful nature. The downside is that it is difficult to get here. In the summer, Aeroflot sometimes flies, but there is no constant connection with Russia. You can fly through other cities in Greece, but this lengthens the journey and makes the transfer difficult.

Islands

Crete

Crete is the largest island in Greece and one of the best holiday destinations. Here you can find everything a tourist needs. The unusual mountain landscape and magnificent sandy beaches, especially in the north of the island, will not leave anyone indifferent.

Suitable for relaxation for literally everyone, it’s not difficult to find something you like, there are many interesting places, a huge selection of accommodation for every budget.

You might be interested in these articles:

Rhodes

Rhodes is a favorite island of Russian tourists, thanks to a large selection of tours and reasonable prices. There is slightly less vegetation here than in Crete, there are many cozy coves, and there are historical monuments.

Everyone can safely go on vacation. Like in Cyprus, the infrastructure is well developed everywhere, there are many beaches, only the prices are slightly lower.

I wrote a separate article about this island. There is a lot of useful tourist information there. And the article contains a complete overview of the island’s resorts.

Corfu

Corfu is located in western Greece. A very picturesque green island. The coastline is winding, there are many rocks in which quiet coves are hidden. It is not difficult to find secluded places here; there is beautiful nature all around. Cozy hotels offer real European service. The island is comfortable for families with children, it has soft sand and a gentle entrance to the water. Read more about the best beaches in Corfu.

Kos

Kos is a chic and expensive resort for the elite, it is not without reason that Hollywood stars choose it for their holidays. The island is small, located in the southeastern part of the Aegean Sea. There is a lot of greenery here, the nature is very beautiful.

Prices are high, so you probably won’t be able to relax on a budget. You can see the cost here.

Zakynthos

Zakynthos is an amazingly beautiful island that you want to return to. Two rows of mountain ranges protect the valley from bad weather. Lush vegetation, steep cliffs, picturesque bays with golden sand closed from the sea - a real paradise for tourists.

Unfortunately, landing on the island is rare and can only be reached by local airlines or ferry.

Santorini

Santorini is a small island of volcanic origin, with a coastline of 70 km. The white houses of local residents are laconically integrated into the mountain landscape. It has its own, kind of aristocratic, cozy atmosphere. Life flows slowly, time seems to stop.

If you go a little away from the tourist trail, you can find wild places and enjoy solitude. The beaches of the island are very diverse, even the sand in each place has its own shade, from soft yellow to bright red.

Holidays on the island are expensive. As a rule, tourists come here for one day as part of excursion groups.

Look for information on the island of Santorini.

conclusions

There are many resorts in Greece and it is really difficult to choose. Beautiful nature and gorgeous beaches can be found in almost every corner of this sunny country. So where is the best place to relax in Greece? How many people, so many opinions. Where one person likes it, it won’t necessarily be good for another.

If you, dear readers, are interested in my opinion, then now I would act in the following sequence:

  1. We read general information about the country and the main resorts
  2. We look at prices for tours or accommodation and air tickets (you may come across cheap tickets and it will be more profitable to travel on your own)
  3. Based on the second point, we decide how to relax, through a tour operator or on your own. I wrote how to make the right decision
  4. Most likely, for my first acquaintance with the country, I would choose one of the islands, focusing on price-nature-quality-easy transfer (in that order). You may have other priorities
  5. Having decided on the island, read detailed information about the resorts of this place, based on the latest reviews on the Internet
  6. Next, choose accommodation, hotel or house (if not a tour)
  7. Now buy a tour or tickets (if you are traveling on your own)

This plan is not suitable only for those who purposefully go to see certain attractions. It’s easier for such tourists; they just need to choose a resort closer to their desired places to visit.

That's all I wanted to talk about, I hope you have a general picture about the resorts of Greece.

You can soon learn about my personal impressions from the stories in the “My Travels” section. In the meantime, I suggest you read the article. It seems to me that this is a relevant question. Subscribe to my newsletter and be the first to receive new publications.

Recently, in some minor magazine, I came across a note that this country will also soon be closed to Russians. Allegedly, they will make a couple of provocations for this purpose. Haven't you heard anything? It will be a great pity. Write in the comments what you think about this. Very interesting read.

And I’ll say goodbye to you for a moment. Share the article on social networks, convenient buttons are below.

Ibiza in Greek, or the best parties in Rhodes

In search of adventure and new emotions, young people travel to the most famous resorts in the world. Greece has something to offer to lovers of discos until the morning, fashionable DJs, and beach parties. Three places are especially popular on the island of Rhodes - the city of Rhodes itself, Faliraki and Lindos. All of them are located in the northern part of the island and are at a ridiculous distance from each other (10-15 minutes by car), which is not an obstacle for a real party-goer.

Nightlife in Rhodes

The Old Town is full of bars, restaurants and small clubs that are open all year round. The audience there is more diverse; in addition to avid party-goers, you can often meet ordinary vacationers here who spend their holidays on the beaches of Rhodes. Not every night they can afford to have fun until the morning, because during the day they have excursions, shopping, and children.

St. Petersburg's youth are spoiled by the frequent visits of world-famous DJs, chic club interiors, incredible cocktails and dancing until dawn. Several clubs will help those who buy Rhodes not to experience disappointment in the nightlife, for example, Paradiso Beach Club, Colorado Club Rhodes. These are legendary places, included in the top hundred best nightclubs in the world.

Spending time at such discos in Rhodes is not cheap; paid entrance and expensive cocktails are a kind of filter for visitors, but the respectability of the public does not at all hinder the drive of the parties.

Why go to Faliraki

Faliraki is a small village with one central street, on which all the fun and hot spots of Rhodes are located. There are many clubs, bars, strip bars and open-air discos. The only thing that limits nightlife in Rhodes is seasonality; young people wait for the opening of the swimming season to flock to beach parties. There are no more conventions in Faliraki. The wildest young people in the world come to this village and go to bed at dawn. A new day for them begins in the late afternoon. Moving from bar to bar and making new acquaintances, young people wait until midnight, when the fun begins in the clubs.

Faliraki is a relatively budget-friendly place where there is no measured flow of holidays; here you practically won’t find family tourists with children. Faliraki is famous for its constant drive, ever-new sensations and a special atmosphere of freedom and emancipation.

People also come to Lindos, which was once a city-state, to see the Temple of Athena of Lindia, the Knight's Castle, and visit the Acropolis (built earlier than Athens).

Nightlife in Rhodes is active and varied. There are pretentious, expensive establishments where you can meet famous personalities, be the first to hear new releases, and see the beauty and style of the club subculture. There are places where having money or branded clothing does not matter, and the main thing is the desire to party all night long and be ready for new exploits.

Typically, tourists go to Rhodes, combining all types of recreation: lying on the beach, sightseeing of ancient times, active sports, relaxing in nightclubs, trying to maximize all the offers of a hospitable holiday.

tell friends

Greece is famous for its youth and party hotels and clubs. A trip there costs less than to Ibiza, but the quality of the holiday is high.

Both world celebrities and “golden youth” from European countries vacation in the country of the Hellenes. You just need to know the places where the best parties in the world take place. To make the task of finding the right resort easier, we have compiled a list of the 7 most party hotels in Greece.

1. Pomegranate 5*, Kassandra Peninsula, Chalkidiki

This hotel is considered better than many nightclubs in Greece. On the stage of the entertainment center you can see the most popular artists in the world; celebrities and children of millionaires stay here. One cocktail will cost you several tens of dollars. But what does money mean when you get the chance to dance with young socialites like Paris Hilton? Everyone is allowed to go to discos: you can live next door and come here for parties.

2. Sani Beach, Kassandra Peninsula, Chalkidiki

The quiet hotel has its own harbour. Along it there are several clubs and restaurants to choose from. Here you can visit the cinema, relax in the SPA center and listen to live performances by musicians in bars.

3. Akti Panela Beach, Kavos village, Corfu island

The island of Kavos is an analogue of Ibiza. Foam parties, discos until the morning and noisy parties can be found in many hotels. By staying here, you won't miss anything interesting. The hotel is small and cheap, which is important for those who want to get an analogue of the Spanish Kazantip at more modest prices.

4. Denise Beach Hotel 4*, Laganas town, Zakynthos island

This hotel is located 300 meters from the epicenter of entertainment in Laganas, where there is a whole street of bars, noisy discos, and bowling. A great place where you can sleep when you don’t have the energy, where you can go straight out into the cheering crowd if you’re in the mood. The hotel is located by the sea and has 2 bars, a tavern and a swimming pool, which can be used for a refreshing morning swim.

5. Harmony Boutique Hotel 4*, Mykonos town, Rhodes island

Like the previous option, this hotel is located away from the bustling center of Mykonos town, but it is no more than 5 minutes' walk away. The sounds of discos and the voices of visitors to open summer bars will not disturb your night's sleep. And if you can’t sleep, you can always join the fun tourists.

6. Alia Palace Hotel 5*, Pefkochori, Crete

A slightly more cozy option for a relaxing holiday. When there are tourists in the company who do not like nightlife, this is the best option. The hotel is located near the center of Pefkohori and has everything for a sports holiday: bicycles, tennis courts and volleyball courts.

7. Macedonian Sun Hotel 3*, Kallithea, Chalkidiki

The most party hotels in Greece do not have to be the most expensive. This option is very cheap. It is a 25-minute walk from the village of Kallithea, where there are several nightclubs very popular with tourists. A special feature of the hotel is the opportunity to leave children under the supervision of a team of animators, which is important for those who have already matured to start a family, but have not yet lost the courage for club entertainment.

Where to find cheap tours?

It’s better to look for profitable tours through a service that compares prices from more than 120 tour operators and allows you to find the cheapest offers. We do this ourselves and are extremely happy :)

When planning a vacation, everyone chooses a place to their liking. And if you are cheerful, cheerful, full of energy and eager to spend time actively, then a trip to a quiet corner for a family vacation is unlikely to satisfy you. There are many attractive places for lovers of discos and nightlife. Here are the most popular ones.

A nice bonus only for our readers - a discount coupon when paying for tours on the website until June 30:

  • AF500guruturizma - promotional code for 500 rubles for tours from 40,000 rubles

And you will find many more profitable offers from all tour operators on the website. Compare, choose and book tours at the best prices!

Despite the fact that every party lover has his own favorite places, the majority give the palm to Ibiza. Spain is a sunny and positive country, and you won’t be bored anywhere there. But it is Ibiza that gives an incredible combination of warm sea, drive, a mind-blowing explosion of emotions and unbridled fun. It is not for nothing that the largest club in the world, Privilege, is located here, which seats about 10,000 people.

Here you can find not only a variety of nightlife, but also amazingly beautiful nature and endless sandy beaches. There are also many accommodation options - from luxury hotels for the most picky public to student hostels. The most modern nightclubs here coexist with ancient buildings, and the D’Alt Vila (or Old Town) area is even under UNESCO protection.

Ibiza is characterized by streets filled with bars, restaurants, clubs, cafes and shops. Most of them are in the Sa Penya area. True, the prices here are quite high. Ibiza often hosts various festivals, carnivals and other entertainment events. There are especially many of them held at the height of the season - in August. Having visited Spain, it is impossible not to fall in love with this amazingly friendly country, and a holiday in Ibiza can charge you with energy for the whole year.

The small Greek island of Mykonos is the most fashionable and bohemian resort in this country. It is famous for its good sandy beaches, some of which are popular with nudists and people of non-traditional sexual orientation. You can choose a hotel of any star rating for your stay. Resorts of Greece
In almost every resort town in Greece you can find different offers: elite vacation or, conversely, very democratic, eco-tourism or treatment, children's camps or party festivals. Therefore, when planning your Greek vacation, you should rather decide on the region that you would like to visit. But, knowing how difficult it can be to make a choice, especially when the offer is so large, we can offer you a convenient guide to the resorts of Greece.
So, let's start with the classic, favorite vacation spots of guests from all over the world. These are such large resorts as Halkidiki, Attica, the islands of Crete, Corfu, Rhodes. Let’s say right away that there are hotels here to suit every taste: from the most simple apartments to luxury hotels and villas. Large five-star complexes offer All Inclusive programs, competitive prices and a variety of entertainment. You can stay in a small hotel, and dine and have fun in the taverns and discos of the coastal town.
Since this description is very brief, we will limit ourselves to only a couple of phrases about each of the resorts:
- Halkidiki is a peninsula near Thessaloniki. Tourist life is in full swing on all three of its fingers. There is a lot of greenery here and you can also go shopping for a fur coat.
- Attic Riviera - golden sandy beaches stretch from Euboea to Athens. Here you can not only relax, but also heal with the waters of thermal springs.
- Crete is the largest Greek island and resort. Here you can find the most economical accommodation options. It is also the southernmost, so people come here in early spring and late autumn.
- Corfu is an island surrounded by greenery not far from Italy. A favorite vacation spot of the European aristocracy.
Children's tours to Greece are offered mainly to Attica. The leading Greek tour operator for children's tours is “-Ion Tours”.
Speaking about Greek resorts for young people, we can also mention Cyprus. It is an independent state, but is mainly inhabited by Greeks, speaks the Greek language and is a country of Greek culture. And the nature in Cyprus is very similar to Greek. Youth resorts in Cyprus are Limassol and Ayia Napa. Limassol is closest to the main airport of Cyprus - Larnaca, so it attracts the most tourists, including young people. In Limassol, every year at the end of August and beginning of September, like in Rethymnon, it is held, but only a more famous wine festival, for which many specially come to Cyprus at this time. I was at this festival, it's a fairy tale! The entrance ticket to the City Park, where the festival takes place, costs about 5 Euros. And from 20:00 to 23:00 you can drink and taste delicious Cypriot wines unlimitedly and free of charge (except for the cost of the entrance ticket) - both elite and, not inferior to them, young domestic ones... - But the snack there is paid, but experienced tourists ( mostly ours) bring snacks with them, bring with them empty one and a half liter plastic bottles, and pour into them what no longer fits into the throat. German and English tourists, looking at this, are surprised at our courage and resourcefulness... - Let's make an effort and return to the topic of our article... - But, nevertheless, the youngest resort in Cyprus is Ayia Napa and everyone who could compare the holiday agrees with this in these two cities. In general, since Cyprus is an unofficial part of Greece, the youth resorts of Cyprus are very similar to the youth resorts of Greece.
Youth resorts in Italy are excursions and romance. Bella Italia! Beautiful Italy! Amazing Venice, the city of artists Flonence, the eternal city of Rome... You walk along ancient streets, along cobblestone streets, among houses covered with grapes, past statues, each of which deserves a place in the Hermitage and the Louvre, visit art galleries, where every painting is a masterpiece. Here, recreation for young people will take place against the backdrop of scenery from the Renaissance. However, in the evening life in the resort towns of Italy does not make you fall asleep. Of course, it is not as noisy as in Turkey or Spain, after all, the performance must match the scenery and it is difficult to imagine a youth orgy on the streets of a city that is more than two thousand years old. But there are cities in which young people can feel more relaxed. The youngest resorts in Italy are Rimmini and Riccione. Most of the entertainment on the entire Italian coast is concentrated here. During the tourist season, discos and clubs are open from evening until morning. The cost of entrance tickets is not that expensive - from 10 to 20 euros. It should be noted that the nightclub “Cocorico” is among the TOP 50 leading clubs in the world. Hotels in Rimmini and Riccione are quite simple, but quite affordable for young people. Closer to the sea, of course, they are more expensive, but if the main thing is entertainment, then you can live in the center.
Youth tours to Italy are not only youth recreation, entertainment and parties, but also an opportunity to at least slightly expand your post-perestroika Unified State Examination education.
Children's tours to Italy. mainly excursion ones. Children get acquainted with Rome, Venice and Florence, discovering that in addition to black rap and Hollywood, there are other peaks of world culture.
When they talk about youth resorts in Egypt. Party resorts in Greece The first of them is called Sharm el Sheikh - a resort city on the southern coast of the Sinai Peninsula. Indeed, this is the youngest resort in Egypt. Its name is translated from Arabic as “Sheikh Bay”. In Sharm el Sheikh, hotels are grouped by bays. Among young people, the most popular of them is Naama Bay, around which the tourist town of the same name is located. This town is a European showcase of resort Egypt, clean and well-groomed. Youth holidays in Egypt, in Naama Bay, are the best choice for those who want to swim and hang out. Naama Bay is rightly called “Egyptian Las Vegas”; here, every day from the evening until the morning, the doors of numerous clubs and discos, shops and stalls, cafes and restaurants are open. In the evening, when the heat of the day subsides, take a walk along the famous “Promenade Alley”, along the Red Sea under the bright southern stars. I like Egypt. I hope that the Islamic fundamentalists who came to power in Egypt will show common sense and not destroy its tourism infrastructure.
But Egyptian resorts for young people are not only Sharm el-Sheikh. In Hurghada you can also find entertainment for young people. In the city and in the tourist area, nightlife also does not subside until the morning - discos, cafes, restaurants. However, everything is spoiled by the local Hurghada population, who are in no way civilized and infuriate tourists with their pestering. Therefore, as a youth resort in Egypt, Hurghada is inferior to Sharm el-Sheikh.
Young lovers of diving and windsurfing prefer Dahab, a resort on the Sinai Peninsula, 100 km east of Sharm el-Sheikh. This resort is becoming more and more popular every year, and is even becoming the Russian center of downshifting in Egypt.
And, of course, youth resorts in Egypt are popular due to their low cost. After all, a holiday in Egypt costs about the same as a holiday in Turkey.
Southern Greece
The main resorts here are Loutraki and Evia, there are also Glyfada and Vouliagmeni, but the latter two are selling less and less on the Russian market. Accommodation in Glyfada has recently become very expensive (a three-room apartment in Glyfada is the same price as a five-star hotel in Loutraki). Vouliagmeni is mainly visited by VIP vacationers (there are very expensive hotels here) or business tourists.
The most famous and popular resort in Southern Greece, located on the shores of the Gulf of Corinth, 80 km from Athens. This is a resort town stretching 3 km along the sea, with a beautiful promenade where there are many taverns, bars and discos. Loutraki is famous for its healing mineral waters; a hydrotherapy center has been built here, where you can undergo a course of wellness treatments. In addition, the largest casino in Europe is at the disposal of gambling guests. There are not many hotels, but the choice is nevertheless wide: from expensive “five” hotels to cheap apartments. The beaches are small, clean pebbles. This resort is suitable for both family holidaymakers and entertainment lovers.
Evia (or Euboea) is an island located north of Athens and stretches along the northern coast of Attica. The island comes so close to the mainland that it is connected to it by a 14-meter bridge. The strait through which this bridge is thrown is a landmark in itself: the water here changes its flow direction several times an hour. The island is covered with mountains and forests, there are many inaccessible places and impassable roads. When they talk about Evia as a resort, they mean only a small part of its coast, mainly the Eretria region, 15 km from the capital of the island, Chalkida. Eretria is located 95 km from Athens and can be reached from the mainland via the aforementioned bridge or by ferry. The beaches on Evia are sandy, the hotel base is small (mostly hotels of categories A and B are of good quality). All entertainment is located on the hotel premises.
Both resorts are located in the nearest suburbs of Athens, at a distance of 15-25 km from the center of the capital. Suitable for those who want to combine a beach holiday with independent trips to Athens and are willing to pay significant money for it. From here you can get to Athens in 30-40 minutes by buses that run quite frequently. There is very expensive housing and a high standard of living, good sports and entertainment infrastructure, many restaurants, snack bars, shops, and large discos.
Beaches: In Glyfada and Vouliagmeni the beaches are mainly sandy, of two types. There are free “wild” beaches - unequipped and often dirty (this does not apply to the sea - it is always clean). And there are paid beaches (entrance from 1.5 to 5 EUR), equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas, cafes and shops. By the way, a sun lounger and an umbrella will cost an extra euro - about 4 EUR per set.
Peloponnese Peninsula
The Peloponnese Peninsula is the southernmost region of mainland Greece. Few are sold on the Russian market, although there is a very clean sea and beautiful nature. Its main disadvantages are the absence of large resorts (usually scattered hotels or apartments), expensive transfers, and distance from the airport. The most attractive side of the Peloponnese is its extensive historical heritage and abundance of attractions. Therefore, there are interesting excursion programs here. In addition, from the peninsula it is quite convenient to make one-day excursions to other parts of Greece. There are much fewer hotels here than in other resorts. However, there are hotels belonging to well-known Greek “chains”. The climate on the peninsula is Mediterranean in the coastal areas and temperate continental in the central areas. The beaches are purely sandy or sandy with small inclusions of small pebbles.
Crete
Crete is the largest and southernmost island of Greece, shaped like a flying dragon. Wildlife on Crete has been preserved in its original form. In the south, the mountains approach the sea itself, the constant waves of which bring cooler waters to sand and pebble beaches and steep cliffs. The northern coast is famous for its wide sandy beaches and warm, calm sea currents, thanks to which the water here warms up earlier than in neighboring Turkey. The western part of the island has a slightly more humid climate due to the nearby high mountains covered with lush vegetation, mountain rivers and a small lake. The eastern part boasts large and quiet bays, fertile plateaus and picturesque hills, and in the central part of the island there are rocky mountains, on the tops of which there is snow until the end of May. Life in the seaside towns and resort villages here is vibrant both day and night thanks to the abundance of shops, restaurants, disco bars and traditional taverns. In Crete, students who are looking for inexpensive hotels and the noise of discos, and respectable people accustomed to relaxing in fashionable hotels, and party resorts in Greece in search of solitude, and families with children will be able to have a good rest. The best sandy beaches, modern resorts with developed tourist infrastructure and comfortable hotels with a high level of service are located on the northern coast of the island.
Advice to parents: Under no circumstances should you go to Chersoniesos with children (although the price is lower than Rethymnon): it is a noisy town with vibrant nightlife, its beach is urban and rather unsightly. Rethymnon is a different matter if you live not in the city itself, but five kilometers away. Quiet, cozy, beautiful.
Advice for party lovers: If you need a party, it is better to choose a hotel directly in the city, closer to the old part of it and better on the second line - it is less noisy there, and it is still close to the beach, as well as to the center, where in the evening the most “party” place . Elounda is more expensive, and there are simply no decent “three rubles” there, since the entire coastline is occupied by 5* hotels. But these are real, “five-star” hotels with excellent service.

There are many sandy and pebble beaches stretching along a two-hundred-kilometer coastline. Corfu is a place of elite, respectable holiday. There are not many young people here.
Climate: Mild subtropical, typically Mediterranean. The average temperature in summer is +30°C, in winter +10°C. It rains from September to March. Tip for swimmers: The sea water on the west coast is almost always 2-3 degrees colder than on the east (most of the island's hotels are located on the east coast).
