Beaches of Serebryany Bor: photos and reviews

The natural monument Serebryany Bor (or Khoroshevsky Forest) is a park with numerous recreation areas, beaches and summer cottages. The dachas in the park have been preserved since Soviet times, when it was the dacha village of Serebryany Bor, but many dachas today are not small wooden houses, but huge palaces with golden toilets.

In the summer, when it is hot outside, people flock to Serebryany Bor to swim and sunbathe on the beaches, which we will describe in more detail below. The numbering will not be in order, because... They are not arranged in order.

By the way, entrance to all beaches of Serebryany Bor free!

Serebryany Bor - Beach No. 3

This is probably the most popular beach in Serebryany Bor. Moscow City Transport minibuses even go here. The beach has all the necessary infrastructure: showers, changing cabins, blue cabins... in different colors.

In addition, there is a lifeguard, a first-aid post, and a rental point for equipment for beach games. Naturally, there are cafes where you can go and have a snack if you are hungry. The prices in the cafe in Central Moscow are speculative. There is also ice cream, it costs from 100 to 150 rubles per serving.

There is sand on the shore and in the water, but if you don’t want to shake sand out of your things, you can sit a little further away on the grass. There will immediately be shade from the trees.

The water is a little muddy, but you can swim.

Part of beach No. 3 is fenced off and there is Bora Bora beach. This is a beach with paid sunbeds, gazebos for rent, cafes and great gaming opportunities - you can rent a boat or catamaran, as well as badminton, tennis, trampoline, sun loungers and other amenities of civilization.

Cleanliness of the water on beach No. 3: swimming is allowed, but there is a lot of algae in the river

The beach area is large, there is enough space for everyone

Serebryany Bor - Beach No. 1

It is located right next to Serebryany Bor beach No. 3. Entrance to the beach is through a security guard who checks the contents of your backpacks and bags for food and drinks, because... You can’t go to this beach with your own person. And as it’s easy to guess, the beach is designed for commerce. They let us through with a bottle of mineral water and apples.

The beach also has all the necessary infrastructure. The toilet is not a blue stall that is scary to approach because of the smell, but a normal, civil one.

You can rent a gazebo, hammock, or deck chair. There are cafes on land and on water, and there is also a rescue service.

On beach No. 1 near the water you can rent hammocks and gazebos

There are children's slides and exercise equipment

Cute cafe on the water

The territory of the first beach is much smaller than that of beach No. 3

Serebryany Bor - Beach No. 2

This beach of Serebryany Bor is associated with constant movement. There is a stage where something always happens on weekends, nearby there are tents where various master classes are held for children and their parents, you can also rent a sun lounger, there are several cafes and restaurants where you can sit.

There is a tent selling ice cream, juices, water, corn, and draft beer. Those. if you want to have something to eat or get your throat wet, you don’t have to buy something in a cafe. You can purchase everything you need here.

The entrance to the beach is equipped with a metal detector, there is also a volleyball field nearby, which is in great demand, and there is an inflatable children's labyrinth. On the day we were in the park, the police kept order, and a little further away there were toilets (free and open) and two ambulances.

Beach No. 2 is the most convenient in terms of transport accessibility; two trolleybuses go here immediately from the Polezhaevskaya metro station - No. 20 and No. 21.

Of the minuses: this beach is much smaller than beach No. 3 and the water here seemed dirtier to us.

There are many themed tents on the beach with workshops and games for children

The water is not very clean, but many people swim. Beach No. 3 is cleaner

Nudist beach

Yes, Serebryany Bor has the most popular nudist beach in Moscow. This is a wild sandy beach, located in pine trees, surrounded by a fence. However, among nudists there are often exhibitionists who, instead of relaxing quietly behind a fence, walk in circles around the area outside the beach. We have indicated all the beaches on the map below; we recommend that if anyone is with children or is simply shy, avoid this place.

Veteran Park

Well maintained and landscaped park. The name already makes clear the main target audience of the park. There are paths, gazebos, a small stage and “who cares for...” dances are held here. In any case, they were carried out before. It’s hard to say whether something is happening now.

The park has its own embankment without equipped access to the water. People are also lying on the grass, sunbathing, some are swimming. But officially, this is not an area for swimming, but for walking and cycling.

Our review of Serebryany Bor

In general, Serebryany Bor Park is a place where you can have a very good time. However, since the place is popular and close to the center of Moscow, the prices for eating, drinking and renting a sun lounger are quite high.

For example, ice cream costs from 100 rubles (this is a glass or some kind of fruit ice), lemonade from 100 rubles per glass, beer from 150 rubles per glass. Cappuccino – 170 rub.

Prices for drinks on Serebryany Bor beach No. 2

Food in the cafe is also quite expensive.

Therefore, if you want to relax on a budget, it’s better to take everything with you (of course, if you don’t plan to spend time on the first beach, they won’t let you go there with your own).

The water in the river is medium turbid, but you can swim. We found the clearest water to be on beach 3.

There is usually a rush on hot weekends. It is better to arrive by public transport, because... The parking lots are crowded and you can only stand in line for an hour to park.

Overall, we like Serebryany Bor beach No. 3 better. This is the largest beach in area; it is not crowded even on the hottest weekends. There is plenty of space in the clearings and in the shade under the trees.
