About the former Sukhanovskoye Lake

Dam destroyed

And this is what she looked like in the fall

Draining excess water a year ago

And now

Lake in Sukhanovo. I loved it all my life, when I was still very young I spent all the summer days on its shores, when I was older I fished with friends, I met girls on the beach, and already in my old age I loved to sit on the shore, dreaming about something while looking at the water. There were no signs of trouble, although the dam was old; according to my calculations, it was updated in the thirties, when the estate was reconstructed. But this winter turned out to be snowier than ever, and on April 19, when the snow began to melt, the water rose above the critical level and began to overflow the dam, Residents' appeals to the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the administration of the Leninsky district were not successful, but all they had to do was raise the gates and drain the excess water. After the May holidays, there were heavy rains and the dam could not withstand the pressure, on the night of May 4-5, a disaster occurred - the dam burst, water rushed down with a roar, in a matter of hours the lake ceased to exist. As a result, the power line and the power cable passing along the dam were damaged, the village of Potapovo was half flooded. After some time, the water receded, in place of the lake there was a plain in the middle of which a river flows, it turns out that all this for a while, it flowed along the bottom of the lake. The power lines were restored, but no measures have yet been taken to restore the dam and the lake. I would like to ask the head of the Leninsky district, Mr. Troitsky, and the acting governor of the Moscow region, Mr. Vorobyov, who is soon facing elections, How much time does it take to restore both the dam and the lake, which is under state protection, since it belongs to the Sukhanovo estate?
Or maybe I’m wrong? Maybe it’s good that the water has gone away? After all, the vacated land can be divided into plots and sold to large families, low-income veterans, very cheaply, lemons for 15-20 for six acres? Then the lake will truly have a bonanza .
And yet I hope that this will not happen, and the ancient lake, which still remembers the Volkonsky princes, will be restored,
