Laspi sun temple route. Saint Elijah at the Temple of the Sun against the “devil’s fingers” with the most picturesque view of Laspi. Temple of the Sun in Crimea: how to get there

The inhabitants of vanished civilizations, who left us thousands of unsolved mysteries, built sacred structures - temples of the Sun, which were located at energy points on the earth. Sacred places that have a connection on the physical level have always been revered; various rituals were performed in them by dedicated people. It is known that religious buildings of this kind are located throughout the entire territory of our planet, and they are united by a single feature - vibrational frequency. The erected energy structures in Tibet, America, Europe, Peru, hidden from prying eyes, seem to be connected into a single “chain”.

At a certain point, mysterious temples, in which you can feel a close connection with the cosmos and our universe, were tuned to a certain frequency, accumulating energy and carrying information to all sacred buildings.

A mysterious place that welcomes the chosen ones

One of these mysterious places, causing various rumors, is the Temple of the Sun in Crimea, created by nature, located in the Laspinskaya Valley, between the villages of Tylovoe and Foros. It is located on the top of the mountain where the Greek monastery of St. Elias once stood, after which it took its name. They say that only those who are supposed to be here come here, and everyone finds themselves in a mystical corner exactly when their time comes. People with a black soul and a stone in their bosom will encounter only obstacles on their way and will not reach their final goal.

Unique mountain antenna

This natural miracle, shrouded in legends and traditions, is a very powerful energetic place. Next to it rises the unique Mount Ilyas-Kaya, 681 m high, which magicians and sorcerers consider to be a kind of antenna that receives and transmits spiritual energy. And esotericists say that this is not just a mountain, but a heavenly temple, allowing all of humanity to reach a new level of existence. The real mandala of the Universe on our planet was sent to people by a higher mind, and the mountain accepts only those who are called.

Before visiting the mysterious Temple of the Sun in Crimea, you need to climb to the top, where spiritual cleansing occurs and a person becomes as pure as a baby. The mountain offers a wonderful panorama of the Black Sea and Laspi Bay, and nearby there is a natural spring from which you can drink clear water, relax and hit the road again.

Secrets of the energy corner

Thanks to declassified KGB archives, it became known about unusual experiments carried out here during the Second World War. German scientists believed that the Temple of the Sun in Crimea was capable of changing the course of usual events and influencing the outcome of fierce battles. However, the mysterious energy place did not reveal its secrets, and the group of Nazis disappeared without a trace.

"Stone flower" with altar-altar

At the place where the Temple of the Sun is located in Crimea, there are gigantic boulders, and they are often called the “stone flower”. No one knows who and when gave this name to the miraculous monument, formed from a ring of high, pointed rocks, in the middle of which there is a huge boulder - a sacrificial altar, where they ask for the most secret things. Early in the morning, the first rays of the sun fall on the central stone. Of course, a sacred object cannot be called a temple in the general sense, since there is not a trace of a single religious object here.

Scientists are interested in the location of the cobblestones: the “petals” are located at an angle of 60 degrees in relation to the central altar, and the entire composition is inclined at 45 degrees in relation to our planet. The mystical place, which gives strength and energy, has long received the nickname “Crimean Stonehenge”. Esotericists claim that this is a real cosmic portal that influences all events taking place on earth.

Where cherished desires come true

A popular natural wonder that opens the veil of the subconscious, it is open to anyone who wants answers to important questions. However, the places of Power in Crimea do not favor people pursuing only selfish goals, and therefore not everyone will be able to get here. Tourists come to cleanse themselves, experience different emotions, and discover something new in themselves. However, it is known that those who are not ready to change and do not feel the vibration of the earth will leave the same way they came.

Experts say that this is the strongest place in terms of energy, capable of fulfilling the most cherished desires that will not harm anyone. It works in full force at the moment when a person, pure in thoughts, asks for exactly what he really lacks. And when he gets what he wants, he begins life with a new leaf, entering the world of Light.

Temple of the Sun in Crimea: how to get there?

Of course, you can talk for a long time about a mysterious natural object, but it is best to get to know it in person. You can go there as part of an organized excursion or on your own. Despite the fact that there is a long road up the mountain, it can be overcome by a person with any level of physical fitness. The route is completely safe, and therefore people come here all year round.

Getting to the so-called Crimean Stonehenge is very simple: you need to take a regular bus traveling along the Yalta - Sevastopol route to the "Laspi" stop. Then follow the path that goes up the mountain to get to its top, and then go down to the Temple of the Sun (Foros). To avoid getting lost, you need to follow the blue marks on the signs.

What to do?

When you see the altar of the temple, which is the epicenter of the cosmic portal, climb onto the stone barefoot and sit facing the sun. Here they ask questions, listen to the inner voice, ask higher powers to fulfill their innermost desires, meditate, cleansing the soul and body of accumulated negativity, and recharge with solar energy.

However, for the desired to come true, it is necessary to appease the places of Power in Crimea and present a gift - money, alcohol, toys or chocolate. By the way, many come to pick up coins or things they like in the hope that they will help, but this is strictly forbidden.

There are a huge number of parking lots around the temple; at every corner you can see traces of the witchcraft activities carried out here. In an awe-inspiring place, imbued with mysticism, ritual bonfires are lit, summoning the spirits of nature, various decorations, notes with wishes are left, and colored ribbons are tied on trees. It is strongly recommended not to take anything with you so as not to harm yourself.

Tourists who visited the Temple of the Sun in Crimea note that there has been real pandemonium since early morning. However, it is best to come here during the full moon, since, according to Tibetan beliefs, it is at this time of day that negative karmic programs are removed. Many admit that the megalithic complex is the place where you need to be real. The temple works in full force when a person is fully aware of what he really wants.

However, I come across reviews from people who think that it smells like the devil here and want to get out of here as quickly as possible. Even if someone does not believe in the special energy of the natural monument, it is worth visiting if only for the amazing views that open from Mount Ilyas-Kaya.

Strengthening positive energy

After visiting a mystical corner, a person who is ready to be filled with a new state is overcome by a pleasant feeling of lightness, he feels the positive changes that are happening to him. Therefore, people often come here to enhance positive energy. And the road to the temple itself passes through a beautiful forest, and there are often delightful landscapes that lift your spirits. In addition, many note the amazing mountain air, which is so pleasant to breathe.

You can talk for hours about unique sights, but only those who visit the most mysterious places of Crimea and completely immerse themselves in the special atmosphere, seeing everything with their own eyes, will understand them. However, remember that you cannot come here with bad thoughts, as this will certainly affect your mental and physical state.

Friends from Sevastopol told us about a mystical place - Temple of the Sun. A natural object, but full of secrets and mysteries. And this Sunday we decided to see what it is, to feel what it’s like there, to take photos and videos.

The first question is the Temple of the Sun in Crimea, how to get there?

Finding the trail is easy. On the Sevastopol-Yalta highway, a marked trail begins at the Laspi road sign. There are two trails in this place:

one starts at the bus stop

the second one is directly at the Laspi sign.

Both paths go along two sides of a small ravine, and later converge. Along the path we climb Mount Ilyas-Kaya. There had been no rain for a long time, the trail was easy, although with a slight upward slope. Judging by the numerous descriptions of the route, we were supposed to meet a spring. And even drink water from it. Did not notice. Maybe the spring has dried up?

The spring, forks and turns were not noticed. Like in a car - always “on the main road”. There were many tourists we met whom we tortured: “Is it worth going there? Won’t we be disappointed at the top?” Someone cheerfully answered that he was healthy at the top, but one young couple somehow avoided answering. We assumed that they did not reach the goal and returned earlier)))

The road to the Sun Temple ends at a stylized gate: to the right and left of the path are wooden idols. Mythological guards of the Sun Temple?

Temple of the Sun - what is it?

The Temple of the Sun is a natural circle of eight huge boulders, in the center of which is a place of power.

The stone teeth that make up the Temple are the Tyshlar rocks, 8-10 meters high, forming a circle with a diameter of about 7 meters. It has always been considered a place of power with powerful energy, a place where wishes come true.

More alternative names:

    Dragon teeth

    9 Monks

Fingers (with options Seven Fingers or Devil's Fingers)

    Keban-Kaya (stack rock),

    Sugar heads,

  • Flower of power,

    Crimean Stonehenge

The central rock of the Sun Temple is also called Altar

It’s September, the leaves of the trees have already begun to turn yellow. And from this green-yellow mass, like the teeth of a Dragon, rocks arise that stand all around.

In the Middle Ages, the village of Laspi was located near this place.

Gifts in the Temple of the Sun

And only when we climbed the Altar, we met other tourists who asked: “What did you bring to the DAR?” We were told that we needed to bring the Gift and make a wish. Whether it will come true or not is unknown. But there were a lot of notes around the Altar of the Sun Temple. We remembered that people also wrote many notes in the Caucasus and left them in mysterious dolmens. Yes, here and in the photo you can see: apples, grapes, flowers, pine cones. We were advised to tear something from the backpack and leave it))) We decided that traditions should be respected, and left some change as a gift. No notes were written. And I forgot to make a wish. I don't have enough romance)))

In the photo, Andrey is not praying or calling on the gods to help him, everything is more prosaic - he decided that this was the best GoPro angle.

We walked around the teeth a little more. At the foot of one was a guy sleeping in a sleeping bag. He was strange - it was still early evening, the sun had not yet set, and he, apparently, planned to get up at dawn at four in the morning, so he was already asleep.

The sun was already setting, we watched people walking along the edge of the cliff. In the center of the photo is a tree and small figures of people. We discuss that people are already very far away, we saw the Temple of the Sun, it’s time to return home.

Last look at Mount Ilyas-Kaya. People walked a little to the right of the tree... we are returning home.

And then plans changed: thanks to random people we met on the trail. We shared our impressions of the Sun Temple with a group of tourists. This was not the first time tourists had been here, and they advised us that we should not return without climbing the mountain to the Cross, to the place where the Greek monastery had previously been.

Climb. It looks like impregnable stones in the photo. The climb is quite easy. Cool though.

Top view of the Sun Temple. In the center, on the altar, three people are either energized, or making wishes, or maybe just breathing clean air and admiring nature.

We met beautiful wild mountain goats. Red and black with huge curled horns. The goats were not afraid of us; apparently, there were no hunters here.

View of the mountains from Ilyas-Kaya to other mountains

We rise higher, in the north the Baydar Valley and the Chernorechenskoye Reservoir open before us behind the massif of the Kalanykh ridge.

The same tree along which little people walked along the edge of the cliff. The sun sets and the line between sea and sky is lost

A little short of reaching the top we see the remains of stonework. There was a medieval monastery church of St. Elias here.

And here we are at the top. It's great that we came up here. In the photo - Cape Aya. The name of the cape comes from the Greek word “ayos” (holy, holy). It is believed that the Greeks considered these places holy and buried their ancestors here. Some researchers believe that Cape Aya is Kriumetopon - the legendary Ram's Forehead of ancient Greek and Roman geographers, the main landmark of ancient sailors on their way to the shores of Tauris.

The guys who advised us not to go home. Very high, scary. And in the foreground there is a climbing rope, some daredevils were descending here

Below Laspi Bay, Batiliman tract

Another group of tourists. They plan to spend the night on the top, next to the cross. I am sure that the sunrise at the top of Ilyas-Kaya was beautiful.

And finally - two photos in backlight

We returned at dusk, with a flashlight, and then stood in a traffic jam, which began before reaching Morozovka. It’s nine in the evening, Sevastopol residents are returning from the South Bank. We stood for an hour and left for Khmelnitskoye. What if it were to the Yalta Ring? Drive for two hours at a speed of three to five kilometers per hour.

The Temple of the Sun is the most mysterious and enigmatic place in Crimea. For some it is the Holy Land, for others it is a place of power or connection with the cosmos. But be that as it may, for all tourists who visited the Sun Temple, this place remains in their memory forever. And there is still a desire to see it again.

Geographic coordinates of the Temple of the Sun on the map of Crimea GPS N 44.406688 E 33.743068

It was created by nature in the period 160-130 million years ago. It was during this period that the formation of the Crimean Mountains ended. Scientists cannot explain the reasons why such an amazing form of rock was formed. Some put forward the theory that stone blocks were processed by humans even before our era, and it was human influence on the stone that led to the appearance of this amazing object. But there is simply no official confirmation of this theory. The first mentions of the Sun Temple date back to the 10th-13th centuries AD. On the mountain, near the Temple of the Sun, the Greeks erected the Church of St. Elias. Later, the entire mountain began to be called in honor of the saint - Ilyinskaya Mountain. During the period of colonization of Crimea by the Tatars, the mountain received a new name in the Turkic way - Ilyas-Kaya.

After Crimea became part of Tsarist Russia, the mountain was returned to its old name. Archaeological excavations have never been carried out in these places. In this area, there were large settlements of Taurians, Scythians, Alans, Goths and other peoples. What secrets this area hides is anyone’s guess.
Currently, the most common name for this place is the Temple of the Sun, but occasionally you can find the names “Nine Monks” and “Dragon’s Teeth”. These names presumably appeared at the end of the 19th century, under the influence of the romantic era of development of the southern coast of Crimea. The name - Temple of the Sun, this place received because of the arrangement of the central - round and peripheral stones, which resemble the rays of the sun. But there are several other theories. There is simply no accurate and reliable information on this issue.

Temple of the Sun in Crimea. Legends and Myths.

Today there is several different stories about these amazing places..
The first version says that the Sun Temple was founded by ancient civilizations, possibly the Atlanteans, and was some source of cosmic energy.
Second version is based on pagan cults and claims that this place was the gateway to the other world and is a place of power. Here you can recharge your energy, send your desires into space, or find answers to your most intimate questions.
Which version you will adhere to is up to you. Also from oral literature, there are versions that during the Second World War, the most secret fascist organization Ahnenerbe, and in the post-war years, the secret departments of the NKVD, worked intensively in these places. There are no documents confirming or refuting these versions in the declassified archives.

It can be said with complete confidence that this place has been attracting Christians, Buddhists, Muslims and Old Believers for a long time. Naturally, psychics and magicians and various kinds of occultists show a very strong interest in these places. But, in any case, this place really has some kind of magnetism. Also, along the entire route to the Temple of the Sun, and in the Temple itself, you can find many objects that resemble donations: personal items, pennies left on stones, fruits, flowers, etc. Also, if you are a superstitious person, these items should not be taken - these are sacrifices to the Gods or otherworldly forces.

Sun Temple excursion.

Today is the Temple of the Sun Many tourists visit, and tour guides include this route in their program..
Typically, excursions start from the foot of Mount St. Elias and pass through several key points: from the foot of the mountain to the source, from the source to the top of Mount St. Elijah. It is from this peak that unforgettable views of the sea and directly of the Sun Temple itself open. It is from this mountain that you can feel the size and scale of the Temple. On average, the excursion takes about 2-4 hours. The climbs are relatively not difficult. If you decide to visit on your own, there are blue signs on trees and rocks along the entire route. But it’s extremely difficult to lose your way.

How to get to the Sun Temple.

The temple of the sun is located between the villages of Foros and Tylovoe, along the Yalta highway. The beginning of the route can be considered the turn to the village or Laspi Bay; opposite the turn, across the road, the trail begins. The first few meters, the trail seems quite small, but over time it expands and looks quite decent. The trail is completely marked with blue spots of paint, sometimes on rocks, sometimes on trees. As an additional guideline, even if there are forks, we always choose the option leading up the mountain.
The first iconic sign will be a spring with drinking mountain water, the second will be a wooden idol that appeared on the route several years ago.
From the idol, the path splits to the left, this goes directly to the Temple of the Sun, and to the right, this goes up to Mount St. Elijah. Usually the route is built first up the mountain, then to the Temple, it’s more interesting, and it’s better to do the climb while you have the strength.
The climb up the mountain, like the road to the Sun Temple, has no particular branches and does not raise any questions about how to get there. In the summer, along the entire route, tourists and travelers will be encountered all the time. There are quite a lot of people, so if you want to go at a less crowded time, then it’s only in the morning or in the fall.

How to prepare for a trip to the Temple of the Sun in Crimea.

In summer it is hot, but in autumn the coolness is felt quite strongly. You also need to take drinking water and the necessary gadgets with you to capture such a beautiful route. If you are a fan of hiking or visiting unusual and amazing places, then a visit to the Temple of the Sun in Crimea is fully recommended for you. Also, after the Sun Temple, you can visit the nearby ones. Temple of the Sun on the map of Crimea

Crimea attracts not only beachgoers, climbers and history buffs. It also attracts fans of various kinds of mystical theories. They believe that the peninsula is full of special corners where a person is able to directly connect with the cosmos. Among these there are especially popular and revered places. One of them is the Temple of the Sun in Crimea. Mystics believe that it is capable of fulfilling any desire, if only a person is prepared for its visit.

Where is the place of power in Crimea?

It is located in the mountains of Crimea, above the famous. Geographically, the land belongs to the Foros district. Nearby rises a peak known as Ilyas Kaya - from the name of the Greek Monastery of St. Elijah that once existed on its peak.

Temple of the Sun on the map of Crimea

From the history of appearance: a creation of the unknown

No one can say when and how the Sun Temple arose in Crimea. Geologists believe that this is the result of the destruction of the mountain, and the stones were laid down randomly into a figure resembling a stone flower. Mystics see here almost an alien observatory, compare it with Stonehenge in England and claim that a constant flow of cosmic energy flows here.

However, despite the claims of professional mystics that not everyone can get here, crowds of curious tourists and travelers, including the most inveterate atheists and skeptics, come to this sacred corner every year. If mystics are looking for a mysterious place of power, then atheists simply enjoy beautiful natural views, also gaining a lot.

Temple of the Sun: not made for the Nazis

Adherents of mystical theories tell many beautiful stories about the Temple of the Sun in Crimea. It is not possible to confirm them with documents, but individual legends inevitably arouse interest and sympathy.

In particular, they say that this place aroused great interest among Hitler’s metaphysicians during the Great Patriotic War: it is even known that Hitler was interested in all sorts of mystical sacraments, but this did not really help him. Allegedly, representatives of the secret Ahnenerbe unit conducted research here, and then, having received the results of their work, Soviet researchers.

Mystics very convincingly explain the lack of experimental results, which were supposed to prove that the emanations of the Sun Temple influence all events on the planet. Allegedly, both groups of experimenters were not pleased with the sacred stones, so they disappeared without a trace. Legends adorn this Crimean landmark and add to its popularity.

Why is the Altar of the Sun interesting?

The photos make it possible to understand what the legendary place looks like and why it was also nicknamed “stone flower” and “seven fingers”. Seven large white limestone blocks surround the central stone - the “altar”. They all stand at an angle to the surface, and therefore really resemble a flower.

It is assumed that you need to stand on the “altar” and make your most cherished wish - it will come true. True, there are significant restrictions - the wish must be within the strengths and capabilities of the wisher, it also should not bring harm to anyone (think about it and you will understand how brilliant these formulations are).

The “stone flower” is located on a slope. Before visiting it, many tourists examine the remains of the Monastery of St. Elijah (only the foundation has been preserved). Mystics claim that a visit to a Christian shrine prepares for a visit to a pagan temple (although where is the connection here?).

However, reviews from all tourists, including those who did not feel any special advent of power, note the charm of the views opening both from the top and from the “altar” of the Sun Temple. From there you can clearly see Laspi Bay, the village of Foros and even where Gorbachev was during the attempted coup in the USSR.

You shouldn’t be surprised at the abundance of all sorts of edible items around, as well as jewelry and small personal items. The belief requires leaving something to the sacred place in payment for the fulfillment of a desire - many conscientiously follow this instruction.

Not far from the unique monument there is a flat area where fire pits are already equipped. Travelers with tents often stop here when hiking in the Crimean Mountains. But those who decide to visit only the temple should dress in sportswear - there are no asphalt roads here.

How to get to the Sun Temple?

For novice tourists who decide to visit it for the first time, the pressing question is how to get there. The Temple of the Sun in Crimea is not a place that can be reached by bus. A car can help, but only if it is an SUV and in dry weather. Often people get here on foot from the Sevastopol-Yalta highway, from the Laspi Bay stop. There is a well-trodden path and a number of blue signs. The path branches, but experienced mystics claim that all local roads lead to the Temple of the Sun - the only question is how long it will take to walk.

By car you can get to the attraction from Sevastopol in the following way:

From Yalta the route on the map looks like this:

Note to tourists

  • Address: Laspi Bay, Balaklava district, Sevastopol, Crimea, Russia.
  • 44°24′29″N (44.408025), 33°44′37″E (33.743508).

You don't have to be a believer to visit places that are recognized as holy. It is enough just to be able to understand beauty and a walk can still be enjoyable. This also applies to visiting the Temple of the Sun, which is above Laspi Bay and the legendary. In conclusion, we offer you a video about this extraordinary attraction. Enjoy watching!

Greetings, dear travelers! We welcome you and invite you to make a pilgrimage (yes, a pilgrimage, not a hike) to the Temple of the Sun in Crimea. Why it’s worth doing this, how to get there and what to expect from this trip - we’ll talk about this below in detail.

In this article:

How to get to the Sun Temple

The temple is located near the South Coast Highway, which connects Sevastopol and Yalta. If you are in other regions of Crimea (for example, in Simferopol), then it is better to first get to one of these cities, and then follow the highway until the turn to the village of Laspi.

From Simferopol or from Yalta

The location of the temple is such that any type of vehicle will do; in any case, you will only have to go to the stop at the turn to Laspi, and then on foot.

Regular bus

The easiest way is to take a regular bus running between Yalta and Sevastopol. You need to get off at the “Laspi, turn” stop. If you come from Simferopol, the travel time is about 40 minutes, if from Yalta – about an hour. Buses run every 15-20 minutes from bus stations.

The current schedule for the near future is especially for you.
Departure from Yalta:

Departure from Sevastopol:

By car

The distance from Yalta to Laspi is approximately 40 km, from Sevastopol - about 30. You must also leave the car near the stop, which is located at the turn to the village of Laspi, and then walk.

I marked this turn on the map— click to open in a new window and get directions.

Or, if you are going to navigate using a navigator, here are the coordinates of the parking lot:

44.418831, 33.729328

By taxi

There are no taxi services in Laspi and you need to order one from larger neighboring cities. Or you can call a car via the Internet, often it even turns out cheaper.

Walking path from the highway

How to get from the highway to the Temple? On the side opposite from the turn to Laspi, right behind the bus stop there is a path leading into the forest - this is exactly what you need to follow.

The trail has small branches along its entire length. You need to go where it is well trampled. After about 1 km you will reach a spring, where you can collect water for the journey.

From the spring, the path continues to rise and leads to two wooden idols, which are installed here today. From them the road branches. If you go left, you find yourself in the Temple of the Sun itself.

Another road leads to the top of Mount Ilyas-Kaya. Tourists recommend starting there, and then going down to the Temple itself.

The route is not very difficult, but some part of the path will pass along a mountain rocky path (about 200 m). But your efforts will be rewarded with magnificent views opening from its top - the South Sea bays, Ai-Petri, the Baydar Valley and the Temple of the Sun itself.

From above it resembles an open hand with seven fingers, these are rock teeth rising from the ground at an angle of 60 degrees.

Then you can go down to the Temple itself. In the middle there is an altar where tourists place gifts - fruits, coins, sweets or wine.

When packing for a trip, don't forget to take something to put in it.

The route involves walking uphill, so you need to prepare for it accordingly: shoes and clothes should be comfortable for a short climb.

Adjacent to the central stone - the altar - is a small convenient clearing where you can stay overnight in a tent.

Excursion to the Sun Temple

Tour agencies have not ignored such a significant tourist site, so you can go to the Temple on an excursion - group or individual. It will provide an opportunity not only to look at the luxurious Crimean nature and feel its power, but also to learn a lot of new and interesting things about this magical place.

The more people there are in the group, the cheaper the excursion will cost. For an adult it will cost from 800 rubles, for a child - from 700.

Why is it worth visiting this place?

The Temple of the Sun is a natural landmark of Crimea, although many are inclined to attribute the amazing energy power of this place also to the ancient temple of St. Elijah, which once stood on the top of Mount Ilyas-Kaya (Mount Elijah). The Temple of the Sun is located in the Laspinskaya Bay area, in the saddle of the Ilyas-Kaya and Chelebi mountains.

The stone teeth that make up the Temple are the Tyshlar rocks, 8-10 meters high, forming a circle with a diameter of about 7 meters. It has always been considered a place of power with powerful energy, a place where wishes come true.

They say that you should not go there with bad thoughts, this can affect your state – physical and mental. Many people come here for meditation and esoteric practices.

I tried to give you as much useful information as possible. I hope that the trip to this wonderful place in all respects will be exciting, enjoyable and educational.
