What is the fastest way to get to Crimea by car? Travel options through the Krasnodar region

It has happened: the Kerch Bridge has finally been opened, connecting the coast of the Krasnodar Territory with the Crimean Peninsula. Now cars are already driving along it.

The event is undoubtedly solemn - but what to do about it? The beach season is about to open, including on the coast of Crimea. How to get to the bridge and ferry crossing? Yuga.ru tells guests of the Krasnodar region and local residents about routes to Crimea. By the way, it is worth considering that this year guests of the peninsula have a unique opportunity to move across the bridge without obstacles in the form of heavy vehicles. Entrance to the bridge until October. They will still use the ferry service.

Six routes to Crimea through the territory of Kuban

The most impressive route in terms of length is the road along the M4 Don highway towards Novorossiysk. From the hero city you need to take the Novorossiysk - Kerch highway, which is designated on maps as A290. The length of such a path is about 570 km(according to the Yandex.Maps service).

Another route one of the shortest- this is to follow the M4 Don highway to the 1159th km of the highway (to the village of Kislyakovskaya), where you need to get off to Timashevsk, and then onto the A290 highway, which was mentioned earlier.

The third way, the most unloved by Krasnodar residents, is, in fact, via Krasnodar. Drive to the entrance to the city, take the Eastern Bypass, then the Western Bypass. From there there is an exit onto the Krasnodar - Verkhnebakansky highway (on the map it is A146), and from there turn onto the Novorossiysk - Kerch highway. Let's just say that this path is not the longest in length, but you need to be prepared for the impressive Krasnodar traffic jams and more. You will have to deal with traffic jams in the area of Krymsk and the village of Verkhnebakanskoye.

The fourth route runs to bypass of Krasnodar. Before reaching the regional center, you need to turn off on the section of the highway (on the map this is the 1278th km) M4 “Don” in Korenovsk towards Timashevsk, where through the Bely village you can exit onto the A290 highway, which will lead to the Crimean Bridge. This is one of short routes.

A little earlier, in the area of the village of Pavlovskaya, you can also turn to Timashevsk and, in fact, repeat the previous route. There is not much difference between them. The only difference is that to Korenovsk you will move along the highway, and turning onto Pavlovskaya, you will immediately get to restrictions up to 40-60 km per hour. That is, the difference of 60-70 km of travel in time is leveled out.

Finally - the shortest route. Having left the Rostov region, get to the 1145th km of the M4 Don highway, where you should turn to the village of Kanevskaya (the turn is near the village of Kushchevskaya, do not confuse it). Then follow in the direction of Timashevsk and the Bely farm. Afterwards, take the Novorossiysk-Kerch highway, which will lead to the Kerch Bridge. Take the A290 highway until new interchange on the Taman Peninsula(it’s difficult to miss), from which there are 40 km left along the auto approach to the bridge. This route is the shortest in terms of mileage, amounting to about 390 km.

Next, having crossed 19 km of the bridge, 7.5 of which are over the sea, you find yourself on the 8.6 km long Kerch auto approach, and then on the Tavrida highway, which runs through the entire peninsula in its southern part.

Toll road to Crimea

All of the above routes relate to the entrance to the Krasnodar Territory from the Rostov Region, since the main flow of guests arrives in this direction. When moving along the M4 Don highway, it is worth taking into account such a component as paid areas. We know that when moving from St. Petersburg to Krasnodar exclusively on a toll road, you will have to pay about 1.5 thousand rubles at the terminals. If we talk about the segment from Rostov-on-Don to Krasnodar, then the amount will be about 350 rubles, depending on the class of the car and the time of day. At night it’s cheaper.

Let us emphasize: you will pay this money for the Rostov-on-Don - Krasnodar route, that is, these are two of the six proposed routes to Crimea. In fact, the toll road is worth it - if your holiday budget allows for additional spending. Smooth, high-quality asphalt, the absence of intersections, traffic police posts and highway speed limits can save time and nerves. And if you plan to travel along the highway more than once a year, the Avtodor company offers to purchase a subscription that will allow you to save money.

If you are traveling to Crimea from Stavropol, then you should travel along the P217 highway, through Nevinnomyssk and Maykop. Next, the choice will be this: either drive a little faster to Taman through Krasnodar, Slavyansk-on-Kuban and Temryuk (about 530 km), or along the picturesque coast, through Khadyzhensk, Tuapse, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk and Anapa. But it is worth considering that the second option is replete with traffic jams on several sections of the A147 and M4 Don highways, in the area of Tuapse, Dzhubga and Gelendzhik.

Bon Voyage!
