The leaves and stems, like other varieties of mint, have found their use in cooking. They are also used in cosmetology and medicine. Since ancient times, people have brewed herbal tea from this plant. The healing drink not only has an interesting refreshing taste, but also gives vigor. This plant is used as a seasoning for pickling cabbage and canning cucumbers. It is often added to all kinds of sauces to add a delicious aroma. For example, pesto sauce, in one of its variants, consists entirely of mint and finely chopped garlic, ground into a homogeneous mass. You can make an aromatic drink from fresh leaves; the leaves are added to vegetable salads. As a seasoning, dried materina leaves are added to vegetable, meat and fish dishes. It is not uncommon to find this taste in various fruit dishes and desserts. To prevent souring, the greens of the plant are added to fresh milk.

Useful properties of wild mint

Since ancient times, wild mint has been considered an excellent stimulant for the mind. Polinius the Elder wore a wreath woven from mint on his head, and advised his students to do the same. It is a mild stimulant of sexual desire, and therefore was contraindicated for use by Greek troops. The walls of rooms and halls were sprinkled with mint infusion before the holidays.

Uses of wild mint

Yours use of wild mint found in folk medicine. It has a beneficial effect on the acid-base balance, improves appetite, improves overall digestion and prevents nausea. An infusion of leaves relieves colic and spasms in the stomach and intestines, reduces fermentation processes in the gastrointestinal tract. Its antiseptic and analgesic properties are widely known. Mother teas have calming and stress-relieving properties. They also help with low energy and improve mood. You can also find wild mint in lists for the treatment of diseases such as chronic bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases.

The essential oil of this plant is intensively used in aromatherapy. Volatile compounds in the oil tone, relieve tension, and improve immunity. Increase the body's resistance to diseases and increase resistance to stress. They have a beneficial effect on people sensitive to weather changes. You can take relaxing baths with mint oil. Fresh or dried leaves can be used to make soothing facial masks.

If you do not have the opportunity to collect this plant yourself, then you can find wild mint at any pharmacy.

But I, however, have something to compare with. I like the new venue near Tula, I like the selection of music and performers, I like the Green Age venue, I like the fact that the festival is very cool with children...

You can read impressions from last year. You can read about how I was going and what to take with me under the “festival” tag. I’ll tell you now how it will be this year.

As I already wrote, Wild Mint is a three-day outdoor festival in a field. Living in the field is not at all necessary; you can stay in boarding houses or even “drive in” from Tula. But the atmosphere there is so amazing that I’m in favor of the tents with both hands. So,

- Where to live?
You can live, as last year, in a family or fun camp. The family room is correspondingly quieter than the fun room. Among the innovations this year is a room for mother and child, where you can feed, change clothes and even wash the child. Those. There will be a separate shower for families with children

(last year's photo from the site)

- What to listen to?
This year's main performers were placed in a tree (see picture above). There are three scenes, like last year. The scenes are located side by side, but arranged in such a way that the sound of one does not cover the other. You can move between them very comfortably; you can see the stage even from a tent or cafe if you wish. Everything is allowed)
I go mainly to Spleen, Alai Oli, Jukebox, Bricks, Radio Kamerger, Casualty and Iowa.

(last year’s photo from BN’s website)

- What else to do?
There are a lot of activities held at the festival - yoga, sports competitions, lectures, film screenings, etc. There is even a hot air balloon that you can ride on. Children have their own separate program, their own house and the opportunity to leave the child with an animator. Some activities are paid, some are free, but the price is all reasonable.

- How to get there?
You can get there by train to Tula, then transfer to a bus, or on special festival buses. And there are always many options to travel with fellow travelers in a personal car. Last year I drove myself, I had a place, I took two people. Wild Mint has its own circle of fans who communicate very actively on forums in social networks- there you can discuss literally everything and find someone to go with and even someone to live with.
I'll go on Friday late in the evening, but I haven't decided yet.

- What to take with you?
Good mood) I already wrote above what to take with you if you are traveling with a child. In general, the things that came in most handy last year were a lot of dry clothes and a thermos, but the list is a standard camp-and-travel list. Hot water, food and medical assistance are available on the festival grounds. There is even food in a field kitchen format, where you can eat on a super budget.
Beer is sold on site; alcohol is not allowed.

- What if it rains?
And he will) Any wild mint fan knows that wild mint equals bad weather. In fact, this year the forecast promises hot sun, we'll see. I can say that last year there was a torrential downpour and thunderstorm, and it was still great. So the rain is not a hindrance to the music.

- How to save money on buying a ticket?
Until June 20, there is a group purchase of a ticket; at the moment this is the most profitable option. The festival’s partners also hold many promotions where you get a ticket at a discount or as a gift, all of this is also in the festival group

On June 13-14-15, the seventh international festival “Wild Mint” will bloom again in “Ethnomir” with all the colors of world music!

A unique and exceptionally atmospheric event that one of the three most popular festivals in the country according to Kommersant Publishing House and in the 50 best events on the planet according to Afisha magazine. Every year thousands of music lovers come here to spend three unforgettable days. Bright and diverse music of the world, extravaganza of street theaters and fire shows, nightly open-air film screenings and the charm of the venue make “Wild Mint” a festival that is eagerly awaited all year round, and where people return again and again.

Over the six years that the Wild Mint festival has been held, the brightest stars of world music have performed, as well as almost all current Russian artists whose work turns to root music. Goran Bregovic (Serbia), Katzenjammer (Norway), Nino Katamadze (Georgia), Varttina (Finland), Tonino Carotone (Spain), Oquestrada (Portugal), Ivan Kupala and Inna Zhelannaya, Zdob si Zdub (Moldova), Budzillus (Germany) , Billy's Band, Daha Brakha, Sunsay, Egari (Georgia), John Forte (USA) and many others.

This year, Wild Mint is preparing an exceptionally bright lineup! One of the main events of the festival will be the performance of a world-class star British performer Alex Clare, author of the song “Too Close”, the video for which has collected more than 50 million views. Also performing here will be the international project “N.O.H.A.”, known throughout the world for the composition “To Cafe”, Latvians “Brainstorm”, “Surganova and Orchestra”, Georgians “Mgzavrebi”, group “Therr Maitz”, finalist of the show “The Voice” singer Tina and several dozen more groups from all over the planet!

“Wild Mint” is a festival of a new generation and is characterized by versatility and multi-format, so here every year there is a place for more than just music.

  • Organize a belly festival and eat Georgian “khinkali” from the capital’s chef?
  • Chop with Japanese swords and try your hand at Indian yoga?
  • Spend the night watching cult English short films under the starry sky?
  • Get inspired by a night concert and paint a picture standing at an easel, like a real “Van Gogh”?

This is exactly what they come here for!

PROGRAM / Line-Up

An exceptional British musician whose video has received millions of views, the master of a luxurious red beard and the owner of a rare beauty of a voice whose timbre is worth ten thousand billion pounds sterling! Jokes aside, but the fact is clear: Mr. Alexander George Claire, or simply Alex Clare, as the girls called him at school, is coming to us. He will headline the festival on Sunday.

Young, only 28 years old, but already a world-class star! His first album “The Lateness Of the Hour” was released, one might say, literally the other day - July 11, 2011, and now his hit “Too Close” sounds from every iron; it is known to both every schoolchild and the brand manager of fashionable perfume or the editor of a glossy furniture magazine. He is everywhere and everywhere, he is unimaginable, excellent, talented! Yes, he is... the British music king, if you like! Of course, we couldn’t do without “Internet Explorer 9”, but these are trifles Gadgets and browsers in the service of eternal musical values.

His songs have everything: thoroughbred, hoarse soul, ubiquitous electronics, the lightest dubstep, some elusive, but very pleasant, British pop-rock traditions, plus a whole ocean of musical shades that do not need identification at all. Apparently, this is just a huge individual talent that arose here and now, and which we are lucky enough to touch online by watching the video below, or offline - on “Wild Mint”, live, on a huge scene, in the smallest detail, almost at arm's length or lens distance!

I must say that Alex Clare is one of the most incredible and “deafening” headliners that the festival has had in all seven years of its existence. What?! Alex Clare on “Wild Mint”?! Yes Yes!!! The same Alex Clare on “Wild Mint”! So we congratulate you and ourselves: on June 13-14-15 in Ethnoworld we will all observe the phenomenon of a “musical” comet, and this, believe me, happens once every thousand years. So let's go, dear music lovers. Let's go, let's go!!!

The BrainStorm team (Latin: Prata Vetra) was formed, as often happens, on the basis of school friendship and similar musical interests. And since then they have been traveling around the world, performing songs in three languages: sunny Latvian, beautiful English and lyrical Russian. They are fruitful in albums and hits, and you are, of course, familiar with Maybe, Colder, “Wind”, “Millions of Minutes”, Thunder Without Rain, “You Are Not Alone”. As well as iconic duets with the groups Bi-2 (“Slippery Streets”) and Casta (“Steps”) and the writer Evgeny Grishkovets (“At Dawn”).

Over the past year, they have triumphantly traveled all over Russia and Ukraine: more than 35 cities are behind them. The reason for the tour was the release of the new album “Seagulls on the Roofs”, as well as the 10th anniversary, specially for which the first Russian-English collection of hits, The Best of BrainStorm, was released.

These smiling Latvian guys are loved all over the world, they are known and expected at the British Glastonbury, the Hungarian Sziget, the Czech Rock For People and the Netherlands at Eurosonic, in their native Latvia at Summer Sound and, of course, at “Wild Mint” this summer !

Now BrainStorm are deep into work on a new album, scheduled for release in 2015. But, despite this, the musicians will have an active festival summer, and the beginning of the creative year took place at the Olympic Games in Sochi!

“Surganova and the Orchestra” will perform at the seventh international world music festival “Wild Mint”! There is an opinion that her songs are some of the brightest and sunniest on the Russian stage. This woman is one of those iron ladies who keep their finger on the pulse of life and command their destiny, as well as the thoughts of their fans. After the famous breakup, Svetlana quickly and energetically put together a new band, released a landmark record, which sold record copies, and also went on a round-the-world tour. Energy and charisma are overflowing!

Aesthetically verified, but understandable to everyone, lyrics, sincere presentation, with hooligan charm and incredible, bright energy brought Surganova mass success from the Sea of Japan to the Baltic. Lively Latin, French chanson, hurricane rock and electronics - you will find everything in her songs, and it is unlikely that you will give a single definition of her musical style. Yes, this is not necessary. Surganova plays outside of formats, and is practically absent from television and radio, but wherever she performs, full houses await her. They are also waiting for her at the Wild Mint festival! So see you on June 13-14-15 on the green dance floor of the festival!

---

The international project “N.O.H.A” will perform at the “Wild Mint” festival this year. Delicious electronics, clever-sounding breakbeat, clear hip-hop, cheerful ghosts of funk and jazz, as well as... sensitive impression, minute-to-minute improvisation and perfect composition! Everything, as it should be, is in the classical avant-garde If old Kandinsky had heard their bright, broken rhythms and checked out a couple of records, he would have painted more than one expressive masterpiece, because the music of “N.O.H.A” is something more than skillfully mixed musical styles, this is the noise of human art! Well. Those who were at “Wild Mint” last year know, but those who have not been have yet to discover this miracle!

For those who like to study the hardware, we’ll add that the group “N.O.H.A” has eclectic not only music, but also the composition, the participants come from cities such as Cologne, Prague, New York, Essen and Gijon, the musicians have four albums to their credit, and are in charge the whole process by saxophonist Philip Noha! The sunny video “To Cafe” has settled in every coffee shop at some point, but this is absolutely not important, just like millions of views on YouTube! The only important thing is that “N.O.H.A” is the most “wild” music in the world, and they will be at our festival this year on June 13-14-15 in Ethnomir!

---

Anton Belyaev a brilliant pianist and unique vocalist, the absolute star of the “Voice” project, will perform at the “Wild Mint” festival with his group “Therr Maitz”! Of course, now the whole country is watching this show, and the fact that bright, independent performers are participating in it is wonderful. We believe that Anton Belyaev is one of the best participants in “The Voice”, and therefore it is with great pleasure that we invite him to perform at our festival.

His biography is as charismatic as he himself - it is replete with dates, facts, trips, people and cities. He played in clubs from Khabarovsk to Moscow, he is known in Japan, where he performed with the most famous jazz musicians, he recorded songs in Brazil, he conquered the whole country with his voice from the silver screen. and now, finally, he’s got serious about the group “Therr Maitz”.

“Therr Maitz” is his brainchild and the main project of his life. We are confident that this group has a bright future ahead of them! Fortune has already turned her favorable gaze in their direction, and they only have to work hard. The Wild Mint Festival is one of the catalysts for “wild” independent music and performing at the world’s largest music festival will add vitality, charisma and public adoration to them. See you at the festival!

---

The SUNSAY group will perform at the Wild Mint festival this year. The concert of this artist is a feast of the soul for everyone who has wonderful vibrations of funk, reggae and soul in their player. But the matter does not end with these three “magic elephants” of world music - in the work of SUNSAY there are many shades that change from record to record and grow into each other, like sprouts of unprecedented southern flowers, living and perhaps thinking.

The sound of the album “Thank You,” which was released last spring, defined def kef - a style combining hip-hop, dub-step and ethnic. You can easily find this record on the Internet, and it has become “new” in a more global sense. This is a fresh look and a different musical “palette” from musicians who are growing up and whose worldview is changing.

But literally a year has passed and already in early June, to the great joy of all enlightened music lovers, SUNSAY will present another album, which they recorded in Bali. Local musicians took part in the recording, and the record definitely turned out to be unusually bright and sunny. Immediately after the club presentation, SUNSAY will come to “Wild Mint” and the “wild growing” sounds of the world will fill the ears and hearts of grateful listeners. No matter how much SUNSAY changes, one thing remains unchanged - in all his songs the idea of the continuity of life, expressed in the universal language of music, hovers.

Friends! It is with great pleasure that we announce the performance of the Georgian group Mgzavrebi at the Wild Mint festival! In their homeland, they are absolute stars: they fill stadiums and perform at the country’s main concert venues, they are commissioned for movie soundtracks and invited to appear in the most famous TV shows. But that’s not the point. Recently, they have been warmly loved in Russia, and a number of sold-out concerts are proof of this, but that’s not the point either.

The essence is beautiful, fresh songs in bright and melodic Georgian language. They are an ideal example of “wild music”, the one for which the Wild Mint festival is made. Here the musical traditions of the fathers are honored and the harmonious Georgian polyphony touches the soul; here, along with the “classical” bass guitar, keys and guitar, ethnic panduri and didgeridoo sound, a flute cries and African djembe rings with an insinuating roll. Here are honest lyrics about love and life, a general transparent sound and some special sincerity, characteristic of all the songs of this sunny country.

There are never too many Mgzavrebi, you want to listen to them and listen to them, sitting on a green hill in front of the stage, or in a small Georgian courtyard covered with ivy. On June 13-14-15, we will all have a great opportunity to immerse ourselves in the charm of their songs and maintain a bright mood in our souls, at least until the next festival.

---

Singer Tina, a magnificent, charismatic girl with an incredibly strong voice and rich timbre, already appeared on our “wild” stage several years ago, and now she is triumphantly returning again. Tina is an accomplished performer in all respects - in music since the age of 4, she plays the piano beautifully, improvises easily and sensitively, controls her voice 100% and feels confident both on the small stage of a cozy club and in front of an audience of millions. Listening to her is pure pleasure for any music lover, and her live performances leave a vivid and deep impression.

Like any talented person, Tina is fruitful and has more than one musical group and festival to her credit. We all, of course, really love one of her authentic projects “Zventa-Sventana” for its subtle combination of jazz, electronics and Russian ethnics, and someone probably remembers her from the “Jazz in the Hermitage Garden” festival, where she received the Grand Prix and the title “Young Hope of Jazz” or admired her performances at the Jazz Parking Festival. In any case, Tina is a multifaceted and vibrant artist and is able to surprise again and again.

Now Tina is one of the undisputed favorites of the well-known show “The Voice” and her talent is finally appreciated with bated breath from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad. We are very glad that this bright, original performer will perform at the Wild Mint festival and consider her one of the best Russian artists. See you at the festival on June 13-14-15!

It was to such graceful beauties that the poets of the Silver Age dedicated their poems and unknown artists at all times painted pictures from them. Nina Karlsson will perform at Wild Mint for the first time, and we are glad that this fragile, wonderful freesia has been woven into the festival lineup.

In the past she is a model, in the present she is a bright singer with a conservatory (for a moment) education. As soon as she appeared on the stage in St. Petersburg, Nina sounded so soulful and powerful that all the media started talking about her. That year, the St. Petersburg magazine "Dog" called her "The Main Musical Discovery." Her sincerity and amazing musicality touched the hearts of the sharks of the pen and the cold St. Petersburg residents, who now rush to her concerts at the first call, and not only them.

Nina was deeply loved in both capitals, she went on tour in the Baltic states and Germany, and even performed on the island. Sakhalin.

Not long ago she presented the “TO THE SUN” program, consisting of new light and sunny songs in Russian. The musicians performed this program in Moscow, Kyiv, Minsk, Vilnius, Tallinn, Riga, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar and Volgograd. I also appreciated this cute little thing in “Evening Urgant”, where she performed the song “Seryozha”.

Nina will perform at “Wild Mint” for the first time, and we strongly advise you not to miss her performance, as for many she will be a revelation!

The Atlantida Project surfaced just a few years ago. Their compositions, like oceanic fish unknown to science, float across the musical landscapes created by multi-instrumentalist Sergei Zyazin and vocalist Alexandra Sokolova. No computers or DJ consoles. The basis of all compositions is powerful and pumping electronics, reaching in their rhythms to outright IDM, born of “live” analog synthesizers - robots, as the maestro affectionately calls them. The skillful weaving of numerous live instruments into the musical canvas of electronic sound makes it easy to take the listener’s point of consciousness far beyond the boundaries of his own self.

At Atlantida Project concerts you can hear a didgeridoo or a Tibetan bowl, a drum or percussion set, while Sergey and Alexandra (vocals) constantly change instruments. Therefore, every performance of the Atlantida Project is also a performance. Often dancers, video artists and guest performers appear in this action. The mysterious “Atlantida Project”! We are looking forward to your performance at the Wild Mint Festival June 13-14-15!

Sasha Almazova is a smart, spectacular blonde who confidently leads her musical group, plays the piano brilliantly, poses for famous photographers for L'Officiel, Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar, writes fragile and femininely reverent songs, performs at stages of jazz clubs, participates in international festivals and... writes books. Alexandra is 25, and the group “Non Cadenza” is 7 years old. Definitely something to be proud of.

It would be possible to list here all the merits and display the “orders” of the group, with which the press release abounds, but happiness is not in orders and prizes. You just come to “Wild Mint” and stop that wonderful moment when Sasha Almazova, having exchanged Converse for stilettos and dressed in a small “cocktail” dress, suddenly flutters onto the stage like a wondrous bird and gives such jazz mixed with soul that everything “ The black men and women of yesteryear will click their tongues of approval from the vinyl records.

Sasha, we are glad to welcome you and your group to the Wild Mint festival! Many will hear “Non Cadenza” for the first time, but we are sure that these songs will pleasantly surprise the “wild” parterre. Why, they will surprise you and make you fall in love once and for all. See you at the festival!

The Naadya group has existed for less than a year, but already all the music media and bloggers interested in contemporary art have turned to the promising maiden Nadezhda Gritskevich and her team in anticipation of something new and hitherto unheard of.

In their previous musical reincarnation they were called Moremoney, and were considered one of the best English-language indie groups in Russia along with On-The-Go and Tesla Boy. Now Nadezhda Gritskevich has decided to give a full-blooded life to her Russian-language songs. The new project, designed to prove that current and fashionable music can be heard in the native language, has received the name “Naadya”. The very first attempts at writing “Save” and “Pirates” instantly went viral on music blogs, earning comparisons with The XX, James Blake and other representatives of experimental pop music.

Following “Pirates” and “Save,” an acoustic version of the song “Laudanum” appeared online, filmed by the Fairlane Acoustics project, and in February of this year, on Valentine’s Day, the romantic single “Cold Frozen” was released. It is difficult to find a performer with such bold musical thinking and performance. In a fairly short time, she took part in a tribute concert to Alexander Vertinsky, recorded a charity single Carol of the Bells, appeared on the release of the Karelian label Full of Nothing, played a number of concerts at prestigious Moscow venues, performed at the Sodra Teatern in Stockholm as part of a special show. case Russia:Music:Change. Such activity did not go unnoticed by the media; Afisha, Rolling Stone, Interview, Time Out, Russian Reporter sang and continue to sing her praises, and in January 2014, the largest music distributor iTunes called her a “rising star” of this season.

What. We wish the "Naadya" group good luck and will be glad to see "Wild Mint" on the stage of the festival!

These lords of the ambiguous musical undertones of the gloomy side of world music have come a long way from noise experiments to a special kind of ethnic music, which was born with the Oikoumene record, which was significant for them and the listener. Having brought from long journeys such exotic instruments as daf, doira and dumbek, udo, kalimba and reko-reko, kashishi, ashiko, as well as many different jambeys and congas, they moved away from the electronic sound familiar to everyone and set off on a musical voyage in the hitherto unexplored acoustic jungle. The excellent result and loud resonance are known to everyone: all music critics and bloggers, as well as some Western publications, spoke about the record, since the record was released on the German label “Danse Macabre Records”, and Theodor Bastard themselves are a notable musical figure not only in Russia, but also abroad.

They will appear at Wild Mint for the third time, and it will be a night performance. Everything that happens at night has a special, sacred meaning, and if we are talking about music that is conducive to meditation, then rest assured that a deep immersion awaits you, the voice of vocalist Yana Veva will lead the listener into the very heart of bright images and enchanting sounds.

By the way, the group will complete its European tour with a concert at Wild Mint. And shortly before this, on May 22 and 24, a presentation and re-release of one of the most ancient works of Theodor Bastard will take place in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The album “Emptiness” will receive a second birth. In any case, after such reincarnations, rethinking and travel, they will arrive at “Wild Mint” in a particularly creative mood, and a fantastic set awaits all listeners.

The Moscow group “Tinavie”, drifting on the waves of new jazz, downtempo and trip-hop, will perform for the first time on the “wild” stage. According to many reputable publications and critics, this indie pop group is one of the best of its kind, and charming vocalist Tina is included in the list of “Top 10 Young Frontmen of Russian Bands”, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

Around Tina gathered the most sought-after Moscow musicians: guitarist Dmitry Zilpert (Zorge), drummer Dmitry Frolov (Melnitsa), keyboardist Dmitry Losev (Safety Magic) and saxophonist Oleg Maryakhin (Inna Zhelannaya’s group) and the unique bassist Sergei “Grebstel” Kalachev. Indeed, a brilliant composition! Over the course of four years, Tinavie released three records, the last of which is called “Comet.” A truly wonderful and filigree-sounding work that flew to our (I don’t want to say) stage from somewhere from the depths of the musical cosmos, gracefully fluffing its fantastic-sounding tail. Beautiful songs performed by a beautiful and talented vocalist who composes her own songs and also plays the piano and violin brilliantly. It’s nice that such a group exists, it’s nice that they will perform at “Wild Mint”.

“Projekt Rakija” is not a great name for a group that sacredly honors Balkan traditions in music? As a small boy, Bosnian guitarist Igor Sekulovic, snoring in his cradle, often listened to the ancient Bosnian blues that his mother sang. Jokes aside, but what else can you compare slow melancholy suffering about love with? Sevdalinka is what these tender, sad songs are called in Bosnia, and believe me, this is the best way to say your feelings in Bosnian.

Meanwhile, Igor Sekulovic grew up, brilliantly graduated from the rock academy in Tilburg, made friends, settled in Amsterdam, got to know the taste of rakia and whiskey, but chose the former, calling his band “Projekt Rakija”! Their first big performance took place at the International Gipsy Festival in Tilburg and brought them resounding success! Another colorful, peppery mixture of Balkan rhythms and Sephardic motifs, a polite nod to Goran Bregovic and a slightly noticeable influence of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd (where would we be without this), as well as virtuoso clarinets, trombones, tubas, saxophones, double bass and... endless love to the musical heritage of his country, from which he left, but to which he returns in every song. With this group, Sevdalinka found a new life and a fresh sound!

What is noteworthy is that “Projekt Rakija” is not only musicians. Gradually, the band acquired very pleasant people of various creative professions and views - animators, designers, photographers, artists and even a hairdresser. They follow the group as one big family, and with them - songs, dances, good food and soulful drinks! This is how it is done in the Balkans, this is their Balkan way in rock. Therefore, the composition of the group is sometimes doubled, or even tripled! But, as we know, there are never too many good people, especially at festivals of “wild” music!

Friends! We are pleased to present the next participant of the Wild Mint festival - the most positive group Apofeoz Orkestra from sunny Latvia, a generator of Jamaican vibrations and a hotly loved brand in Riga! Seven musicians flirt with the listener in a frivolous fusion style. Constantly traveling to bars and clubs and performing at festivals, they came up with their original sound: their songs contain the morning pulse of the city, performed in Caribbean rhythms, with a bit of reggae and hip-hop. These melodies stick in your head for the whole day, and you want to hum them while driving a car, in a fitness club or in the office.

Literally a year ago, to the delight of fans and simply music lovers, they presented to the world their first single “Stupid Day”, in which Noize MC appeared. Further more! Their cheerful song “Vegetables” has become the unofficial anthem of all vegetarians, and the track “Because I have everything” has a philosophical vector - the theme of happiness is revealed in it easily and simply.

Apofeoz Orkestra is currently recording their debut album and preparing to perform at Wild Mint. See you on June 13-14-15 at Ethnomir!

Hungary, comfortably located in the very center of Europe, is known not only for the pristine lakes of Heviz and Balaton, the resorts of Szeged and Debrecen, luxurious palaces and castles or the picturesque banks of the Danube... Gourmets, of course, will add aromatic goulash soup and fragrant Tokaj wine to this list. It's like that! But Hungary, with its 1000-year-old culture, is also a real musical power. This year, Hungarian music will be played at “Wild Mint”: the Kovacs Sisters Nori and Judit are coming to us.

In their homeland and abroad, they are the most famous performers of “wild” Hungarian songs, in which tradition and modernity coexist perfectly. Two sisters like “Belyanochka” and “Rosochka” are completely different and so similar in their love for music. Nori sings Hungarian lyrical ballads, and Judit plays the zither, flute, viola, and gardon very well. The group also has more “classical” rock instruments, and at concerts everything is woven into a single, lively and very bright musical canvas.

All the songs that you will hear at their performance or find online are ancient Hungarian melodies that the girls “collected” while traveling through foggy Transylvania. Yes, yes, the same one where charming Draculas are found. Joke!

Our Hungarian princesses have an excellent concert schedule and discography, and they regularly perform in the USA, London, and their native Hungary and the surrounding area. They will open the 2014 summer festival season at Wild Mint, and we are looking forward to their performance, and we advise you not to miss it!

The group's performance at the festival was organized with the assistance of the Hungarian Cultural Center.

On the eve of the "men's" holiday, we decided to announce the very beautiful and talented St. Petersburg performer Olya Bravina! There are never too many beautiful women and this girl is no exception.

“OLYABRAVINA” is a young, constantly experimenting project. “Frontgirl” and its musicians create fresh, gentle songs in smooth English that give the listener a special inner space, comfortable and bright.

The vocalist's light, ethereal voice gracefully combines with electronics, acoustics, jazz and academic traditions. Downtempo, indie-pop, pop jazz, lounge - it is these “enveloping” styles that are mixed in Olya’s songs, forcing you to listen not only to her “purring” voice, but also to yourself.

This project has already been noticed and appreciated not only in Russia. Olya is favored by famous European musicians and producers - Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague), Geoff Johns (multiple Grammy Award winner), the well-known singer Lenka, with whom Olya shared the stage at the star's St. Petersburg concert.

Well. We are glad that such a beautiful “wild-growing” lily appeared in the festival’s lineup, and if you are not yet familiar with the work of “OLYABRAVIN,” we advise you to watch this video, and don’t miss her performance at “Wild Mint” itself.

We congratulate everyone on the coming of spring and announce a new member of “Wild Mint”. The touching and spring-like fresh Ukrainian group “Pur:Pur”, in which the beautiful and talented girl Nata Smirina sings. At “Wild Mint” they love and expect such people! Light, pleasant sound, a touching female voice, singing about the simplest and most understandable things - about love and loneliness, about kisses (well, as you wanted), about not holding grudges and again about. love.

Despite her sophisticated image and gentle songs, the band’s frontwoman Nata Smirina completed a total of 44,000 km of touring in 2013 alone, playing 51 concerts with her band! The musicians maintain an active position not only in relation to live performances; they recorded four diverse records, from the sound of which one can observe how the group changed and developed. Most recently they released the single "Bear", (consisting of the song "Bear" and "No hope"). And it should be noted that its reach on VKontakte alone amounted to 11 million people. The venerable “Esquire”, “Timeout”, “Rolling Stone” and “Afisha” did not deprive the group of attention.

Well. Laurels are laurels, and songs are songs! This year you will have a great opportunity to listen to them live at the Wild Mint festival. This kind of music is best absorbed when you are sitting on the green grass, under the gentle sun, hugging a friend wearing a wreath of fragrant herbs. Come! June 13-14-15, Ethnomir, the group “Pur:pur” for the first time on the “wild” stage!

The group "Iva Nova" will perform at the seventh international world music festival "Wild Mint"! These crazy representatives of the St. Petersburg ethno-avant-garde have repeatedly captivated the “wild” spectators!

Most recently they released the album "220 V", which fully lives up to its name. This is an incredibly perky and energetic live, which the girls recorded at a festival in Amaliendorf, Austria this summer.

The line-up has changed and the sound has also changed. On "Wild Mint" you will appreciate the band's new original sound, which is dominated by keyboards and accordion. But it must be said that bold experiments in which girls enthusiastically mix ethnicity, electronics and rock and roll have not been canceled.

"Iva Nova" is an incredibly mobile band and annually tours European countries - Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Sweden, Finland, Iceland. Everywhere they are known, loved and expected as representatives of the vibrant Russian culture abroad. They are also expected at the Wild Mint festival on June 13, 14, 15! Let's go, let's go!

McDonogh Brass Band will perform at the Wild Mint Festival! I must say, we have never had such “wild” musicians! Or rather, they are the most musical musicians! But we discovered them in a rather unconventional way: one spring weekend, a music lover we knew flew on an airplane (with a silver wing, of course) to a town overseas for the purpose of tourism and in general. He walked along the street and enjoyed the views here too. Chu! Hears sounds and screams, applause and laughter! What is it there and why is the crowd so happy?

An excellent brass band strides along the streets of the city, the musicians are all one in white shirts, the brass is burning in the sun, trombones and saxophones, tubas and trumpets are roasting from the heart in the best traditions of street concerts! And along with them, Mr. Kelvin Harrison marches and playfully leads the brass band! He is their “father” and a conductor like no other; he created this school orchestra immediately after the famous Hurricane Katrina, which demolished not only all the buildings in the city, but even the musical foundations in local schools.

Our music lover filmed this beauty on his mobile phone and sent it to us, and we decided that such frisky guys have the right place at the festival of “wild” music! Let them give such jazz on June 13-14-15 that “black” fathers will not be ashamed!

These excellent Estonian guys started with the track “Raggamasta” on one of the radio stations, so powerfully and loudly that all of sunny Estonia turned around, smiled and... became even more sunny! After all, the songs of this group intertwine all the shades of peace-loving reggae, colorful African motifs and elastic rhythms of dub music

The musicians of the Bombillaz group do not sit still, but love to travel around the southern outskirts of the planet in search of fresh ideas, inspiration and in order to expand their musical horizons. And after traveling to their heart's content, they write new songs and perform in numerous Estonian pubs, as well as at European festivals. So they will come to “Wild Mint” this summer! On June 13-14-15 they will perform on one of the stages and you will be able to experience live what hot Estonian reggae is!

The group “Shoo” is an excellent example of unity with the endless beauty of music that has ever been born in the vastness of the Universe. The songs on “Shoo” radiate the full spectrum of sound: a wide and powerful groove of drums, a light call of southern percussion, gentle trills of flutes and trumpets, careful kalimba and viscous bandoneon. Shoo create music that melts boundaries between countries and cultures, uniting traditions from different parts of the world.

The soul of the group is the original singer “Shoo”, who, from the age of five, drifted on the waves of jazz, rock, folk, funk, R&B, reggae, gospel, absorbing the very essence and, finally, went on a free voyage, around the world and dizzying under the sail of “absolute soul”, this is what the band’s musicians call their style. On June 13-14-15, they will land on their schooner on our “wild” shores and give a great concert! All we have to do is wait! See you at Wild Mint!

“Bahroma” a fresh and romantic group with an insinuating name. In their extreme reincarnation, they have not existed for so long, but, despite this, they managed to write a considerable number of beautiful songs about love. These guys know what they are doing and would be able to convince even the most capricious princess of the sincerity of their intentions.

“The new hope of Ukrainian romantic music,” music critic Andrei Bukharin called the group. There is definitely hope The group “Bahroma” started online with the single “Forever”, which was produced by Milos Jelic, keyboardist of the group “Okean Elzy”, and after a while a very romantic video was shot for it. The single immediately fell into heavy rotation on major Ukrainian and Russian radio stations, and the video for this composition won television airplay.

This was followed by concerts, festivals and joint performances with “Good Charlotte”, “Brainstorm”, “Okean Elzy”, “Boombox”, with Sergei Babkin and many other musicians who felt a kindred “romantic” vein in the young group “Bahroma”. This year, on Valentine’s Day, their debut album “Inside” was released on iTunes and the names of the songs on the record speak for themselves - “You and I”, “Her Name”, “Moving towards Spring”. The Bahroma group will perform at “Wild Mint” for the first time, and everyone who loves acoustic, velvety sound will greatly enjoy their concert. See you on June 13-14-15!
