Cologne's Lanxess Arena, which is capable of hosting various types of public events, was opened in 1998 and seats 18.5 thousand people at hockey matches. The Paris AccorHotels Arena, better known as the Bercy Sports Palace, was built in 1984 and reconstructed in 2015. The arena will host major hockey competitions for the first time; previously it hosted, for example, the Davis Cup tennis final, two Final Fours of the European Club Basketball Championship and the Final Four of the Euroleague Basketball, and karting competitions. The palace can accommodate 14.5 thousand people for hockey events.
